:study: More research LOL ...

Re: https://www.accordalliance.org/faqs/doe ... u-a-woman/

"most of us know whether we are men or women even though we have no idea what our 'sex chromosomes' are.
Gender identity is about who you know yourself to be, not about how your sex chromosomes look on a microscope slide."

 The LOL? How does one know if they are a man or a woman
when these traditional definitions are no longer definitive :?: :!:

 Who knew :?: :!: "Gender Y" now means "Why does it matter?!"
(on a passport, Gen Y means "Ask for currently perceived identity."

"Both men and women carrying the bug Toxoplasma gondii were perceived as more attractive. Scientists believe the tiny parasite
subtly alters hosts’ behaviour — possibly through its effects on key hormones – to increase the likelihood of being passed on."

"It is unclear how it affects humans. But one suggestion is that infection interferes with genes
that control production of 'happy hormones' serotonin and dopamine." :o

 That any parasite from pets can be beneficial is questionable,
but this article insinuates the possibility and then arouses
(curiosity about other parasites that might lurk nearby
... especially if pets sleep with their owners).

 First guess, judging by wide opening of gator's mouth and thickness of ball's covering:
ball is wedged and can neither be chomped nor spat out for a pass to a teammate.

Re: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... loved.html
"Chicago mayor says carjackers strike because they feel 'unloved' "

 Perhaps true, but this feeling of not being loved does not happen suddenly,
suggesting many years of family/social abuse. And this suggests carjacking
will require both "carrot and stick" before it stops.

Apparently, the "love" solution is to never resist a carjacking
or any other crime only involving theft. If your life is in danger,
however, "tough love" may be your better option. ;)

Re: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... iques.html
"Seattle museum hosts $400 week-long summer camp for kids as young as 12 that teaches the 'art of drag' "

"Led by Seattle performer Joshua Hancock, you'll investigate drag history and work together with local artists to create your own personas.
You'll choose your name, explore hair and makeup techniques, and develop your character's stage presence. At the end of the week,
celebrate your new drag personas with a private showcase!" :roll

 Interestingly, "drag" used to be men appearing as and performing as women (with most do-overs revealing original identity).
But now "drag", if truly art, should include all gender expressions with a do-over permitting any dual combination of identities.
When this occurs, the Art of Drag then becomes the Art of Trans(ition). :hithere

:bana: Suddenly, the Art of Transition suggests opportunity to explore a preferred persona
before surgery/medications force permanence of that new persona. 8)

A male wannabe chef might even explore the Julia Child persona, relative to one's current age.
(easily conceivable since "A cookbook is only as good as its poorest recipe.") :o

"Bride Charged Each Guest $75 For Their Dinner Plate At Her Wedding,
And People Are Saying It's Actually Becoming A Common Thing" :o

"the trashiness here is only asking people to pay after they RSVPed. If the invitation had been upfront
about the price, people who just couldn’t afford it could lie and say they were already busy.
But since they already RSVPed 'yes', there are no other excuses they can use."

 Actually, a "trashy" invitation begs a "trashy" RSVP cancelled
... for whatever "trashy" reason can be invented :!:

 The average poor guest "trashed" may decide to use a credit card
to pay for their dinner plate when served, leaving appropriate tip.

"Get ready to see these buzzing around Frisco (Tx) soon", "Yeah, you can hear it." :o

 So, thousands of these buzzin' around a neighborhood sound like what? Mechanical mosquitos?
And they're disturbing your peace to deliver ice cream (or pizza or ...) to your neighbor?!

Best guess: Not a serious problem for the 3-pound deliveries, but wait until you hear the noise of the heavier deliveries!
Best guess: Until homeowners complain, drones pass over their homes to reach the delivery point ... then return the same route!
Best guess: Neighbors may be tolerant if they get free samples of your food deliveries from time to time.
That's the ticket! A group pizza! (drone drops off a slice to each home in group) 8)

Best guess: Police helicopters will always have the right way (and police may get a tip to inspect a package before its delivery
since it may be drugs or weapons or sexxxy movies).

Best guess: Drones themselves are not prepared to fly amongst thousands of delivery drones.
As for birds, they probably don't return to Capistrano next year! :(

Best guess: Happier are the neighbors who order lasers to shoo a delivery drone (or capture a free package).
Best guess: Laws don't exist yet to properly control/coordinate thousands of drone deliveries :!:

 OMG! What happens if a drone delivers an unexpected package to you?
Do you keep it? Open it? Is it safe? Verify with your 'Whatsit?' app :?:

"What a world!", "What a world!" Hurry! ... or the ice cream be melting:

:stars: It's mind-boggling that this debate now rages for several years
when biologically (re: anatomy & chromosomes) 'man' and 'woman'
are precisely defined ... and have been for millennia :!:

 Perhaps, the problem is that modern society refuses
to accept widely varying behaviors of men and women,
thus requiring a fathomless pit of new terms ...
which have still-evolving definitions!

 Conspiracy theory explains that this debate is nurtured
to guarantee that 'man' and 'woman' remain undefinable ...
therefore a mysterious agenda. :?

"Unisex Transhuman" comes to mind. ;)

"At the same time, I began feeling sexually attracted to girls, though later I realised I was bisexual ... I confided in my boyfriend and he was very supportive because, back then, he assumed that doctors knew what they were doing."

 Interesting story with important but subtle revelation: Bisexuality is probably more common than believed (or accepted, even in today's society!). Obviously, exploration of sexuality before mating (pairing with another person of same or different biological sex) is appropriate, but such exploration with others should stop while in that relationship. ;)

"British hospitals asking men if they are pregnant before getting scans"

"The regulations regarding procedures were actually updated in 2017, where the wording from the Department of Health changed from 'females of childbearing age' to 'individuals of childbearing potential.' "

 Naturally, medical staff are obligated to follow the government's "letter of the law" and not presume to know the biological sex of the patient. Apparently, "looking under the hood" is no longer medically acceptable confirmation of a person's sex. :o

:duh Interestingly, medical technology is so new, complex, and confusing that a recently vaccinated male (traditional definition) might believe that he (traditional definition) could indeed be pregnant! ... with delivery potential still mysterious as well as type of creature to be delivered unknown (assuming a living - not bionic - creature). :finger:

 Best guess: If a male (traditional definition) discovers that he (traditional definition) is indeed pregnant, insemination by a space alien would be just as believable as vaccination mischief/experimentation. Then there's the more provocative explanation: "I was once stiffed by a date and spent the rest of the night at a bar. ... as I recall."

"Nearly two-thirds of adults in the United States say they would be comfortable if their child came out as lesbian, gay or bisexual ...
but only half would be comfortable with having a transgender or nonbinary child."

Re: https://lgbt.foundation/who-we-help/tra ... non-binary

"Non-binary is used to describe people who feel their gender cannot be defined within the margins of gender binary.
Instead, they understand their gender in a way that goes beyond simply identifying as either a man or woman."

 Actually, "came out" refers to two different events: biological birth and (later) gender self-perception.
IMO, the problem of "transgender" is the physical alteration of biological reality and the problem of "nonbinary"
is the refusal to accept a Darwinian scientific classification :!:

 However, "Darwinian classification" (organisms are grouped according to both similarity and genetic relationship)
is now an oxymoron for modern gender discussion ... since genetic relationship (re: chromosomes) does not change
but similarity varies according to the second (or third ... ) coming out.

"New Jersey parents outraged at plan for first-graders to be given sex education lessons dubbed 'Pink, Blue and Purple' on gender identity"

"curriculum also includes instructions for teachers to tell students their gender identity is up to them"

:bana: An interesting decade ahead ... considering children's imagination :!: This kind of instruction should probably coordinate with their art education since there are MANY more colors! (more than enough for all current identities and more to be imagined). However, purple already hints of trouble with the church, since purple has long been associated with Easter celebration, for example.

 By the end of the decade, most popular colors will have associated with a particular sexual identity, making clothes purchases easier ... if children prefer to advertise their identity. And several decades ago, colored handkerchiefs were popular for advertising sub-identity of gay males (albeit, in which pocket to wear one oft required professional counseling). ;)

"Gorgeous rainbow-colored butts" may be destined for public display next. :o

to anticipate sufficient time to cross ... and some vehicles may be hidden by others that are closer :!:

"Transgender who changed from male to female says she identifies as a baby and demands nappies, baby food and a dummy" :o

 Not so surprising since "transgender" relates more to one's self-perception (mind) - not physical body.
Perhaps, medical science can now provide surgery and drugs for conversion to this unusual identity.

However, that the brain knows how to make given anatomy work correctly is good evidence
that mind - not body - is the greater dysfunction of such integrated biology :!:

:study: Re: https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4054470/posts
"Transgender psychologist: 'I think it’s gone too far' "

"She has helped hundreds of teens transition. But she has also come to believe that some children identifying as trans are falling under the influence of their peers and social media and that some clinicians are failing to subject minors to rigorous mental health evaluations before recommending hormones or surgeries." :o

"It is widely known that the executive function of the brain — specifically in terms of planning and anticipation of consequences — is not fully mature until approximately age 25. That is why so many parents, and often progressive parents who strongly support LGBTQIA+ rights, express concern when their child announces they are trans and have started hormones without undergoing gender exploratory psychotherapy."

"Psaki circles back ... saying she wasn't 'being critical' when she called him a 'stupid son of a b***h' "

 The reality of spoken language: More is being communicated than just words (facial expressions, gestures, tone of voice, etc.) ... and confirming text alone (e.g., email, texting in social media, printed stories) is susceptible to communicating that which was not intended.

A father shouting 'stupid son of a b***h' at a teenage son seems offensive unless delivered with the right tone voice as in humor, but shouting the same words at his dog that just chewed on his new leather boots is usually not delivered with humor :!:

"(U.S.) Court Rules That Police Can Inflict Pain On Detained Individuals"

"The Fourth Amendment guarantees the right of people 'to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures,' and is one of the most important protections against police overstep. Because Martin did not cause permanent injury to Hymond, the judges ruled his actions did not rise to the level of a constitutional violation."

"Experts hope that the full Fifth Circuit will overturn the ruling of the three-judge panel." :finger:

 IMO, "permanent injury" seems judicial overreach in this wording since injuries are not always permanent (people eventually heal even from serious injuries). This wording suggests that police can inflict injuries that are not permanent.
