Re: Sadhguru on Samadhi
good morning dylan
i can't watch the video right now,
but i'm curious what your thoughts are about it.
how have you come to understand this term samadhi? how long has this idea of union stirred within you, and where do you find your self at this time exploring these concepts?
i hope you are having a great day

Re: Sadhguru on Samadhi
Here goes: he talks about the equanimity of the intellect, where we stop dividing the world into pieces, and start seeing things as equivalent (This is Samadhi during meditation).
He discusses how the West is obsessed with an overactive intellect in survival mode always.
There are different levels of Samadhi, where we progressively feel one with everything. Personally I think this is a good place to attempt Oneness with our Thought Adjuster.
He suggests we try to maintain at least some level of Samadhi during the day, even at work, which is described as keeping the sword (the intellect) placed carefully in it's scabbard.
That pretty much sums it up.
Regards,
Dylan.

Re: Sadhguru on Samadhi
hi Dylan,
thanks for sharing.
i prefer interacting here on the forums than watching videos. i have a friend whose whole forum is just link after link, with little exchange. thats not what draws me in. i like the thoughtful exchange of ideas between real people. and i have learned words like samadhi, fusion with the TA- are awesome concepts that, experientially, might look different to different people.
i was in an "astral community" and learned the word OBE was a misnomer for something i prefered to call the, "WBE" the wider body experience. this might be more akin to samadhi and fusion with the TA- where the distinctions between observed and observer are more like a transparent veil than a dense material.
your timing is interesting because just two nights ago i was in deep prayer remembering my longest desire for communion with god- remembering all belongs to god- all is god. and yesterday that was my practice out in the world. anything i looked at, i would say internally "belongs to god" or "is gods" and eventually my mind would simply say, "God."
even the choice word god, and how we come to experience this, is aptly unique for any maturing soul. this is also why i asked where you are at with your experiences, and how you understand the word samadhi.
after the prayer, i had a profound dream centered around the pursuit of an ideal.... and marriage
(a merging with the TA)
one of the words i was given at an intuitive level after waking up was, "Vectors" and it had a lot to do with my understanding of awareness as greater than the physical body.
i woke up and found a green and gold beetle resting on my window.
and in that moment, i couldn't help but feel Gods presence.
even the song i was listening to seemed to be speaking relative to the moment, the lyrics coming from the speaker- as i saw the beetle and felt God
were, "the eagle has landed."
i got on the ground and just leaned up against the window placing my hand and head near the beetle... i whispered... "i love you, i love you, i love you..."
The idea of vectors ... where observer and observed come together... Between, "I love you" and "You are loved" as a space that can be held, and relished...
That awareness- in its grandiosity, can be felt experientially through these vectors... And that we're given a choice with how to commune.
Whether that desire is called, samadhi- fusion with the TA or even just a sincere plea for God.
you said,
i hope my questions aren't taken as disruptive, i'm just sharing here as equal participant and curious brother- i'm not here to debate methodologies or even how others come to experience these choice words.
i want to include- the 1111 phenomenon has really become more clear to me these last two years especially as active guidance and communication With.
it has always been(WITH), even all those years ago, but to think of how far we've come with the help of that constant guiding force. through the subtle adjustments provided by God as Spirit- a guiding force, my own capacities as far as bandwidth have increased - this is only meant to give credit to the subtle reality and power that is God. i realize my whole orientation has somehow been guided from duality to non-duality and wu-wei. it started with Sufism discovered at the dream level, where i'd find teachers uniting hearts in God and online forums around, "the law of one." All of this gives credence to the idea of a, "progressive soul" and even fusion with the TA.
which is why i've asked you how you've come to experience these things.
thanks for opening the space up!

Re: Sadhguru on Samadhi
hello Brother!
According to the Urantia Book, we don't attain Adjuster fusion until we're ready to 'disappear in Chariots of Fire', ready to leave this plane. But I don't think this prevents from 'being one' with our Adjuster or other aspects of reality through meditation. Adjuster fusion is way up in the highest psychic circle of attainment, and few humans have ever done this, many more will in the Golden Ages to come.
I honestly was a bit slack for a while when it comes to communing with Spirit, and for a decent time I was stuck because I had some stubborn negativity in my brain. I think 'Samadhi' is the perfect place from which to commune with our Adjuster, because it feels so safe, and mental hostilities have been virtually wiped from the mind. From this place we can safely explore higher aspects of consciousness, and experiment with Adjuster union, how it might feel, what it might do, and who we might become.
I think setting our intention in a safe meditative space leads to magic!
That's my two cents on the matter,
Dylan

Re: Sadhguru on Samadhi
P.S. My new experience is my third eye is opening, and I am beginning to perceive the "shape" of soul, character and personality. We all have a unique higher dimensional or morontia structure of Self. It seems to sit on top of the brain. Jesus' character may sit on top of that in turn, infusing us with higher ways. It's a wonderful thing to be accessing the lower morontia levels of life!

Re: Sadhguru on Samadhi
Hello Dylan and Eric,
It is nice to be able to get on the board and move from forum to forum in a timely way. The board has been so slow that I could barely post the celestial messages, and my time is so limited that was about all I could do. So today, it's a blessing for me to be able to read and view posts and videos, and then respond. I am grateful for both of you and your sharing and outreach of ideas, along with something deeper and even more important...love.
Dylan, I really enjoyed the wise master in the video you shared speaking of loving our neighbor, who is always the person or being beside us. ( "Being" is also the green and gold beetle Eric loved demonstrating, a lovely state of Samadhi.) He was so right, if you think about it, saying it would have been so much easier if Jesus had said, " Love the person on the other side of the world." And I think that is what it all boils down to.
Intellect and beliefs about right and wrong divide us, whether over religious, spiritual, and national affiliations, our politics, or even our views and understanding of the nature of things. Yes, it all divides and creates an atmosphere antithetical to Samadhi. I loved his explanation: as an example when your child and another child come into your home, and the other child does something so sweet that you hug them both close, and in that moment you don't know one child from another. That is so beautiful. And that is a level of Samadhi
I was only able to view half so far, but I needed to hear that today as it is so easy to allow our beliefs to run the show instead of love and finding middle ground and building bridges of love between us. That is what I want: bridges of love. How can we go wrong if we love each other?
I love all you guys!
Sandy

Re: Sadhguru on Samadhi
oh sandy
you are the joy in my heart right now!
thank you friend for such love and wisdom. i am truly grateful you could take the time to respond in the manner you have, and remind me of what's more important.
i have just come to similar realizations and tried sharing them in my "discovering answers" thread... which has kind of become like a public journal documenting those "samadhi" like experiences.
love you friend!
