Thanks Rod!
Your timing is impectable with this recipe. I am leaning as of yesterday to being a vegetarian. I will definitely be adding the Tofu Taco meat to my vegetarian recipe repertoire. :D

Garbanzo Garden Sauté

These complementary mild flavors and textures
create a satisfying main dish even for brunch!
After cooking, serve hot, cold or Goldilocks!
... and with cheese if you please. :D

:roll Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups chopped carrots
1 lg sweet onion, chopped
1 lg bunch spinach, chopped
2 tbsp virgin olive oil
1 tbsp dried parsley
3/4 tsp garlic powder
3/4 tsp salt
15oz can garbanzo beans, drained

 Directions:

In large sauce pan, layer rinsed veggies
as listed, drizzle on olive oil, begin sauté.

When carrots are al dente, sprinkle on spices,
spread on garbanzo beans and cover pan
(add water just to maintain moisture).

When veggies are steamed, stir gently,
turn off heat, let rest covered 10 min.

Chocolate Garbanzo Lickables

Post by Amigoo »

Chocolate Garbanzo Lickables (proof of concept)

What's this concept? How to create things to lick?

:roll Ingredients:

15oz can garbanzo beans, rinsed & drained
1/4 cup virgin olive oil
1/2 cup 100% cacao powder
2-3 tbsp powdered sugar

 Directions:

Place parchment paper on wide dinner plate
(or inside 8" x 8" baking dish, or whatever).

Heat garbanzo beans in large skillet
just until hot and dry.

Microwave olive oil in deep cereal bowl
until hot; mix cacao powder and sugar
then stir well into hot olive oil.

Gently fold in heated garbanzo beans, then
use spatula to spoon onto parchment paper.

Cover with plastic wrap and press firmly
to create one layer of beans. Refrigerate. 8)

 "How to serve?" Dunno! Depends. ;)
 "Depends on what?" Whatever.
 "This is Cacaophony!" Indeed. :rambo:
 "Make it nutty?" Whenever :!:

Rod ... :bike: ... (need whipped cream and walnuts)
