Thought Adjuster: “For a long time, the children of men have been accustomed to blaming the Father for their misfortunes. A few give credit to the Father when things go the way they want. Often, this false gratitude stems from fear of angering a God who might take away everything they have obtained on a whim. Now that you have awakened a little, you know that the Father does not involve Himself in human life in that way.

Many things you would consider blessings are, in fact, harmful to your spiritual progress. Other things that may seem like misfortunes and cause you discomfort are exactly the opportunities you need to advance toward your eternal goal. The Father is not the cause of your sorrows. Your problems are often the consequences of past thoughtless decisions or the results of the collective choices of your community, nation, or civilization. Other times, they are simply accidents of time. You must once and for all discard the idea that your Father places obstacles in your path to test you.

However, life in a material world is prone to accidents and misfortunes. The experience can be truly difficult for some, not because the Father has abandoned them, but because that is how things are in worlds where perfection manifests only partially. Yet, the Father rejoices when His children, faced with the normal difficulties of life in a material world, manage to transcend their nature and master their environment in such a way that every problem, every tragedy, and every uncomfortable situation becomes an opportunity to promote spiritual growth and manifest an increasingly perfected nature.

It is the experience of living in a world like this—a confusing world—that will enable you to understand at a higher level the truth that we are all children of a Father who loves us unconditionally. If you manage to forge a dynamic faith even amid confusion and hardship, you will discover the Father in a dimension that cannot be achieved in more normal worlds, where everything runs smoothly and difficulties are sporadic. Feel grateful to live in this world—the very world that Michael of Nebadon chose for His mortal life experience—because the abundance of opportunities to forge a spiritually noble character and achieve a faith that transcends what is expected of a creature is unparalleled anywhere else in the universe.”
