Off go my shoes!!! And I am reverting back to my bare feet of old! Truly hadn't realized until I read this article just how much shoes have become a must for me when ten years or so ago off they'd go when ever possible. (Of course Bindies are part of the change in my foot attire. Anyone who spends much time in Australia can attest to the verocity of this nondescript, sneaky, aggressive, painful little yard weed.) https://www.google.com.au/search?q=bind ... 52&bih=558

I've been doing this lately on lunch when working from home. You definitely feel more connected to everything around you when you take off your shoes!

Thanks for that, Lightened. I've been thinking of taking an hour in the early afternoons to sit outside with my feet in the dirt and read. Your 'unsolicited testimonial' will help me follow through on that. :sunflower:

You know this is something I have neglected lately too despite my best efforts. Last Winter (actually would be summer in the US) I would sit out every morning with the birds. It began in a lawn chair in the beginning but gravitated to sitting on the bare ground with them about me doing their thing. (magpies such wonderful birds!) I nearly immediately noticed the difference in my sense of well being.
May very well be a good idea to work this back into my day. :sunflower:
