Just yesterday a friend told me how much she admired the band, U2...and especially Bono for all the humanitarian causes he's involved in.

Recently, Bono auctioned off one of his guitars to Brazil's Hunger Campaign.

Here's the article.

Today I found a new book that I want to read. It's called "Walk On, The Spiritual Journey of U2". I think I was meant to read this...as all the sychronicities seem to match up.

Anyone read this yet?

Hey Skye,

I hadn't read that one yet, but I picked up a copy of a little mag called "Science of the Mind: Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life" (great title huh?) and Bono was on the cover as the Spiritual Hero of the Year. It's a good article and I had seen him on 60 minutes not too long ago and decided that he is really quite a great person doing quite a bit of good - very impressive especially for a rock star!

Let me know how that book is when you finish it.

Love,
Tulia

Hey there!

I am a 'browser' on this board but I saw this post and want to make a quick comment on Bono.

The man is a true saint. He is setting a wonderful example for the rest of us out there to take a stand, use our resources for the good of the whole and keep a steady heart. I agree, Tulia, it's very impressive for a rock star!

I read the most recent interview he did with Rolling Stone and found him to be a beautiful person with a very kind soul. I have been a fan forever so to know that his determination and purpose over the years hasn't waivered a bit is so encouraging. I would love to be able to talk to him someday....about anything in the world.

I will have to make a bigger point now to go get that book after seeing your post, Skye. I'm glad you mentioned it.

Hey Petra!

A handle is a nickname or alias. Most commonly a handle is used in CB radio between over the road truckers. I guess it's kind of found it's way into other areas of life, like message boards! I forget sometimes that not all walks of life understand all terms!

I've seen you a lot on the boards during my silent period (before registering and making myself known!), and I'd say the feeling is mutual; I think you'd be fun to have a great laugh with also! Too bad you are half a continent and a whole ocean away!

At any rate, we can still have some laughs!

Big Hugs,
Stacey

Hi AceyStay,

Sorry I took so long to get back to you.

Don't know if you're into reading about musicians (my husband's one..so it's quite a big interest in our family), but I also wouldn't mind reading alot more about Carlos Santana.

Recently I saw a "Story Of" documentary on Carlos and he and his wife are really into Angels and donating their money to alot a good causes.

The Angel Alliance network had a really good interview with him on their website. Here it is if you are interested.
