A strange drift on my wall piece

I finally treated myself to a handcrafted mechanical regulator for my living room, thinking the sweep would bring some peace to the space. It’s a beautiful weight-driven piece, but despite the precision expected from such a high-end movement, it keeps gaining exactly three minutes every week since I mounted it on the stone wall. I’ve tried leveling the case and adjusting the pendulum nut twice, yet this consistent gap persists regardless of my tweaks. There’s something unsettling about a luxury instrument failing to keep real time while looking so perfect. Maybe the vibrations in this old house are affecting the escapement in a way I don't grasp. I’d value hearing if anyone else has noticed their timepieces acting up or showing patterns that defy the manual.
What do you make of this constant shift?

Hi Kareen,

I've owned various timepieces for decades and found that none of them maintain perfect time for months
except for those that get updated by an electronic signal (cell phones, computers, even one wall clock).

However, any digital display, correct or not, is used by Midwayers in their time prompting.
Even digital timers as they count down can provide a Midwayer time prompt! That many
timepieces provide a way to increase/decrease time passage indicates they're vulnerable
to time drift because of a physical influence.

(Google Gemini) "Weight-driven timepieces (like grandfather, grandmother, or wall-mounted
regulator clocks) are notably vulnerable to vibrations. Because they rely on the physics of
swinging pendulum to keep time, even minor external movements can disrupt their accuracy
or cause them to stop altogether."

Hi Kareen!

Welcome to the 1111 angels message board. We've received a small bump in new members this year and that is quite exciting!

Even if you manage to satisfy an explanation, from a purely logical stand point, I am encouraged by your presence here on the Angels message board of all places where you've decided to pose your question.

This is a joyful moment, and I look forward to your future participation.

Kind regards ~
