Can I please ask for healing and prayers for my Father in Law in Japan. We have just found out that he had a stroke this morning Australian time and is in hospital in Kyoto. We will try and get there asap. Thank you.

Hi Kim,
This is a slow process here.
Today we will go to the Japanese embassy to put in my application for a spouse visa.
That will take at least 2 weeks then we have to put in for a flight exemption.
It's quite difficult to fly out of Australia. Although we have a good reason we will have to get a letter from the doctor in Japan and get it translated by an approved department.
Even Melody's brother can't visit him in hospital because of Covid.
The hospital did release some photos of him to us and they were heartbreaking.
It's a long process here. Also one condition on leaving is that it's for at least 6 months. That's why I need a spouse visa.

Oh, my. Didn't realize Melody's brother wasn't able to see him. My heart is breaking for you both thinking of when you first saw the photos. I'll be redoubling my prayers for you all.
