Thanksgiving is a Time for Sharing

Thanksgiving is a time for sharing
Reaching out, expressing our caring
For those around who may be in need
A time to harvest what’s grown from seed
And offer thanks for the food we eat
Gratitude for a new year to greet
Change that leads us out of the dark
Offering hope and the smallest spark
To light our spirit: ignite our heart
Revealing a way that we can start
To be a part of the changing tide
And find a way to enjoy the ride

I give thanks to everyone of you
Supporting me to do what I do
All of the love that I have to give
Is what enriches this life I live
And all of the love you offer me
Ifs the very thing that holds the key
To open my heart and my spirit
And write these words so you can hear it
