Re: Floor Plan 001 (new geometry design)
"Anticipating universe broadcasts."
(see: http://aitnaru.org/images/Floor_Plan_001.pdf )
Anticipating that a UB-readers retreat (maybe several) will be developed some day soon, here's an intriguing floor plan for a 12-room living/activity building including a meditation/worship center with a "Sea of Glass" receiving crystal complement (order from second mansonia). Multi-level circular seating around the receiving crystal provides room for 24 (maximum occupancy of the 12-room building).
Some features ...
- main doors open toward green arcs.
- red walls fold to create larger space.
- bathrooms are on exterior wall, in corners.
- bathroom doors open toward bedroom entryway.
- closets are on exterior wall, in center of wall.
- sliding closet doors open into the bedroom.
- one room may be main entrance for some events.
- permanent walls in two rooms for maximum privacy.
- interior space can be subdivided as needed.
(perhaps including small kitchen, TV center).
- covered walkway all around building.

Re: The benefits of reading the Urantia Book
I'm certain that UB readers have a mandate to contribute to the guidance of planet 606. With medical science still advancing toward total control of the human body, here's a controversial topic that, at least, causes focus on what part of the human body is its true essence:
Re: http://www.blacklistednews.com/China%3A ... 8/Y/M.html
Considering that such transplants will be possible within a few decades, I wondered "After the operation, Who's on first?":
Seems to me ...
The entity (body or head) with the more dominant parts of the human immune system determines the entity susceptible to rejection. From this perspective, the body is the entity in greater control and would (might) attempt to reject the head. Which presents an interesting reversal of nature: the head (brain/mind) should be the greater control of the totality, yet the body will now attach with significant "veto" power in the enterprise (ultimately, "my way or the highway") ... unless well-controlled by immunosuppressants.
... and if the body retains such veto power during the lifetime of the new enterprise, the head might wish to have a Plan B in mind, including a totally mechanical body.

Re: Head transplant
A friend responded "Say what?", so here's the "what?" ...
I know from my former wife's kidney transplant experience that another person's organ is often rejected. Anti-rejection drugs usually have to be taken for the rest of the recipient's life. Since the main parts of the immune system reside in the body, the head becomes the transplanted organ - not the body.
BTW: I overheard a conversation during one of my many trips to the hospital because of this transplant. The doctor said: "A person riding a motorcycle without a helmet is a potential candidate for organ transplants ... as a donor."

Yikes, that is the stuff nightmares are made of... how could such an operation even have a chance of success until we learn to reconnect nerve endings and spinal chord breaks? That is what they should be concentrating on. imo anyway.

Tonight's meditation, after considering this transplant discussion
and all other world news past, present, and near-term:
"Since 7 B.C., only one divine being has walked upon the soil of our planet."
An unexpected reminder, but mysteriously calming.

Re: The benefits of reading the Urantia Book
“But the times of the reappearing of the Son of Man are known only in the councils of Paradise; not even the angels of heaven know when this will occur. However, you should understand that, when this gospel of the kingdom shall have been proclaimed to all the world for the salvation of all peoples, and when the fullness of the age has come to pass, the Father will send you another dispensational bestowal, or else the Son of Man will return to adjudge the age." http://www.theub.org/part-iv.html#P176_2_5An unexpected reminder, but mysteriously calming.
A quote, not only "calming", but also seeming to emphasize "another dispensational bestowal" and soon!
(at least, relative to "when this gospel of the kingdom shall have been proclaimed to all the world")

Re: The benefits of reading the Urantia Book
"The cart before the horse?"
While reflecting on a short news video about declining Church membership, I began to wonder: Does the institutional church now have "the cart before the horse"? ... since the message of Michael's Urantia bestowal was that religion is, first, a personal experience, and then a group experience. But then the dilemma:
How does one experience religion without the Church? First thought: That is the expected role of all those who've already begun the journey - to share (live the teachings) of the Master. And as these souls really experience the living church, they naturally seek to celebrate and worship as community.

Re: The benefits of reading the Urantia Book
"From the arrival of the Adjuster to comparative full growth, about twenty years of age on Urantia, the Monitors are sometimes designated Thought Changers. From this time to the attainment of the age of discretion, about forty years, the Mystery Monitors are called Thought Adjusters. From the attainment of discretion to deliverance from the flesh, they are often referred to as Thought Controllers." (107:0.7)
On another blog, a reader argued that this paragraph interprets as:
- From the time of the TA arrival to age 20: Thought Changer
- For the next 40 years, from age 20 to age 60: Thought Adjuster
- From age 60 to graduation: Thought Controller
So, having just returned from the grocery store (with Häagen-Daz), I sat down (with Häagen-Daz) and contemplated 107:0.7 and another quote:
"Adjusters reach their human subjects on Urantia, on the average, just prior to the sixth birthday. In the present generation it is running five years, ten months, and four days; that is, on the 2,134th day of terrestrial life." (108:2.1)
Therefore (me thinks) ...
Ages 0 - 6: pre-Adjuster
7 - 20 Thought Changer
21 - 40 Thought Adjuster
41+ Thought Controller
Here's why (IMO) ...
Best grammatical clue to me: "twenty years of age" (if a length of time - not biologic age - this would be expressed as "twenty years" - not "twenty years of age". And "forty years" is likely a common grammatical abbreviation of "forty years of age" (following the previous grammatical pattern set by "twenty years of age").
Also, 60+ years of age would be a few decades past the overall prime of human life where the greatest growth (combined physical, mental, spiritual) would have occurred; the body physical starts declining after 35 years of age:
Re: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ageing
"a period of near perfect renewal (in humans, between 20 and 35 years of age)"
This quote addresses these first two points:
1) "years of age" refers to biologic age - not period of time.
2) indirectly suggests that "perfect renewal" then starts degrading.
3) we're not maturing if the "age of discretion" occurs long after age 40!
So, all this suggests that average humans would have matured sufficiently by age 40 to permit their Thought Adjuster to now take the lead (at least, more often) on this planet 606, just-beginning journey to Paradise ... a perspective from my post-perfect-renewal period ... and with a pre-analysis reward of a half pint of Häagen-Daz Strawberry with 1/4 cup sliced almonds.
OMG! I'm ready to rationalize the other half pint with this PPRP perspective! Not to worry - my Adjuster would communicate that earlier mansonia departure (due to high cholesterol) is relatively unimportant.
Rod ... ... (hiding the keys in case I run out of Häagen-Daz tonight).

Re: The benefits of reading the Urantia Book
Re: Thought Changer/Controller
On the other hand (and after a good nap) ...
"about twenty years of age" and "about forty years" appear intentional:
the first refers to years old and the second to a period of years:
Ages 0 - 6: pre-Adjuster
7 - 20 Thought Changer
21 - 60 Thought Adjuster
61+ Thought Controller
Since the Urantia Book's 107:0.7 paragraph* is discussing the inhabitants (both living and graduated) of our planet 606** as a large statistical group, there's logical wiggle room for the fortyish visionaries to "stop and smell the roses" (begin the journey; start the conscious-decision by decision transition from indwelt Adjuster to indwelt Controller).
* http://www.theub.org/part-iii.html#P107_0_7
I suspect that those who are frequently making such conscious decisions become well-aware of their current "age of discretion" ... if for no other reason than "not my will but your will" (we're aware that we have yielded to the Father's will during a difficult decision).
"What difference does it make?" Adjuster fusion comes next - you might disappear in a chariot of fire during the birthday party, but leaving others to enjoy your true graduation cake.

Re: The benefits of reading the Urantia Book
Sandy,
Since this computer editing is easy for me now (I have the skills, software, and necessary files), I started collecting references in Papers 120-196 for "teach" (what Jesus taught). I've collected 133 so far (now at Paper 170), will create internal UB text links next, then update the WDJT portion of this online page in a few days. This WDJT is quickly becoming a very comprehensive, UB-text-referenced, digital study aid for Jesus' teachings.

WDJT (What did Jesus teach?) could use a few votes (Rate It)
to give visibility and permanence to this version of the acronym.
Search engines are now finding http://www.wdjt.org web page.
The moderator removed the "Religion" sub-category, but this
is better since the UB is not associated with a religion.

the UB is still a bit controversial for some surfers - the moderator

Hi Rod,
I have never managed to keep my web site with a listing in DMOZ. If I manage one, a year or so later its gone.
hugs

Geoff,
I had posted a comment on three different church-sponsored web sites,
and only about Jesus' teachings in the UB; those comments did not survive
moderation. At least, the 10-min. exposure of WDJT was fun!
