Thank you, Welles----You have done it again! Another beautiful reminder of the power of Love... Now I'm hearing the song The Power of Love by Huey Lewis and the news...LOL as well as a sudden desire to watch the movie, Back to the Future. Life is good! :bana:

I rolled in the floor to think that the Vikings were somewhat playful! That is not the image I have of them in my mind. :) But people are people and a smile is worth a thousand words, eh? How great to think that something someone scratched into a piece of wood over 900 years ago can still delight people to this day. Someone up there must be pretty proud of themselves. ;)

I loved that story. In my imagination I could see a youthful Sturluson scratch that message out and pass it on the sly to Grettisdóttir in their beginning Runes class. No doubt legions of archeologists have speculated on the religious implications of that message.

Ahhh but perhaps the message was intercepted by the long suffering Runes teacher? ;) ... and what if the two star crossed lovers came from opposite sides of the Ram's horn? I would so wish to read Grettisdóttir's reply! ( You "gotta" love a good love story. ;) )

Yep, Love is in the Air! ;)
( I'm hearing this song... :) )

Love Is In The Air

by John Paul Young

Love is in the air
Everywhere I look around
Love is in the air
Every sight and every sound
And I don't know if I'm being foolish
Don't know if I'm being wise
But it's something that I must believe in
And it's there when I look in your eyes

Love is in the air
In the whisper of the tree
Love is in the air
In the thunder of the sea
And I don't know if I'm just dreaming
Don't know if I feel safe
But it's something that I Must believe in
And it's there when you call out my name

Love is in the air
Love is in the air

Love is in the air
In the rising of the sun
Love is in the air
When the day is nearly done
And I don't know if you are an illusion
Don't know if I see truth
But you are something that I must believe in
And you are there when I reach out for you

Love is in the air
Everywhere I look around
Love is in the air
Every sight and every sound
And I don't know if I'm being foolish
Don't know if I'm being wise
But it's something that I must believe in
And it's there when I look in your eyes

Love is in the air
Love is in the air

Love is in the air
Love is in the air

Love Is In The Air
Sung to the tune of Love Is In The Air !!!

Ok all witticisms aside (for a miniute) I ran across two great Love quotes in the last few hours. One was today's "A Thought to Ponder From The Urantia Book", the daily email thought that the Urantia Foundation sends. It was from Jesus.

"Devote your life to proving that love is the greatest thing in the world." Jesus, (2047.5) 192:2.1

The other was a quote from Will Durant, undoubtedly the greatest historian/philosopher in the last few hundred years. He said,

"Love one another. My final lesson of history is the same as that of Jesus. You may think that's a lot of lollipop but just try it. Love is the most practical thing in the world. If you take an attitude of love toward everybody you meet, you'll eventually get along." Will Durant
