Hi Rod,
I hope your friend is managing okay after the passing of her husband. The story gave me a smile today and also one of George's memories.
The very first time he showed up at Geoff's place, they were both inside and the doorbell rang. Geoff looked at George and said, that's impossible. It's not hooked up!
