I thought I'd share this idea with those brothers and sisters reading:
In simple terms the phrase 'second mile' refers to a believer that is prepared to go to further generous steps to help somebody out. A new term came to me tonight which is the idea of the 'third mile', which is when someone is prepared to lay down their life for the benefit of our troubled world, or another version might be to experience 'full reputational destruction' in order to aid the God within. Let me know what you think of this? This is obviously what Jesus (and others) did, and also is there anyone among us that feels they could do this as well if truly called to?
Regards, Dylan.

Re: The "Third Mile"
"Lay down one's life" does not necessarily mean immediate departure from the planet.when someone is prepared to lay down their life for the benefit of our troubled world
It can also mean dedication to worthy causes without appreciation or even feedback,
where continuing opportunities for service become the nurturing reward.
the life of preparation for eternal service in the universe.

Re: The "Third Mile"
100% Rod. I think we can refer to this as the "third mile" as well, and it probably pre-ordains our exact moment of departure.
