Thought Adjuster: “It is said that the first step toward solving a problem is to identify it—to become aware that there is a problem in the first place. Many consider entertaining themselves with useless activities to be one of the pleasures of modern society. However, pleasure is temporary and produces no real benefit in life. So, can it really be said that time spent this way serves any purpose?

The true enjoyment that many people, distracted by the countless options of the present day, never really come to know is that which promotes the highest states of the human soul. These are moments when you feel happy and fulfilled simply because you are alive, without anything outside yourself required for your happiness. Being able to look at yourself where you are and not wish to be anywhere else, because what you are and where you are is more than enough, is exactly what you need to fulfill your mission in life.

The consumerist attitude of the majority has gradually crept into every area of life. Many even consider love to be something they must obtain in order to be satisfied. Their relationships with others and with their partners lack depth and communication because both parties approach one another to receive what they believe they are missing, and once they have obtained it, they seek nothing beyond it. They have turned love into yet another empty pleasure, depriving themselves of the great blessing represented by a close relationship with others based on unconditional love.

The basic point is this: whatever you do, try to do it while considering the highest ideals that already exist within you. What you receive in life is irrelevant when compared with what you offer to your fellow human beings. Yes, it is better to give than to receive, because the one who receives may not recognize the gifts they are receiving, but the one who gives wholeheartedly and without expecting anything in return—simply out of the desire to express the best within themselves and thereby better understand God—knows firsthand the quality and magnitude of what they offer.

No one will know the Father better than the one who tries to live and act as He does. The Father is the being who has given the most in creation, even giving Himself to all His creatures. That is why He is the happiest and most fulfilled being, for He has explored and experienced the highest levels of love and goodness, which are the hallmark of divinity. Would you dare to explore your own divinity in this way? Only then will you experience an ever-growing closeness to God and an increasingly clear understanding of His nature and character. What earthly pleasure could be greater, or more filled with eternal satisfaction for your soul?”
