Friday Zoom Meetings

I just read Paper 120 and what can I say? The Urantia Book makes the story regarding the descension of a Divine Being relatable and intriguing! It is a very heart expanding experience just to read the papers and think about what is taking place.

I can't believe my interest has become more engaged with the Urantia Book, but here I am. I am excited for Paper 15 and the discussions that follow!

I’m glad you have taken an interest in the UB. It goes to show that there is something in it for everyone. I am unsure these days about how to proceed with the meetings or if we should keep going with them at all. I guess I’m in a state of flux lately. So I think it’s time for a pause. Perhaps we can pick it up again in the future if there’s genuine interest. For now, I have to focus on my health. My body, mind, and soul are in need of some healing.

If you have any questions about the papers you can always post them on the board and I’m sure someone will answer them. I would recommend focusing on the Jesus papers going forward. I think that’s where you will find the most value.

Thank you, Jon, for inspiring an interest in investigating the Urantia book for those reading this thread. I'm sorry I haven't been able to participate but I love and respect you and so appreciate your wisdom on this topic as well as that of living a life as a child of God.
All of you, Rod, Eric, Oscar...inspire with your knowledge, your kindness, and your enthusiasm that help keep me looking inward and upward.
Take a break, but please don't make it permanent. If you all resume in the future, I will try to rearrange our schedule here, and attend. hmmm selfishly, though, a break might give me a chance to catch up with all of you. It seems I don't comprehend as quickly as I once did. But it's all good.

I send you all love and appreciate everything you guys give of yourself for those of us far away, and those in your immediate sphere of influence. You guys are my heroes.

Thanks, Sandy. You are dear to my heart and a true hero in my books as well. Perhaps i can help you catch up. I was thinking of making some posts to recap everything we’ve studied so far. I don’t want to come to a complete stop, but I do need to slow down a bit. So hopefully we can have some interesting chats on the forum and reach a broader audience.

Hello Everyone!!!

Jon, thanks for every session and every thought shared. Like we stated in those meetings, it's just beyond our understanding, yet? I'm grateful for being able to share that little time with you both. Eric gives it all, on a great effort to grasp most of it. This struggle becomes later the fruits that can be "collected".

Take your time. As much as you think you need and even more. The Light within will always be your Guide. Even if we don't schedule sessions for the UB, this is still a safe place that you can come and go as you need. Remember it. We will always be here and beyond.

Eric, you're a great human being. It's was great to share that little time/space with you both. From here on, you'll never cease to be amazed, and even more. I'm not saying goodbye, for now just to our sessions, but I'll be here answering any question that I'm able to.

My dear Sandy. I must say I'm happy that you are taking care of yourself and your family. To do so, brings oneself peace of mind. Even if we don't coincide in this life, we eventually will. Don't be sorry, perhaps it wasn't just the time. When time is right, that feeling of being summoned to do things that comes from within, it is very hard to ignore.

Rod, I know you're there! Hugs and love brother! Lots of things to be said to such a knowledgeable man, but most are not with words.

I'm always here, and always will be. Take care brothers and sisters.

Wow, thank you Oscar. I feel the same way about you and everyone else you've mentioned- and including those not mentioned who lurk on the forum boards.

You are a great human being! What an honor.

I didn't interpret Jon as stopping, and like you Oscar I do not believe this is goodbye.

But I want to thank Jon as well for such exciting Friday nights with beautiful slides. I really loved a lot of the pictures. And I thank you for sharing an interest with me in alien worlds and ideas of life beyond.

Oscar you missed it, Carla joined us last Friday and she was asking me last night if there would be another!

Jon, I don't know if you're feeling similar but yesterday my energy output was shot. I usually start my chores in the morning, I did not actually get out of bed until 1PM

I have a lot going on, outside of our zoom group meeting, and realized my energies were being tried to a greater capacity. The rest was very helpful, so I hope the same for you.

I just want to say, there's no need to worry about how you will appear to others when it comes to our little chit chats~ whether you will be in good spirits or not. I am sure we would appreciate your company regardless.
Of course, we respect your decision- to join or not. You know what best suits you. And I respect how you are feeling, so I will not further encourage one way or another.

I hope you have a happy Easter and are feeling in good spirits as you celebrate. I have been reading the papers and really enjoyed one of the parables disclosed at Mt. Olivet!
Probably my favorite so far, I have been trying to read the papers according to the day. Tuesday for Tuesday, Wednesday for Wednesday. Now it's Thursday and I think I may be skipping ahead a few days so I understand full well why my family and I celebrate(aside from strengthening our family bond).

@Sandy, I was going to PM you but I have been thinking to keep things public so others may join if they choose. Whether Jon changes his mind or Oscar decides to tune in. Maybe Rod will come- who knows But I do look forward to seeing you Sandy, and I've been given permission to use Casey's meditation room...

I'm in the Eastern Standard Time zone, so you are an hour ahead of me. It is getting tricky at that time. Mom is a bit unpredictable the time she gets up, so we may get into her get-up time...but we can try it. 11:00 am Central Time. That will be 12:00 am Eastern Standard Time.. Hopefully, my Mom will be up and settled at that time, allowing me some chat time.

Thank you Sandy and Oscar for joining me today. Sandy, you lit my heart by simply being present. And Oscar, I saw radiant light around you from the very beginning.

Both of you helped nourish my Heart. I am deep in the UB today, listening to the accusers lash out at Jesus in the Sanhedrin Court. It is very sad.

At 4:14, I cried- it was right at that moment when Peter had denounced knowing Jesus... And the UB described the look Jesus gave to Peter afterwards.

While I may have made a slight about the apostles in our zoom call, please know I think they are great men to have been chosen by God. I realize I may be no better in the face of incredible pressures, societal traditions and at same time- enamored by the presence of God as a fully realized Master.

I have to take a break from the heaviness of these few chapters- but I know as well the book says that Jesus appeared to Peter in the resurrection, and so I am again reminded that God picked these men for good reasons and their spiritual careers continue to bear fruit.

Today is a sad day, but one Jesus understood as necessary.

You just put into words what my heart is feeling. As heartbroken as we feel in this moment, I can't imagine what the apostles must have felt...imagine John, who was allowed by law to be with Jesus, watching them strike, belittle, and kill his loving Master, who was as innocent as the spring lambs..
Think of the hosts of heaven who knew Jesus as Michael, their beloved Sovereign, leader of Nebaddon, watching in horror.
In the grand universe, our Earth, Urantia, is known as the world of the cross.
Perhaps we will learn to love by following Jesus's example, and someday, instead of the world of the cross, we will be will known as the "The World of Love".
We have a long way to go.

Light ? What light? Perhaps a filter of my laptop. No, I'm kidding. There is light in everyone, and you being able to see it when it shines more at some point, it's kind of cool. I can't see it, but I do know it is there, because I've been told about it before.

It is different isn't it? When you were telling us about the Vikings series, you did show certain discomfort. Violence, is no longer a thing you can tolerate to see. And yet, you just read about Him being "betrayed", and felt it within. A sadness, a sorrow, that only tears could pour out to express it. I used to carry a cross with our Master in it. Remember when I said: "Either you tell me or show me the truth, or I'm going to live as is, like human ghost!", the image in the little wooden cross, just fell of it.

I remember saying, "what the .... ". Before I found the UB, and this great forum, I glued it back to the wooden cross. After I dived in a spiritual journey, after a few bumps, it just seemed right to take it off again.

I get you. Take your time, because is not a silly thing. It wasn't just another dead human back then on the cross. According to the UB (187:3.1), "...Throughout these dreadful hours the unseen hosts of a universe stood in silence while they gazed upon this extraordinary phenomenon of the Creator as he was dying the death of the creature, even the most ignoble death of a condemned criminal." Everyone witnessed such events, and I believe to some point, it wasn't like another walk in the park.

What I think we should consider, it is that, even today, if that "death penalty" would be used, the dead would stay dead. There isn't a shred of doubt, that He did die. When He resurrected on the third day, our Master showed us that death is not the end, even if it is a horrible death, it is only the beginning.

About the apostles, I can't say for sure if He handpicked these men and women for a reason or several good reasons. But I can tell you this: These were the most human beings as a human beings can be. They made mistakes and probably lots of them, but that is what makes us human. It was another epoch, another sets of beliefs, and another way of life. I believe this is why they were chosen, not to tall into their egos, but not too hurt, for the Spirit of Truth to show the way.

They weren't special because of this or that, not even because they got to following Him around in His public life, because they didn't get His message during his "lifetime". They got it right, after the resurrection, and after the Spirit of Truth dawned upon them. But that's another laaaaarge discussion we could go on about. They were special because they saw something in our Master's teaching and decided to follow the Light when Jesus told them to follow Him, even if they never understood.

Oh man! This keyboard is chatty today! Ok, I think I'll leave it like this, for now.

Thank you Sandy, I hope your dog didn't do some forbidden break dance moves for you to take her outside. I hope we can do this again! It was great!
