Attempting
I bought one CD some years ago. I started to play it but got turned off for some reason and put it away. Now I just listened through and re-listened to the first part (relaxation). I don't know if I will continue with this. I think I don't dissociate or hypnotize easily so might not be able to make use of this kind of technique. I also have difficulty with the visualization. I like the idea but get frustrated when cannot perceive progress. I am sorry that I did not try more when George was around.

Re: Attempting
Hello Cel and welcome.
It sounds as if you may be looking for some advice in the use of the CD. I am not George, obviously, but I am his wife and used the cd many years ago to help me begin a journey of speaking with our celestial friends.
The Akashic construct cd is just one tool out there in a vast array of spiritual tools and guidance. It works for some, others not so good. Everyone is the same or reacts the same, and that is okay.
On the chance that you are searching for a little advice, I will share some things I have seen and experienced in observing others and also within myself.
Sometimes the reason the ACcd or other methods promoting stillness don't work can relate to inner resistance. This can be fear, impatience, self-sabotage, lack of a clear intention...etc...
I am not saying this applies to you... just saying this in general. For instance, I have been having trouble getting quiet within and was practicing avoidance. When I finally faced the blocks within, some things surprised me as I hadn't a clue they were there.
We may find we have little faith in our own ability, or perhaps have negative self-talk, or have had a previous disappointment of some kind.
We may be harboring anger or a lack of forgiveness for self and others... So sometimes before any meditation or ritual, it is a good idea to relax and journal, asking for help from our God within, our angels, and Guides to bring forward anything that might interfere with the connection to the Celestial realm.
Journalling is helpful in bringing such things to the fore.
George always suggested that the best way to maximize the ACcd was to do one part at a time in order for one week before moving on to the next part. (Everyone cheats and moves from the first part to the second part early LOL) However, the relaxation exercise, the second part, has a purpose and it is important to do it at the very least for one week or more. Firstly, it is designed to help with the subconscious self-talk to help instill the inner belief that we can do this, we can have relationships with amazing celestial friends. It doesn't do the work, however. No mediation program can do that for us. We have to provide the consistency and the inner belief that we can do this and it is our divine right as co-creative children of the Source of all. Building your spiritual muscles is very much like building your physical muscles. It takes time as we begin to learn the lessons that build on even greater understanding.
Secondly, the CD and the second relaxation exercise are designed to help you to feel and learn to recognize when your brain is functioning in Alpha where communication is possible. You learn this via repetition. I have to say, from my own experience, some days are better than others so it is nice to have in my "spiritual tool belt" many days of experience that I can draw from to lift myself out of the disappointment of a less than helpful meditation experience.
All of us at some point have probably felt as you do. But please do not give up on meditation/Stillness. If you give this a fair go and it doesn't work then keep searching for what does.
xxSandy

Re: Attempting
I wanted to share a simple technique for practicing visualization.
Begin by picking out a simple object. Really look at it, noticing its shape, color, any cracks or smudges, etc.. Do this for a minute or so.
Then close your eyes and try to bring the object into your inner vision.
This can also be done with colored sheets of paper too.
Pick a colored paper. Look at it for a minute, really focusing on the color. Then close your eyes and try to visualize the color. I used to do something similar when I was a kid and couldn't sleep. Instead of sheep I would start envisaging one color and watch as slowly it formed in my inner vision.
Well, if anyone has any suggestions I would welcome them. We all need help visualizing from time to time.

Re: Attempting
Good morning
Cel, this is your first post on the forum- a hearty welcome! Happy to have you
Sandy, I am glad you were the first person to reply to this post. Thank you for such great advice, I really like your second post helping with the visualization exercise.
It is hard to visualize, or to think we need to see things in our mind, behind closed eyes as they would appear when our eyes are opened. Especially when you consider just how active the imagination is, it's that much harder to hold a still image in our mind before we add extra thoughts/forms/shapes and are somewhere else completely.
I love, Cel, that you say you are attempting. That's really all that matters. Have Faith you will be met more than half way and be open to the unique ways in which the Universe responds to your efforts. I really like Sandy's visualization exercise, and for me I might suggest time in stillness without anything extra. Just sit still for 5 to 10 minutes focusing on your breath and being, "open"
Can you visualize the feeling of being open?
That's the interesting thing with visualization, we don't necessarily have to recreate colors and physical objects in our mind- we can also "visualize" or create "sensation." Try concentrating on the sensation of your breath flowing in and through you, leaving you and the feeling of your body and mind being open. What does that feel like? When your mind wishes to interject with additional data, you don't have to resist- you can welcome the thoughts and after compassionate self inquiry you can remind those thoughts/yourself of the practice in which you are engaged. You can let thoughts go and go back to focusing on the sensations. With this exercise you are strengthening your ability to concentrate and be mindful.
Three keys... Sincerity, Awareness and Concentration
Food for thought! Best of luck with your journey... Looking forward to reading your future discoveries!!

Re: Attempting

and can communicate their guidance, often to our subconscious, for later discovery. This AI response mentions
the first hour or two upon awakening (after restful sleep) is typical alpha transition (good time for journaling):
(Perplexity) "Alpha brainwave dominance is not specifically tied to certain times of the day,
but rather to particular mental states and activities. Alpha waves are most prominent
during periods of wakeful relaxation and mental calmness.
They typically occur when a person is:
- Daydreaming
- Meditating
- Resting after an activity
- Practicing mindfulness
- In a state of relaxed wakefulness, especially with eyes closed
Alpha waves are also observed during the transitional phase between wakefulness and sleep, particularly in Stage 1
of non-rapid eye movement (NREM) sleep. However, as sleep progresses, alpha wave activity decreases
and is replaced by slower brainwaves.
It's important to note that alpha waves can occur at any time of day when the brain is in a relaxed,
reflective state, regardless of physical activity. They're associated with calm, peaceful, and stress-free mood.
Alpha waves are less likely to be dominant during periods of high cognitive demand or focused attention,
as these states are more commonly associated with beta brainwaves."
"Alpha also occurs during the first hours of gradual awakening. As an individual transitions from sleep
to wakefulness ... The alpha state during awakening can be a particularly productive and creative period,
allowing for free-flowing ideas about yesterday's events or contemplation of upcoming day's activities."

Frustrated mom to kids:
"Get off your alpha, get out of bed
and get ready for school

Notice how it avoids a certain 3-letter word.

(Perplexity) "Brainwave Wordplay
That's a clever linguistic twist! The joke works on multiple levels:
Linguistic Humor
- Substituting "alpha" for "lazy" or "behind".
- Playfully incorporating a neuroscience term into parental frustration.
Scientific Subtext
- Alpha waves are associated with relaxed, drowsy states.
- Perfectly describes someone lingering in bed, not wanting to get up.
- Captures the exact neurological state of a teenager reluctant to start the day.
Potential Variations
- "Stop alpha-ing around and get moving!"
- "Your delta is dragging, time to beta move!"
Neuroscience Dad Joke Potential
- Demonstrates how technical terms can become comedic when used conversationally.
- Shows how understanding brainwave states can add humor to everyday interactions.
The joke brilliantly merges scientific terminology with universal parental experience -
getting kids out of bed in the morning. It's technically accurate and universally relatable!

Re: Attempting
i have used even house tracks to get into a 'state'
It's not the external signal (guided meditation)etc, but your intent to use them as a trigger.
The mind knows what you know, and when you know that this audio recording will alter your brainwaves, then the magic happens..
This is why teqniques do not work for everyone..
No matter how hard you try,if you know allready that an external input is not going to trigger internal reaction, nothing will work for you.

Re: Attempting
Hey everybody! Nice post you got here.
Cel, yes, there is a bunch of things you can try. Everyone's different. Feel free to try them all. Here are other thoughts:
1. Relax. When I was little, we used to have medical appointments and we had to wait in line about 4 to 8 hours, doing nothing. At some point we start just staring at cars with my brother. Not enough to every tiny detail, they were just passing by and we will letting them go. When trying to relax, lots of thoughts will get into mind, let them pass through, just by observing, they exist and letting go.
2. Intention, or no intention? You can either have intention, or not intention at all. Part of having a goal comes with the stress of not achieving that goal. If you do have an intention when going into meditation or visualisation, stick with it. But for me, it help just being there, about not anything, then things just started happening. If you can imagine/visualise a green Giraffe with blue spots, with or without closing your eyes, your ok to do anything.
3. Results? Don't strive to achieve results like right now, although everything will come into place when progress is made. A house of cards can be visualised in the mind, but will not be built if you don't lay out the first three cards, then a base, then the next floor and so on. Yes, eventually you will want to get better, but at first don't fret about no progress/results at all because this might block you from anything.
4. Blockages: Everybody is doing it, why can't I? This is your own progress. We could spoon feed your food, but in the end, you, with mouth and throat have to deliver to actually feed yourself. Each process is amazing, because we are unique.
5. How much more time is it ? To actually put a tag of time on progress is actually a blockage you can get instead of a goal. Even if it takes you several weeks or months on the first steps, we can actually say, it's worth it. It never is about the results, as a goal, but for you to lay the foundation on the progress, because with this along you can start anything, and it will get done. When you enjoy the process, you will not notice how much time has passed! And then results will come.
So, enjoy the process!
Regards,
