Forgot, Envision, Imagined

What if
you and I,
our friends and family,
even for only a moment or two...

Forgot,
we are old,
that the world is heaving with discord...,
our neighbors at war,
we, with ourselves.

Envision,
ourselves atop a waterfall,
falling into the foam,
swimming the ocean,
embracing life.

Imagined,
piano, violins, flutes, raindrops, sun rays,
rose to dance, mingling with the music,
between the trees, fragrant blossoms,
hearts brimful.

For just a moment or two,
forgot, envision, and imagined?
It is not beyond our abilities
...to believe we are loved.
