Re: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... iewed.html
"examiner who testified that Chauvin did not kill Floyd will have 17 years worth of his in-custody death reports independently reviewed"

"Dr. David Fowler testified that the primary cause of Floyd's death was a sudden heart rhythm disturbance during police restraint due to underlying heart disease, contradicting several experts who said Floyd died due to a lack of oxygen. He also said that Floyd´s drug use and exposure to carbon monoxide from the police car contributed to his death."

See also (autopsy report did not attribute asphyxiation): https://news.wttw.com/2021/04/10/heart- ... se-medical

"Baker said he 'conveyed' to county prosecutors soon after the autopsy the 'lack of anatomical findings' that would support the conclusion Floyd died of asphyxiation. After seeing the video, Baker said, in his opinion, the placement of Chauvin's knee would not cut off Floyd's airway."

 While "all of the above" may be the real cause of death, "lack of oxygen" was the prosecution focus and helped justify the jury's conviction. Although the prosecution argued that Floyd's fentanyl was not sufficient to cause death, fentanyl is known to slow rate and depth of breathing.
And this would intensify the effect of a neck restraint! Interestingly, that 17 years of medical examination experience is now questioned
seems to forecast a predictable "independent review".

Re: https://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-24371140
"Can a drug make you tell the truth?"

"Well my conclusion after trying it out and speaking to experts is that it will certainly make you more inclined to talk, but that when you are under the influence you are also in an extremely suggestible state. The reason you become more suggestible is probably because the drug is interfering with your higher centres, like your cortex, where a lot of decision making goes on. There is a serious risk you will say what your interrogator wants to hear rather than the truth. :o

The truth is we don't have a reliable truth drug yet."

Note: Too many decades ago, before my tonsillectomy in the morning, I was given this (or a similar drug) to sleep well that night.
I later recalled babbling on and on to my hospital roommate who was obviously annoyed. Being a young man (early 20s) of few words
most of the time, I was surprised by this babble! However, this journalist's experience informs that I probably shared no dark secrets
... especially if my roommate had zero interest in the chatter!

"(U.S.) Tennessee CEO gets fired after picking on teen boy for wearing dress to his prom"

"The boy ... (said) he wore the dress as a statement to prove that 'clothing is really gender-less' "

 Technically, "cloth" is gender-less (or male as in "loincloth") ...
"clothing" is cloth sewn to fit a female or male body (usually not both). ;)
And a "dress" has for centuries conformed to the female shape,
but padding is available (even for these two sexes).

 ... which presents a modern era conundrum:
"The boy makes the dress." or "The dress makes the boy." :?:

"Crocs sales are soaring."

:bana: I got my faded red Crocs (long before they were popular) from my mother-in-law's garage sale! They're good for washing the car, but I was uncertain about what to wear with them (they were called "shower shoes" but I chose shorts). And a new coat of red paint would make them a good accessory for a red prom dress - even for a bridesmaid at a gay wedding.

probably get assigned to a Watch List. Persons of the opposite sex (or not) might get assigned

"The only unreal element is that those engines would be loud! The noise from the exposed jet engines

 A concept probably needing more work ... since it separates the propulsion (jet engines)

Re: "Permitless carrying of handguns"

 These current movements suggest a society moving backwards since such weapons are perceived
as needed for self-defense and a permit is evidence that the owner has been trained how/when
to use the weapon and what happens legally when the weapon is used in each circumstance.

On the other hand (without the gun), guns are registered when purchased, so "the system" knows!
Also, bullets retain evidence of the specific gun from which fired. 8)

 Use your cellphone or make a credit card purchase soon after using your gun
and "the system" will quickly associate you with the bullet(s) left there. ;)

it's a Paradise Pyramid, a symbolic gambler's PP

“Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Heads” maintains the acronym! 8)

"Poland rejects inclusion of third gender in new EU identity cards"

 This continuing controversy presents a conundrum:

What will a mortuary report about an unidentified body?
How will it determine the body's preferred gender?
Of what significance is physical appearance?

:duh When physical appearance is not the desired appearance
for the preferred gender, brain function may be the disconnect
... since current physical appearance seems correctly "wired"
(gender-related parts still function). This suggests that
some other part of the brain is the disconnect. :o

 Maybe "gender identity" is a brain perception
and other identity exists for physical appearance.
Perhaps, the controversy resolves with new terms
... such as Facebook's current 58 genders:
https://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/ ... book-users

:hithere Why not 7 genders, each with 7 sub-types?
Male, Female, Male in Female body, Female in Male body,
