"Pot is now used by Mom and Dad. And Grandma's rubbing it on her elbows"

"And if I work hard all day and want to go home, smoke a joint and stare at my fireplace for three hours, that's my civil liberty."

 An entertaining perspective from a travel authority, but it's best to wait for pot's promotion as health food
since inhaling plant smoke is not good for lungs. And intriguing concept, this "civil liberty", since many activities
could be rationalized ... like mowing the yard nude (sun rays encourage skin to produce Vitamin D).

"The history behind a (U.S.) Fourth of July staple, the hot dog"

 No one knows that July 4th is the traditional end-of-era for old mustard
(all the old is used up before new is opened) since party guests are too
occupied with conversation, music, alcohol, and fireworks to notice.

Besides, does mustard really have an expiration date?! :?

Re: https://week.com/2021/07/03/some-chines ... sire-life/
"Some Chinese shun grueling careers for ‘low-desire life’ " :o

"small but visible handful of urban Chinese are rattling the ruling Communist Party by choosing to 'lie flat,' or reject high-status careers,
long work hours and expensive cities for a low-desire life ... clashes with party ambitions to make China a wealthier consumer society."

 Actually, the desire is for more life (and less career stress) with unnecessary consumerism, consumerism often influenced by 24-7
in-your-face advertising wherever possible. Apparently, this CRT (Consumer Rat Training) began with television, becoming so successful
that we now easily tolerate super repetition of advertising even within a 30-minute TV program! And worse with late-night television
as well as 24-7 online content.

Guess who moved your cheese! ... and to which new rat traps! ;)

:study: This whimsical CRT is not related to the U.S. Critical Race Theory
that is gaining momentum as new enlightenment with similar training. :o

Re: https://www.edweek.org/leadership/what- ... ck/2021/05

"Critical race theory (CRT) is an academic concept that is more than 40 years old. The core idea is that race is a social construct,
and that racism is not merely the product of individual bias or prejudice, but also something embedded in legal systems and policies."

"Critics charge that the theory leads to negative dynamics, such as a focus on group identity over universal, shared traits;
divides people into 'oppressed' and 'oppressor groups; and urges intolerance." :(

contests in alligator swamps or shark-infested ocean surf
(where spectators remain the best-bet survivors ...
even when bumping in safe water).

"motorcyclist is shot dead during road rage incident on Texas highway
after HE pulled a gun on driver who cut him off" :o

 Instant karma to be expected in September when Texas becomes yet another state
to legalize "concealed carry" (pointing a gun at another person is assumed death threat
... with probable reaction by the pointee, police, or any nearby gunslinger).

"Joey Chestnut wins 14th Nathan's Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest ...
devouring a new record 76 franks in 10 minutes to keep his mantle atop the sport."

 Intriguing new culinary math ...
consuming one hot dog every 8 seconds is still called "eating" ...
but 10 minutes seems typical meal time for fast food.

"announcements of upcoming fireworks shows at Disneyland formerly began with,
'Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, dreamers of all ages.' "

”The new announcement begins, 'Good evening, dreamers of all ages.' "

 Apparently, non-dreamers are still welcome to the shows ...
but this perpetuates the left-brain vs right-brain perspective (a myth):
https://www.britannica.com/story/are-th ... ned-people

 Next year's sensitivity refinement of this welcome
may be: "Good evening, if that's your hope."

:duh Speaking of fireworks ...

Re: https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.ph ... ack-people
"4th of July Fireworks Are Racist Because Smoke Disproportionately Affects Black People"

 Exaggeration since the same might be alleged of barbecues on this holiday weekend.
And barbecue smoke stays closer to the ground than smoke of spectacular fireworks.

The still increasing attacks on all symbols of national importance suggest that
the U.S. will soon subdivide into independent states ... at least long enough
to be invaded by China or Russia (neither exemplary of racial integration) :!:

Both Hawaii and Alaska come to mind as easy "first captures" ...
or at least sufficient distraction from a Taiwan invasion.

 This increasing discord hints that the media is implicit,
probably with foreign influence, support, and guidance;
a type of discord that helps prepare for invasion(s). ;)

"mRNA Vaccine Inventor Erased From History Books"

 This headline is sufficient reading to comprehend that a new profession will arise
to help us know the real truth from the currently authorized truth, the historical past
from the rewritten past. But AI may then provide counterpoint to the real truth. ;)

:hithere Not to worry - a vaccine will be available to help us know the truth.

"Crime is basically legal in San Francisco"

 Actually, "legal crime" occurs when shoplifters don't have to run away
(but masks are still advised for the coronavirus and its variants).

Not to worry - shoplifting losses are passed on to other customers
via increased insurance costs + higher prices, aka "runaway inflation". ;)

if Marxism is increasing influence on the racial equality struggle. ;)

:study: Re: https://www.foxnews.com/food-drink/plan ... -real-meat

"Researchers at Duke University compared 36 food samples -- 18 of widely known plant-based meat alternatives
to 18 grass-fed ground beef options from a ranch in Idaho. For each sample, they measured number of metabolites,
small molecules that make up the nutrients in foods."

 Actually, faux meat's goal has been to appeal like real meat - not be nutritionally identical. This may be why
"plant-based meat tends to sell better next to real meat." This might explain why faux meat is priced so high:
a lower price would suggest that the lab-creation is not as good as real meat.

"Gay Men's Choir faces backlash for 'we're coming for your children' video"

 Mostly negative public response to this "ironic humor", with its uplifting message either ignored
or considered more threatening than uplifting, hinting that this myth has not declined "substantially":

"bikes differ in ways that tend to suit each sex's body type ...
women usually have shorter torsos and longer legs ...

"young boy pulling up an American flag from a lawn and throwing it to the ground as woman looks on and does nothing"

 Seems encouraging for such a youngster to have opinions about national symbolism ...
however, being taught to destroy private property forecasts a troubling future society.
But this kind of act also hints of familial adult guidance ... with planned video! ;)

This is not a future trend, according to current news :!:

so, don't call police about private property. ;)

"Getting married to robots ‘will be considered normal by end of century’ "

 Even before the gender identity controversy of "man" in "woman" is resolved, "marriage is between a man and a woman" will be tested on a different level. This just suggests that "marriage" will be redefined continually, but the greater controversy begins when a robot has the anatomy to conceive a child. A boy? girl? hybrid? or what :?:

See also: https://www.sciencefriday.com/segments/ ... ord-robot/

The 1920 hit play, "Rossum’s Universal Robots", "tells the story of a company using the latest biology,
chemistry and physiology to mass produce workers who 'lack nothing but a soul.' "

8) This might guide societal evaluation of its new robot workers, citizens, and lovers.
IMO, AI will never be able to detect presence of soul, but will make this claim!
This suggests that earth humans need to comprehend "soul" in order to evaluate
space aliens: advanced AI? from space? from earth? true "soul brothers"? :?
