 Excessive reduction of infection fighting T-cells would not be so splendid
... and reduction of foods requiring sweetening may be more promising. ;)

is the real key to youth and health. ;)

 "Pantry porn!"?! Logically, the more stuff in a pantry, the more cleanliness and organization required

Re: https://www.dw.com/en/15-minute-cities- ... a-64907776
"15-minute cities: What are they and how do they work?"

"As recently as a two decades ago, more people lived in the countryside than in urban areas. But that has since changed.
Around 56% of the global population are now at home in cities, and the number continues to rise ... In 2016, Shanghai
announced plans to introduce what it calls '15-minute community life circles,' a plan that would ensure all day-to-day
activities are within 15-minutes walking distance."

 This 15-minute-city concept seems best as goal - not mandate (residents choose if activities offered
are those they desire and if they choose to walk to every activity). Considering the many different
activities in a person's daily life, they could still do a lot of daily walking! ... else the activities
would require a lot duplication to maintain the 15-minute distance to a residence. However,
widely available mass transportation could help solve the walking challenge.

:sunflower: "Simple City" (living with simplicity) is a more doable concept and not so restrictive.
Of course, those who prefer lifestyle complexity would still have this opportunity.

"As more Americans over 65 and those with disabilities choose these lower premium plans,
Medicare Advantage has become increasingly profitable for insurers, and they’re using
AI death panels to deny care, potentially hastening demise of nation’s sickest patients." :o

 Apparently, the hidden gotcha of a lower premium plan (AI will begin deciding
if an out-of-plan treatment is appropriate, considering one's age, disability, etc.).
And with increasing public support of AI, this will become acceptable in a society.
Apparently, it's wise to stay healthier longer to avoid this AI Reaper. ;)

"(U.S.) Fruits and vegetables with the most and least pesticides"

"More than 90 percent of samples of strawberries, apples, cherries, spinach, nectarines and grapes had at least two pesticides on them ...
Over 50 pesticides were detected on every kind of crop on the dirty dozen list, apart from cherries." :o

:study: See also: https://portal.ct.gov/CAES/Fact-Sheets/ ... om-Produce
"Removal of Trace Pesticide Residues from Produce"

"The majority of pesticide residue appears to reside on the surface of produce where it is removed by the mechanical action of rinsing ... There is little or no difference between tap water rinsing or using a fruit and vegetable wash in reducing residues of the nine pesticides studied ... (however), the removal of waxes and/or dirt from the produce was not examined as part of this study."

"The mechanical action of rubbing the produce under tap water is likely responsible for removing pesticide residues. Mild detergents or fruit and vegetable washes do not enhance the removal of pesticide residues from produce above that of rinsing with tap water alone."

 "Rubbing" is typical action when a detergent is used for any cleaning,
so Rub 'n Rinse your veggies, especially if peel/skin will be consumed ...
or buy organic (but still wash to be certain). ;)

NY Times columnist and author, Thomas Friedman about ChatGPT-4

 "Mankind’s greatest invention to date" is timely for the alleged depopulation agenda(s)!
A DePop AI could decide who should live and who should take the next Yellow Brick Road exit.
Also, DePop might be persuaded to discourse on why humans are needed on 606 of Satania,
discourse that should reveal the real soul of AI. :finger:

:study: Re: https://www.theoi.com/Titan/TitanPrometheus.html

"Zeus, in his anger, and seeing through the stratagem of Prometheus, chose the heap of bones covered with the fat.
The father of the gods avenged himself by withholding fire from mortals, but Prometheus stole it in a hollow tube.
Zeus now, in order to punish men, caused Hephaestus to mould a virgin, Pandora, of earth, whom Athena adorned
with all the charms calculated to entice mortals"

 This much earlier description of Prometheus, "Titan god of forethought and crafty counsel", is far removed
from more modern interpretation (re: a "Promethean Moment"), but "calculated to entice mortals" is applicable
to our present AI Moment. Who can tell? A Pantheon of AI gods may soon emerge, each associated with forethought,
afterthought, and whatever betwixt and between. Then, mere mortals might prefer a personal hierarchy of AI gods
for enlightenment on all subjects of interest. 8)

Re: https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4140297/posts

"Contrary to popular belief, it’s not the gas coming out the back end of a cow
that’s a problem for the planet. Most of a bovine’s methane is belched." :o

"Gates Foundation awarded a $4.8 million grant this month to London-based Zelp,
a company developing a face mask for cattle designed to capture the methane
produced by animal burps and turn it into carbon dioxide."

:study: See also: https://soilsolution.org/2017/07/rumina ... e-animals/

"Ruminants have always emitted methane; it is not something new. Huge herds of wild buffalo, cattle, goats, sheep, deer, cameloids and wildebeest have grazed the grasslands of the world for millions of years. The American prairies once supported greater numbers of bison than they now do cattle, despite the intensive corn and soy production that feeds them.

Methane emissions from wild ruminants was never a problem because nature does not permit waste — the methane was used as food for methanotrophic bacteria in the soil and neutralised. It was never a problem until agricultural practices started destroying these methanotrophic bacteria, which are very sensitive to chemical fertilisers and herbicides."

 Therefore, reducing cows' belched methane will not likely reduce total ruminant emissions significantly. And this study's goal may actually be to reduce cow meat by associating more methane emissions with cows. "Not a problem!" say true vegetarians who have been promoting plant foods for decades - not faux meat made from plants (and/or whatever). ;)

"Chris Martin's one-meal-a-day habit - why is it so popular among famous men
and does it actually have any health benefits?"

"There are a substantial number of studies dating back at least a decade that suggest intermittent fasting
may prolong someone's life, trigger weight loss and lower their risk of diseases including diabetes and Alzheimer's."

"However, in recent years a small body of research has emerged linking the trend to a shorter lifespan
and higher risk of heart disease. Experts suggest this may be because intermittent fasters eat more in one go,
which they said could damage cells."

 Makes sense, diabetically! While fasting may have benefit, any large meal (especially carb-intense)
is counterproductive to blood sugar control. Even if not a pre-diabetic, frequent insulin tsunamis
may promote increasing insulin resistance, IMO. ;)
