"Burger King worker, 60, who got movie ticket, candy and pens for 27 years of service without missing a shift

:bana: At least the pens can be used to write checks on the $130,000
and 27 years of free leftover/discounted(?) burgers had value.

"My mother was raped by a stranger. She chose to have me" 8)

 Interesting twist on child birth post rape, suggesting Russian Roulette
for better - not worse - DNA contribution (or maybe "as good as most", rape or not).
This child believes that the mother should have a choice, especially since neither
this mother nor her child know the father (indicates unknown DNA issues ahead). :(

"LGBTQ2SIA - Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Two Spirit, Intersex, Asexual"

 Considering the many ways that humans prefer to differentiate, that sexual orientation
now has greater import than politics or religion, for example, seems to suggest significance
about human vs animal advancement ... but what :?: :!:

 Animals don't differentiate by politics or religion ,apparently, but neither do they stray
from evolutionary XY birth assignments. Perhaps advanced brains encourage exploration
beyond basic XY and even help convince that LGBTQ2SIA is just the beginning of other
differentiation this century. Curiously, some orientation (e.g., pedophilia)
is still topically taboo in today's media, but is still "sexual orientation".

However, "The Art of Doing Nothing While Doing Something" is usually practiced every day by most people.

"10-year-old girl denied abortion in Ohio"

 A 10-year-old girl will require parental assistance
in many ways until long past this child's birth ...
and probably during most teenage pregnancies.

In other words, the abortion issue is a family affair
for pregnancies of teenagers or younger girls!
And in a perfect world, pro-life supporters
commit to helping their family and friends
with the demands of such pregnancies. ;)

"Is your smartphone ruining your memory? A special report on the rise of 'digital amnesia' "

:hithere Seems logical! Good memory is a skill acquired with frequent use :!:

EZ example: In the good ol' days, a driver would look at a map
to get from Point A to Point B ... then remember the route.
Now, GPS eliminates the need to know the route -
just follow its directions while driving.

 The other Point? The greater memory lesson of GPS
is how to activate it with desired Points A,B -
not how to improve/reinforce memory. :(

 The ultimate Point? A smart chip in the brain
will soon be necessary for good memory.

 Today's page link humor: "amenesia"
"ruining-your-memory" Amen! Amnesia!

One of these wrapped around steering wheel could be constant reminder
to ALWAYS check for baby (pet, whatever) before leaving car. Also,
a passerby noticing this wrap might be inspired to look for baby. :finger:

Tip: Place to be at top of steering wheel when vehicle is parked.

When directed to drop the hot dog, Stoll reportedly became 'extremely upset' and threw the item -
which is not a sandwich - at a uniformed patrolman. The hot dog hit the cop,
who was not injured by the airborne bun and beef."

Re: https://www.rt.com/pop-culture/558425-b ... ray-trans/
" 'Surgery can’t make you a woman,' multiple celebs in trans row say"

 The medical evidence is overwhelming that surgery does not create
man from woman and vice versa. Yet, the transformation that occurs
seems sufficient for the appearance desired ... apparently. ;)

 Best guess: Let medical professionals maintain their science*
and let "the people" choose their labels and behaviors. 8)

* Procreation is a major qualifier of what defines biological man and woman.
Currently, trans surgery renders the new man unable to contribute sperm (+ DNA)
and the new woman unable to contribute egg (+ DNA) plus womb for conception.
A successful trans surgery of a man and a woman should permit them to
then unite and conceive a child ... the ol' fashioned way.

"Australian Officials Scramble for Answers After 'Diphtheria' Reported For the First Time in 100 Years"

(a comment) "But you can still take Quercetine (nature's original HCQ) and Black Seed Oil (nature's original Ivermectin).
They are food supplements, but Quercetine is in a lot of foods (apples, onions, blueberries, more), and it helps you absorb Zinc,
which is also in a lot of foods (meat, eggs, beans). It's the Zinc that actually kills the virus (and restores your sense of smell)."

 Unexpected reminder that a healthy diet (sans "junk food", etc.) is the better preventative. ;)

:bana: Speaking of blueberries, try this faux
Blueberry Cheese Cake (tastes like)

refrigerate until blueberries are thawed, then stir before serving
over slices of Queso Fresco (Mexican white cheese). :roll

... or top a scoop of blueberry sauce with chunks of QF.

:bana: Speaking of condiments, try this unusual
Sardine Sauce (also tasty with tomatoes!)

Combine 12oz container Coarse Ground Dijon Mustard
with 16oz container 0% Greek Yogurt,
1/2 tsp garlic granules,
3 tbsp dried parsley.

Refrigerate until served.
