 Maybe birth certificate could have X X Y Z
(doctor circles X X for female, X Y for male,
and Z for "parental don't ask - don't tell")

Birth announcements could do the same
with Z suggesting gift card or bitcoinz. :roll

"Bojangles released its new Bo’s Chicken Sandwich ($3.99) on Monday."

 For the economy minded, a $2.99 chicken-flavored crispy sandwich
could be an off-the-menu item at these restaurants now promoting
crispy chicken sandwiches. "Bo's All-Crispy" sounds tempting! :roll

:hithere Actually, not so whimsical!
"Bo's All-Crispy Cheddar" might outpluck, financially speaking. ;)

Re: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... tback.html
"WhatsApp joins avalanche of criticism of Apple's plan to scan iPhones for images of child abuse and send them to police"

 Considering the many photos that may appear to show child abuse, these phone owners (and users of the internet service)
will need to document every photo on their device (whether taken by owner or received*) in case a future investigation requires proof
that child abuse is not occurring. Incidentally, children's photos may not be the only ones of interest to these scheming (?) scanners. ;)

* photos received are "on the phone" until discarded (but not necessarily erased, considering today's technology).
And the owner is guilty until proven innocent, considering how some child protection services operate.

 Best guess: A device not connected to the internet seems best for many children's photos
until this new policy includes reliable societal controls. And considering other photos "of interest",
secure encryption now seems required for images stored on internet-connected devices. :(

"Boyle said in an emailed statement that suspending the reading, writing and math proficiency requirements will benefit

 Not long ago (and for many decades previous), glamorous camping ("glamping") would have been considered an oxymoron. Then, "roughing it" was nature-relative and not just slightly deficient in home-style comfort/convenience.

 Maybe the HUGE cruise ship voyages are related, where a small town (plus its conveniences) floats from port to port to simulate world travel (decades ago world travel was truly intense adventure). 8)

"1,000-year-old grave may belong to nonbinary leader, challenging centuries-old gender roles"

 Today's "nonbinary" definition is probably not how those Finns defined this leader's sexuality,
perhaps using a term that meant "both male and female" - not "neither male nor female". ;)
Also, today's "nonbinary" people typically do not have Klinefelter syndrome.

The symbolism of the sword could mean that this person, however presenting,
effectively commanded the same respect as would a male leader. 8)

"DEFCON is the scariest game"

 Setting emotion aside, a real "final war" inherently includes
a midpoint wherein the combatants have to start calculating
the survivability of those "winning" the war. For example,
with all nuclear weapons released, could 1,000 people
survive long enough to start repopulating the planet?
And would later generations keep "generating".

 Reality check about protein (IMO) ...

Despite all the hype in recent decades about "perfect" protein, evolution anticipated that humans would not always have specific sources of proteins, therefore evolving human metabolism to extract amino acids from all food sources to create a pool of available aminos. Human cells, if not otherwise influenced by vaccines, etc. ;) , still know how/when to dip into the amino pool to assemble what's needed for body maintenance and repair. A caveat is that a more-balanced diet is required if protein-intense foods are limited, such as with vegetarians. :roll

"Children born during pandemic have lower IQs"

"With limited stimulation at home and less interaction with the world outside, pandemic-era children
appear to have scored shockingly low on tests designed to assess cognitive development"

"The first few years of a child’s life are critical to their cognitive development."

 Intriguing since we would expect parents at home to provide more stimulation for their kids,
but this could also suggest that kids get better cognitive stimulation in day care facilities ...
and hints that all activities (e.g., transportation) between home and school are important. ;)

"Skinny 'Spite' house hits the market for $1.2m: Urban legend says TEN-FOOT-WIDE home
was 'built by Civil War soldier on lot shared with greedy brother to block his harbor views' "

:bana: This can now be the city-life "upscale model" for owners of tiny homes ...
or it could be sublet as single-floor tiny apartments. However, tiny apartments
(with BIG rental cost) already exist in many cities :!:

Imagine advertising "Front rooms have harbor view!" 8)

 And email advertising from Viking Travel:
"See where our small ships can take you."
(complements tiny house living) ;)

"Would you like a fry with that mini burger?"
(complements tiny house living) ;)

"Blockchain 101: Learn About the Technology That Will Change Your Financial Future"

"Over the next 10 years, I think the value creation will be astronomical"

 Massive, online, 24/7 computing power will also be astronomical (to keep networks active and instantaneous
while serving transaction needs of the earth's billions of people). And speaking of massive (re: data archives),
EVERY transaction will be forever traceable, since existence/ownership of a bitcoin requires such tracing. ;)

 Somehow this new technology "does not compute" as new technology since "blockchain"
seems representative of a continuing audit trail - not bank account. :?
