Re: Discovering Answers, The Living Spirit

Geoff, the many theories on alien civilizations and the roles they have played on our world are very fascinating. I don’t claim to believe or disbelieve them, but have faith that we will get full disclosure eventually. For now, TUB provides us with a great construct with which we can make sense of t...

Re: Discovering Answers, The Living Spirit

Good. I'm spending some time working on the slides today since I have the day off of work. My plan is to present a brief introduction of the book and then step you through the Foreword, explaining a lot of the terms and concepts used throughout the text. This will lay a good foundation for further s...

What a coincidence, Sandy! Spirit moves in mysterious ways. I hope this little one finds its way into the world soon.

Re: My Sweet Daughter

I was guided to this thread today. That was a beautiful poem, Eric. Babies and puppies are two things that always seem to put an insuppressible smile on my face. I think it’s wonderful how your future daughter comes through to you. I have thought about having a daughter as well. It would be an adopt...

Re: Discovering Answers, The Living Spirit

The UB teaches that the universe is teaming with other life forms much like us. And we do indeed share our journey with them. If you are interested in learning more about the UB then I would really appreciate the opportunity to help you with that. I’ve started working on my first PowerPoint presenta...

Re: The Self: A Means to an End

I believe these essays were lessons for me. I was given some guidance on what to write, but I was the one to put them together. They reflect upon the phenomenon on selfhood, and the end of self is the beginning of Self. This week when I was contemplating infinity, I reached a level in my mind where ...

Re: Discovering Answers, The Living Spirit

Wow, Eric! Those are awesome experiences. Thank you for sharing. It brings to mind the message that went out yesterday about psychic abilities actually being gifts. I think it befalls us to learn how to use these gifts and I like the way you are intuiting the experiences. You mention the Dalmatian p...

Re: The Self: A Means to an End

Eric, After you asked me about why I left the site, I revisited this post. I was actually very sad to leave back then but felt that it was the right thing to do. When my 114th post was in the :14 thread where I mentioned being born at 1:14pm, I got to thinking that I was right to leave when I did an...

Re: Happy Pi Day!

Sandy, your post gave me a chuckle. Did you get a piece of pie yesterday? I have a great appreciation for the beauty of mathematics, but I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Thanks for the links, Rod. All your talk on circles and squares makes me think of Circle Square Ranch, an old children’s TV ...

Re: Happy Pi Day!

Correction:’imaginary’ number i, not a complex number which has a real and imaginary part. i is the square root of -1. It is not actually possible to take the square root of a negative number, but i is used many practical applications. Much like how our imaginations drive actual creative projects.

Re: Happy Pi Day!

Very interesting, Rod! My favourite thing about pi is how it relates to another irrational constant, e, which is defined as the summation from n=0 to infinity of 1/n!. Which is the limit as n approaches infinity of the expression 1+1/n. It is related to pi, 0, 1, and complex number i through Euler’s...

Happy Pi Day!

Pi is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter and its constant for every circle. It’s typically rounded to 3.14, but it’s actually an irrational number, meaning the decimal places continue infinitely without repetition or pattern. This has got me thinking about infinity today. We have ...

Re: Uplifting Music

Thanks for the details, Eric. I plan to join in and see what it’s all about. Well, you have more musical skills than me. I briefly learned to play the violin in school but never stuck with it. And my sister took piano lessons so I picked up a few things from her. I used to know how to play one part ...

Sandy, the Indigo Girls’ songs are filled with many spiritual themes. I find the lyrics of Strange Fire very powerful. They really ring the truth bells. You may also like Secure Yourself. Re: Uplifting Music

Spring felt very far off today as I was shovelling the 3 ft of snow that fell this weekend. The snow drift behind my house is over my head. But I’m sure it will melt away soon enough. I hope your dream comes true, Eric. There is something about being face to face with people, even virtually, that yo...

Re: A Little Fellowship ...Anyone?

Beautiful quotes, Geoff. The James Padgett messages from 100 years ago are much the same as the messages being received today, which are essentially the same teachings that Jesus gave us when he was here in the flesh 2000 years ago. Anything of eternal value is timeless. Mortal man can do nothing to...

Re: Prayers for my Dad

Hi Sandy,

Sorry to hear about this. But 88 years of experience on this planet should do him well in his new life to come. Surely, he will count you and your family as the greatest of his earthly treasures. Prayers going out to you all as you await the Angel of Death to take your dad.

Love,

Re: Uplifting Music

I find that sometimes music can have a healing effect. These are the medicine songs. Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of new age Spanish music. I’d like to share a couple of these songs that hit a certain chord with me. The first is called Machi by Peia. A Machi is a medicine woman. When she hits...

Re: A Little Fellowship ...Anyone?

Hi Eric, Yes, I mentioned this before. It was in relation to one of Welles’ essays. I think the meeting that Welles wrote about would be structured yet informal. Each person would get some time to present something of a spiritual nature like a prayer, a song, a reading from a book, reflection on a s...
