Advancing clockature?

:flower: Mind stretch for the holidays
... aka "I think I'm thinking."

If I were a clockature
... and you were a lady
would you marry me anyway?
... would you have my baby?

 Link the familiar tune while considering
that a computer is more clock than human.
Only when clock exhibits that which is human
does computer begin to qualify as human ...
if it demonstrates believable clockature :!:

 Does a clock work? play? think? fear?
rest? dream? and oft shed a tear?

Show its love through loneliness?
Show its love through sorrow?
I'll give you my onlyness -
give me your tomorrow. :love

 In this exercise, 'clockature' becomes a new word describing belief
that robots are becoming human (but actually just more humanoid).
If 'robot' replaced 'clock', 'human-like' is immediate perception.

Thank you for that, Rod. :)

You have me thinking about the Spironga in he Urantia Book. Do you think they would sort of be classified as humanoids by our way of thinking?

Sandy,

The following UB paragraph suggests that "spirit offspring" are not human-programmed machines:

"The Spironga are the spirit offspring of the Bright and Morning Star and the Father Melchizedek. They are exempt from personality termination but are not evolutionary or ascending beings. Neither are they functionally concerned with the evolutionary ascension regime. They are the spirit helpers of the local universe, executing the routine spirit tasks of Nebadon." (37:10.2)

Thanks Rod for taking the time to look that up for me.

Do we know if there are God/Spirit-programmed machines?

Interesting discussion about machines... Thank you.

Sandy,

"Programmed" suggests interference in universe free will ...
and angelic guidance, for example, is not "programming".

 I suddenly recall an 1111angels message that crop circles
are created by "programmed machines", but these would not be
considered advancing spiritual beings with Paradise potential.

Re: https://www.zdnet.com/article/ai-still- ... sy-poetry/

"Machine-generated poetry doesn’t show much thought ... output remains fairly mediocre,
but it is getting good enough that some human readers will give the poems respectable marks
in controlled evaluations. And some people will even be fooled into ascribing human authorship" :o

:roll This hints that an AI study buddy might even "assist" some day
with one's creative writing assignments in school or college?

 And in the home kitchen, tell it (him, her, whatever) to inventory the pantry
and create a few new recipes for the family ... with introductory poem! Then,
ask family whether recipe or poem is the AI gift.
