Caitlin Johnstone is an Australian blogger/writer who's political astuteness is right on the mark. She has been posting a great deal about the importance of the Julian Assange case. Her point is the war factions of the US and allies are trying to destroy the will of journalists to uncover illegal and amoral practices about which their populations are kept in the dark and fed 'media', like mushrooms. Thanks for sharing these writings Welles,

I've read a couple of the articles so far and it is infuriating. I've been meaning to write some letters to my Australian politicians on this situation. Since when do Aussies throw one of their own journalists to the "wolves"! These articles give me some helpful ammunition for those letters of protest.
