 This information from George Barnard has not been challenged or corrected in almost four decades!
(other than by perspective that it's not true if not included in the UB)

"your (UB) predates the Correcting Time and in keeping with the rebellion’s adjudication new rules do apply"

(reference to adjudication of Lucifer Rebellion four decades ago: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=26909 )

"Four are as if they never were --- Lucifer, Satan, Caligastia and Daligastia ...
It was in 1984 or 1985 ... All evil on this world is now of human making."

"Long Heads and Round Heads; Or, What's the Matter with Germany", By William Samuel Sadler - 1918

 Dr. Sadler's study of "a civilized nation suddenly becoming war-mad and so unbelievably atrocious".
Obviously, Dr. Sadler is searching for explanations and does not start his study with Eugenics thesis.

Incidentally, that a majority of the world's humans are now participating in genetic modification (mRNA vaccines*) cautions us to be more circumspect about anti-eugenics perspective. After all, the UB refers to procreation management to upstep the human races - not genetic modification (albeit this mRNA is not race-based modification).

* cause the body's cells to accept mRNA instructions which create the infamous spike proteins
on their surface to stimulate immune response (similar to natural virus exposure). ;)

Re: The benefits of reading the Urantia Book

About dates relating to UB Parts I-III ...

Part I "These thirty-one papers depicting the nature of Deity, the reality of Paradise, the organization and working of the central and superuniverses, the personalities of the grand universe, and the high destiny of evolutionary mortals, were sponsored, formulated, and put into English by a high commission consisting of twenty-four Orvonton administrators acting in accordance with a mandate issued by the Ancients of Days of Uversa directing that we should do this on Urantia, 606 of Satania, in Norlatiadek of Nebadon, in the year A.D. 1934." (31:10.22)

Part II "This paper on Universal Unity is the twenty-fifth of a series of presentations by various authors, having been sponsored as a group by a commission of Nebadon personalities numbering twelve and acting under the direction of Mantutia Melchizedek. We indited these narratives and put them in the English language, by a technique authorized by our superiors, in the year 1934 of Urantia time." (56:10.23)

Part III
"This paper, depicting the seven bestowals of Christ Michael, is the sixty-third of a series of presentations, sponsored by numerous personalities, narrating the history of Urantia down to the time of Michael’s appearance on earth in the likeness of mortal flesh. These papers were authorized by a Nebadon commission of twelve acting under the direction of Mantutia Melchizedek. We indited these narratives and put them in the English language, by a technique authorized by our superiors, in the year A.D. 1935 of Urantia time." (119:8.9)

Part IV "This group of papers was sponsored by a commission of twelve Urantia midwayers acting under the supervision of a Melchizedek revelatory director. The basis of this narrative was supplied by a secondary midwayer who was onetime assigned to the superhuman watchcare of the Apostle Andrew."

Probable authorization path for UB Part IV ...

"The Bright and Morning Star is the personalization of the first concept of identity and ideal of personality conceived by the Creator Son and the local universe manifestation of the Infinite Spirit." (33:4.1)

"Gabriel is the chief officer of execution for superuniverse mandates relating to nonpersonal affairs in the local universe. Most matters pertaining to mass judgment and dispensational resurrections, adjudicated by the Ancients of Days, are also delegated to Gabriel and his staff for execution. Gabriel is thus the combined chief executive of both the super- and the local universe rulers." (33:4.6)

"ASSIGNED by Gabriel to supervise the restatement of the life of Michael when on Urantia and in the likeness of mortal flesh, I, the Melchizedek director of the revelatory commission intrusted with this task, am authorized to present this narrative of certain events which immediately preceded the Creator Son’s arrival on Urantia to embark upon the terminal phase of his universe bestowal experience." (120:0.1)

:!: Best guess: Parts I-III were mandated by authority greater than the Local Universe (Ancients of Days of Uversa), but a mandate probably reflecting the desires of that Creator Son. That Gabriel, Michael's Chief Executive, then assigned the task of restating the life of Michael suggests Part IV was intended to complete the collection of Papers to be known as "the fifth epochal revelation".

Thus, Parts I-III had a fixed-date (year) beginning delivery with Part IV then scheduled to complete the delivery. Interestingly, the 1934/35 dates were probably just communication to the revelatory team (including humans) that it was time to start birthing (formally receiving) the Papers of the revelation. These dates, if announced earlier on high, would have directed the authors/sponsors to begin preparing for that delivery. And this suggests that much of the human source material used was collected/edited before 1934/35 in order to be included in the delivery.

Why the Ancients of Days? ...

 Why would the Ancients of Days be involved in epochal revelation to Urantia
... and with year specificity? Here's a clue:

"the tribunal of the Ancients of Days has not yet finished the adjudication of the affairs of the Lucifer rebellion." (46:8.1)

 Apparently, the timing of delivery of the Urantia Papers also related to terminating events
(even instigating events) of the Lucifer Rebellion. Also, authority greater than the Local Universe
was required to permit (even mandate) participation of Superuniverse personalities. ;)

Note: That 1111angels shared the message that the Luicifer Rebellion has been adjudicated
(and that the rebel leaders chose to exist not) is also relevant to the 1934/35 dates ...
since the Ancients of Days could anticipate the adjudication and had great concern
that the Rebellion be explained, that Michael's universe be stabilized, etc.

:sunflower: Re: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech ... laims.html
"Early humans first walked upright in the TREES and not on the ground as previously thought" :o

:study: From the UB ...
Paper 62 - The Dawn Races of Early Man
http://www.theub.org/part-iii.html#P062_0

3. The Mid-Mammals
Early in the career of the dawn mammals, in the treetop abode of a superior pair of these agile creatures,
twins were born, one male and one female. (62:3.1)

And so it may be readily seen that man and the ape are related only in that they sprang from the mid-mammals, a tribe in which there occurred the contemporaneous birth and subsequent segregation of two pairs of twins: the inferior pair destined to produce the modern types of monkey, baboon, chimpanzee, and gorilla; the superior pair destined to continue the line of ascent which evolved into man himself. (62:3.12)

5. The First Human Beings
"From the year A.D. 1934 back to the birth of the first two human beings is just 993,419 years. These two remarkable creatures were true human beings. They possessed perfect human thumbs, as had many of their ancestors, while they had just as perfect feet as the present-day human races. They were walkers and runners, not climbers; the grasping function of the big toe was absent, completely absent. When danger drove them to the treetops, they climbed just like the humans of today would. They would climb up the trunk of a tree like a bear and not as would a chimpanzee or a gorilla, swinging up by the branches." (62:5.1-2)

:study: Re: https://www.nhm.ac.uk/discover/news/201 ... frica.html
"Rethinking our human origins in Africa"

 Modern beliefs about human origin in Africa include dates much later than birth of the twins, suggesting westward migration toward Africa as explanation how real humans actually arrived there (this article doesn't acknowledge such migration).

:study: Re: https://www.livescience.com/9761-10-animals-tools.html
"10 Animals That Use Tools"

"Scientists once thought of tool use as a defining feature of humans, but increasingly research is showing adept tool users on land, air and sea in the animal kingdom ... Chimpanzees are humanity's closest living relatives, and apparently learned how to make and use tools long ago without human help, with stone hammers found at a chimp settlement in the Ivory Coast dating back 4,300 years."

Re: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech ... laims.html
"55 million years ago - First primitive primates evolve
"2.6 million years ago - Hand axes become the first major technological innovation
"800,000 years ago - Early humans control fire and create hearths"

 This helps explains the disconnect of "55 million years ago" and the UB's story of the first humans one million years ago: "The early lemurs concerned in the ancestry of the human species were not directly related to the pre-existent tribes of gibbons and apes then living in Eurasia and northern Africa, whose progeny have survived to the present time." (UB, 62:1.1) Apparently, primates were still advancing in Africa when real humans migrated there. ;)

:study: Re: https://www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.1018116108
"On the earliest evidence for habitual use of fire in Europe"

"The timing of the human control of fire is a hotly debated issue, with claims for regular fire use by early hominins in Africa at ∼1.6 million y ago ... Our review of the European evidence suggests that early hominins moved into northern latitudes without the habitual use of fire. It was only much later, from ∼300,000 to 400,000 y ago onward, that fire became a significant part of the hominin technological repertoire ... with the Neandertals and their contemporaries elsewhere in the Old World"

 This article suggests that real humans did not habitually use fire until after the discovery of how to make fire (re: Andon and Fonta); how to preserve fire started by nature was known much longer. Perhaps clue that much earlier crafting of hand axes and first use of fire was by primates - not pre-humans! However, not until birth of Andon did humans learn to start fire: "Primates ancestors of Andon replenished fire which had been kindled by lightning, but never before had the creatures of earth possessed a method of starting fire at will." (UB, 63:2.7)

:study: Re: https://eos.org/articles/when-did-archa ... ntrol-fire
"Turkana Basin stretches across parts of Ethiopia, Kenya, South Sudan, and Uganda"

"Skeletal changes evident in the fossil record - a shortened gut, smaller abdominal cavity, and larger brains - suggest that archaic humans became obligatorily connected to fire around 1.9 million years ago. 'The period this team is investigating is the period in which I would expect to see close associations between human settlements and fire. Before then, between 2.5 and 1.9 million years ago, our ancestors were likely playing with fire and using it intermittently.' ”

The subtlety of this "playing with fire" (relative to Andon and Fonta story) is that these "ancestors" would be primates not pre-human! And this suggests that starting fire - not just perpetuating and controlling fire - may be the better qualifier of early human activity in an area! ;)

:study: UB Paper 62 - The Dawn Races of Early Man
5. The First Human Beings

"Increasingly, on down through the dawn mammals, the mid-mammals, and the Primates, we had observed the augmented service of the first five adjutants. But never had the remaining two, the highest mind ministers, been able to function in the Urantia type of evolutionary mind." (62:6.4)

"Imagine our joy one day — the twins were about ten years old — when the spirit of worship made its first contact with the mind of the female twin and shortly thereafter with the male. We knew that something closely akin to human mind was approaching culmination; and when, about a year later, they finally resolved, as a result of meditative thought and purposeful decision, to flee from home and journey north, then did the spirit of wisdom begin to function on Urantia and in these two now recognized human minds." (62:6.5)

"There was an immediate and new order of mobilization of the seven adjutant mind-spirits." (62:6.6)

 These paragraphs clarify that creature mind receptivity to all 7 adjutant mind-spirits identifies human beings. While intelligence may be comparable between advanced primates and early humans, this mind level is the necessary qualifier of "human". Thus, primates may be sufficiently intelligent to control fire and craft tools, but not have complete mind-spirit receptivity. ;)

 Wherefore art church :?:
(good summary of today's church in transition)

:study: Re: https://thehill.com/changing-america/en ... rch-surge/

"People are not getting together much, generally speaking. Not just in church, but in the village ...
People are staying home. They’re on their cellphones. They’re on the Internet."

 This hints that "virtual church" is the interim gathering place during this transition
away from traditional church, with "church" now defined in new & unusual ways. ;)

"Older people tend to be more religious, first as they settle down and have children,
then as they approach a reunion with their creator, assuming they believe in one." :?

 Interesting acknowledgement that faith is required to survive mortal death.
However, all flickering flames - even glowing embers - have guaranteed passage to Mansonia: 8)

"If ever there is doubt as to the advisability of advancing a human identity to the mansion worlds, the universe governments invariably rule in the personal interests of that individual; they unhesitatingly advance such a soul to the status of a transitional being, while they continue their observations of the emerging morontia intent and spiritual purpose. Thus divine justice is certain of achievement, and divine mercy is accorded further opportunity for extending its ministry." (112:5.7) :roll

Hi Rod,

I've just started reading your post of December 16th. I find it fascinating and found myself jumping into the middle of it first with the scientific article written on the use of fire...Anybody in the least interested in archelogy and origin of life will find this a great read. Thank you for taking the time to write and share your study into this matter. :sunflower:

Re: The benefits of reading the Urantia Book

:study: Interesting UB highlight than Nathaniel opposed restating the gospel of the kingdom
(and questions what message Nathaniel delivered in India):

"On Thursday night the apostles had a wonderful meeting in this upper chamber and all pledged themselves to go forth in the public preaching of the new gospel of the risen Lord except Thomas, Simon Zelotes, and the Alpheus twins. Already had begun the first steps of changing the gospel of the kingdom — sonship with God and brotherhood with man — into the proclamation of the resurrection of Jesus. Nathaniel opposed this shift in the burden of their public message, but he could not withstand Peter’s eloquence, neither could he overcome the enthusiasm of the disciples, especially the women believers." ( http://www.theub.org/part-iv.html#P192_4_7 )

 The last sentence of this paragraph hints that Nathaniel did indeed preach the real gospel,
despite the later Christian church preferring the resurrection message:

"Nathaniel’s father (Bartholomew) died shortly after Pentecost, after which this apostle went into Mesopotamia and India proclaiming the glad tidings of the kingdom and baptizing believers. His brethren never knew what became of their onetime philosopher, poet, and humorist. But he also was a great man in the kingdom and did much to spread his Master’s teachings, even though he did not participate in the organization of the subsequent Christian church. Nathaniel died in India." ( http://www.theub.org/part-iv.html#P139_6_9 )

 Now, the gospel in modern India hints that Jesus' gospel would have survived:

Re: https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/arti ... -in-india/

"Across denominations the gospel is lost. Most churches are infected with prosperity teaching. Are people attracted to these churches? Yes, hence their prevalence, but most churches are filled with nominal Christians. And even churches that haven’t been caught up in the prosperity trap teach moralistic religion, devoid of the true gospel. The younger generation is increasingly walking away from such churches that look down on them—only to join a new fast-growing movement of hyper-grace churches all over the region. This place is far from being reached with the gospel, but it’s highly reached with false teaching."

:sunflower: Today's wordplay ...
Gospel - Jesus' promotion of sonship with God and brotherhood with man.
Gospell - The powerfully emotive spell of Jesus' resurrection.

:study: Regarding India and its early Christian church ...

Re: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parangimalai
"The ancient Syrian Christian community of India trace the origin of their church to St. Thomas the Apostle."

Re: https://www.haaretz.com/jewish/2015-12- ... -in-india/ (not a link)
"Modern historians believe that Christianity actually arrived in India several centuries after the era of the historical Thomas,
with the arrival of Christians from Syria and from Persia."

 This modern history correlates with the UB's statement about Thomas: "He gave wise counsel to the apostles after Pentecost
and, when persecution scattered the believers, went to Cyprus, Crete, the North African coast, and Sicily, preaching the glad tidings
of the kingdom and baptizing believers." ( http://www.theub.org/part-iv.html#P139_8_13 )

That Thomas traveled to Cyprus (across from Syria) hints that THIS is where started the tradition
of St. Thomas in India (these early Syrian Christians later traveled to India). 8)

:study: About N, N-Dimethyltryptamine (DMT, the 'spirit molecule') ...

Re: https://www.healthline.com/health/what-is-dmt

"As with most drugs, DMT can affect people in very different ways. Some truly enjoy the experience. Others find it overwhelming or frightening. Some refer to this negative experience as a bad trip. As far as its psychoactive effects, people have described feeling like they’re traveling at warp speed through a tunnel of bright lights and shapes. Others describe having an out-of-body experience and feeling like they’ve changed into something else. There are also some who report visiting other worlds and communicating with alien-like beings."

 I suspect that the TA, et al., would prefer not to communicate with a human mind temporarily "distorted" by DMT. However, naturally occurring DMT might relate to "other dimension" experiences! But this questions what other dimensions rats experience. Maybe animal contact with the first five adjutant mind spirits is facilitated by their natural DMT. :o

Re: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N,N-Dimethyltryptamine

"DMT is naturally occurring in small amounts in rat brain, human cerebrospinal fluid, and other tissues of humans and other mammals."

"It appears that DMT can induce a state or feeling where the person believes to 'communicate with other intelligent-life forms'. High doses of DMT produce a state that involves a sense of 'another intelligence' that people sometimes describe as 'super-intelligent', but 'emotionally detached'."

 So, what would the TA, et al., prefer :?:

"It is to the mind of perfect poise, housed in a body of clean habits, stabilized neural energies, and balanced chemical function — when the physical, mental, and spiritual powers are in triune harmony of development — that a maximum of light and truth can be imparted with a minimum of temporal danger or risk to the real welfare of such a being." ( http://www.theub.org/part-iii.html#P110_6_4 )

:study: More research on this mysterious chemical ...

Re: https://www.healthline.com/health/pineal-gland-dmt

"Trace amounts of DMT have been detected in the pineal glands of rats, but not in the human pineal gland. Plus, the pineal gland might not even be the main source. The most recent animal study on DMT in the pineal gland found that even after removing the pineal gland, the rat brain was still able to produce DMT in different regions."

"There’s evidence that endorphins and other chemicals released in high amounts during moments of extreme stress, such as near death, are more likely responsible for the brain activity and psychoactive effects that people report, like hallucinations."

Re: Concentric Pi design*

:sunflower: Geometry instructs "three concentric circles" need only have a common center to be "concentric".
Wherever the UB mentions "concentric", it does not identify relationship of those diameters. The obvious
geometric difference between the trademarked circles and the "impossible to square" circles suggests that
three concentric circles having diameters with Pi/2 relationship could be reserved for channeled material
(or associated inspiration). This helps isolate the trademarked UB text from inspirational writing
... as well as later revelation. ;)

Re: The benefits of reading the Urantia Book

8) Reverend Christine, Minister of The Metaphysical Life Church in Port Orford, Oregon,
read this chapter as part of one of her online Sunday services several years ago:
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?s ... ersion=NIV (John 17:24)

"Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory,
the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world."

 The Bible indirectly records that Jesus (the incarnated Michael of Nebadon)
existed before the planet was created :!:

:study: Re: https://versebyversecommentary.com/2018 ... john-1724/
(from John 17:24) "for You loved Me before the foundation of the world."

(interpretation) "The Father loved the Son from eternity. 'Before the foundation of the world' means in eternity.
The love of the Father did not originate in time but in eternity. The Father-Son relationship existed in eternity."

(UB perspective) The Father loved the Son of the trinity from eternity, but Jesus was referring to his own divine sonship later
and to the creation of his universe when he spoke to his apostles.

:study: A statement in Jesus' Sermon on the Good Shepherd ( https://www.theub.org/part-iv.html#P165_2 )
that mentions his existence before the world was created, for he "received such authority" then. In fact,
this may be a source of a similar statement in John 17:24 ("you loved me before the creation of the world"):

"And so shall you know why the Father loves me and has put all of his flocks in this domain in my hands for keeping; it is because the Father knows that I will not falter in the safeguarding of the sheepfold, that I will not desert my sheep, and that, if it shall be required, I will not hesitate to lay down my life in the service of his manifold flocks. But, mind you, if I lay down my life, I will take it up again. No man nor any other creature can take away my life. I have the right and the power to lay down my life, and I have the same power and right to take it up again. You cannot understand this, but I received such authority from my Father even before this world was." (165:2.10)

From Jesus' "Last Group Prayer" (Paper 182 - In Gethsemane, https://www.theub.org/part-iv.html#P182_0 ),
another possible source of John 17:24:

"And now, O my Father, glorify me with the glory which I had with you before this world was
and receive me once more at your right hand." (182:1.3)

:hithere Then appeared this closing reminder that Jesus' church is not a formal religion;
that Christianity is not the only foundation of such a church:

"The true church — the Jesus brotherhood — is invisible, spiritual,
and is characterized by unity, not necessarily by uniformity." ;)

:study: See also: Paper 57 - The Origin of Urantia (Earth)
https://www.theub.org/part-iii.html#P057_0

"400,000,000,000 years ago began the recaptive period of the Andronover nebula." (57:3.7)

"It was scarcely a million years subsequent to this epoch that Michael of Nebadon, a Creator Son of Paradise,
selected this disintegrating nebula as the site of his adventure in universe building." (57:3.8 )

"1,000,000,000 years ago is the date of the actual beginning of Urantia history. The planet had attained
approximately its present size. And about this time it was placed upon the physical registries of Nebadon
and given its name, Urantia." (57:8.1)

Paragraphs in the Urantia Papers containing "bestow"
(includes all paragraphs of Papers 119, 120) 8)

Interesting collection of UB references, suggesting
"bestow" is the underlying theme of the UB
(if not the entire universe). ;)

:hithere This bestowals concept is so widespread in the Papers
that, despite individual authors, the editorial team (on high)
must be the source of this continuing message :!:

 Wordsmith humor

While contemplating "Which came first? The Foreword or the Backword?", and being among the many
"who may peruse these papers" (0:0.3), this paragraph seems especially enlightening:

Paper 1 - The Universal Father

"Presented by a Divine Counselor, a member of a group of celestial personalities assigned by the Ancients of Days on Uversa, the headquarters of the seventh superuniverse, to supervise those portions of this forthcoming revelation which have to do with affairs beyond the borders of the local universe of Nebadon. I am commissioned to sponsor those papers portraying the nature and attributes of God because I represent the highest source of information available for such a purpose on any inhabited world..." (1:7.9)

 This acknowledgement contains good essence of the authority of Part I, suggesting that the Foreword and immediately following Papers represent the top of the pyramid of superuniverse personalities sponsoring our planet's fifth epochal revelation, with the Foreword anticipating presentation of concepts and terminology unfamiliar to the Backword readers.

Re: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... vices.html

"Priests could stop using male pronouns 'He' and 'Him' when referring to God in prayers
and drop phrase 'our Father' from the Lord's Prayer"

 This would be amazing chutzpah of the Church,
considering that Jesus of Nazareth is the author of that prayer:

"During this year Jesus first formulated the prayer which he subsequently taught to his apostles,
which to many has become known as “The Lord’s Prayer." ( https://www.theub.org/part-iv.html#P126_3_3 )

 This particular gender dismissal fails to acknowledge that
"mother" and "father" refer to family roles more than gender,
that "mother" is the parent who gives birth to a child
(albeit, historically, "mother" is a biological female).

:sunflower: Since Joshua ben Joseph is "the man that Jesus was", Jesus' human name may encourage new exploration:

"By the break of day the pangs of childbirth were well in evidence, and at noon, August 21, 7 B.C., with the help and kind ministrations of women fellow travelers, Mary was delivered of a male child. Jesus of Nazareth was born into the world, was wrapped in the clothes which Mary had brought along for such a possible contingency, and laid in a near-by manger." ( https://www.theub.org/part-iv.html#P122_8_1 )

"In just the same manner as all babies before that day and since have come into the world, the promised child was born; and on the eighth day, according to the Jewish practice, he was circumcised and formally named Joshua (Jesus)." ( https://www.theub.org/part-iv.html#P122_8_2 )

 See also: https://www.lookingatchrist.com/2019-1- ... en-joseph/

"But when I hear 'Joshua ben Joseph,' it changes a bit. All of a sudden,
like a freight train, his humanity comes rushing in." 8)

"Mozambique pastor dies attempting 40-day Jesus fast"

"After 25 days without food or water, he had lost weight to the point where he could not stand up. He was aged 39." :(

 From the UB ...

"Jesus did not fast during this forty days’ isolation. The longest period he went without food was his first two days in the hills
when he was so engrossed with his thinking that he forgot all about eating. But on the third day he went in search of food."
https://www.theub.org/part-iv.html#P136_4_3

"Throughout these eventful days Jesus lived in an ancient rock cavern, a shelter in the side of the hills near a village
sometime called Beit Adis. He drank from the small spring which came from the side of the hill near this rock shelter."

Re: https://religionunplugged.com/news/2023 ... or-revival
"Jesus Revolution: A Well-Intentioned Revival Movie"

 An in-depth review of the movie with author's timely emphasis on unity (not uniformity) ...

"Ultimately, 'Jesus Revolution' doesn’t have the answers it claims to — either to turn around the decline of Christianity or heal a divided culture. In order to do that, a movie would have to show what it actually looks like to walk the Christian walk, in all its difficulty and beauty. And this movie is not that movie."

"I will say, I do think unity is possible ... I’m not skeptical enough to say that this movie couldn't bring about another deep look at unity. I guess the bigger question to be asking is, is there a beautiful culture that could be constructed around the things that Jesus stood for in his life? And I think the answer is yes."

Re: https://religionunplugged.com/news/2023 ... or-revival

 While "this movie is not that movie", it may cause good fishing spots wherein new dissemination may help
relocate spiritually inquisitive tadpoles (re: "ancestral frog") to more nurturing waters. 8)

:sunflower: The history of the Bible is also informative (one of many perspectives) ...

Re: https://christianity.org.uk/article/the ... -the-bible
"The history of the Bible"

"The 66 books of the Bible were written over a span of 1,500 years by more than 40 authors ...
The last 27 books of the Bible, known as the New Testament, were written over a much shorter period by fewer people ...
Many versions of the Bible exist now. Scholars have gone back to old manuscripts to produce more exact translations."

Thus, "Word of God" means the Word of God as written by many inspired humans,
with continuing translations and later synthesis of previous authorship.

Re: https://www.christianheadlines.com/cont ... ulous.html

"The faith-based film Jesus Revolution surprised Hollywood observers by packing theaters and crushing its projection over the weekend,
soaring to No. 3 at the box office ... tells the true story of a hippie-led revival in the 1960s/70s"

:hithere Looks like a movie to see, especially to learn how retelling this old revival transforms viewers. A clue may be if it directs viewers to Christianity (especially, Bible and Church) or simply entices with Jesus' true gospel:

"John asked Jesus, 'Master, what is the kingdom of heaven?' And Jesus answered: 'The kingdom of heaven consists in these three essentials: first, recognition of the fact of the sovereignty of God; second, belief in the truth of sonship with God; and third, faith in the effectiveness of the supreme human desire to do the will of God — to be like God. And this is the good news of the gospel: that by faith every mortal may have all these essentials of salvation.' " ( https://www.theub.org/part-iv.html#P140_10_9 )

:study: Re: Paper 195 - After Pentecost,
9. Christianity’s Problem

 This entire Paper alludes to a new way of living as children of God enlightened by epochal revelation,
even suggesting that traditional Christianity is not that way. In fact, the way counseled may require effort
to comprehend and practice. After all, religion's overorganization and formality in recent centuries
seem more representative of a human genome.

"subsequent to the discovery of the barrenness of formalized religion" ( https://www.theub.org/part-iv.html#P195_9_7 )

"Christianity is threatened by slow death from formalism, overorganization, intellectualism, and other nonspiritual trends."

"The world needs to see Jesus living again on earth in the experience of spirit-born mortals who effectively reveal the Master to all men."

"The true church — the Jesus brotherhood — is invisible, spiritual, and is characterized by unity, not necessarily by uniformity. Uniformity is the earmark of the physical world of mechanistic nature. Spiritual unity is the fruit of faith union with the living Jesus. The visible church should refuse longer to handicap the progress of the invisible and spiritual brotherhood of the kingdom of God. And this brotherhood is destined to become a living organism in contrast to an institutionalized social organization." ( https://www.theub.org/part-iv.html#P195_10_11 )
