Thought about the gang today, 1111 is as strong as ever and today I thought it fitting to drop by and say hello. Sorry for the lack of attendance , I'm just trying to play

Using the kids car, jacked up on its side and on the front lawn was a great addition to the decorations. Not sure the car will be there next year though, will have to borrow and trash the neighbors car

Life is good, my wife still cancer free and through most of the treatment and reconstruction. Other than my business falling apart all is good. My wife's business is doing fine all will work out . I'll be around for
another spooktacular year or two I suppose.

I have no choice really. My oldest son in is New York doing a masters at Actors Studio and my daughter is on a third degree now doing Engineering . We'll have to work until we are 100 now, no choice .

LOL You go to extreme links to put on a great Halloween show. I mean how many people would jack their car on its side(granted it was your klids car LOL but still...) I bet the whole neighbourhood looks forward to what you come up with every year. I would!

I am relieved to hear that your wife is still doing well and the kids have their education well in hand. Hopefully your business will pick up again...I am chuckling thinking of you working till a hundred... I can empathize as I too felt like that with those tuition and kid maintenance bills. I have a strong suspicion you will get it all figured out and find a way to manage it all rather neatly.
How are your knees? It was your knee giving you a bit of trouble I think a year or so ago. Was it a wind sailing injury or something preventing you from wind sailing, perhaps. Are you still flying? Hope so!

Work until 100 well on the up side I would still be alive and capable..........not likely .

Knees are better ( I've smartened up a little) , wife is doing good, kids getting a costly education and I'm still flying, more this year than any other.

Do you still have the house on the Lake? Seems you were working diligently on that as well. I remember the area stole my heart! (Canada has that effect on me)

Any snow yet? (I get very jealous of all you "northern hemisphereies." about this time of year. Especially today as it is very hot outside and we just discovered the batteries leaked inside the control for our split system air conditioner making it impossible to turn the silly thing on.) Listen to me complain. Actually it isn't so bad (yet) as we have kept the flat closed up and the ceiling fans running. So I'm keeping a good thought. (Mind over matter and such)

Hello Happyrain, wondered how many of the gang are still around .

It's the Impreza sport " spookster" version This was the kids car for sharing during university but now my son who has claimed it is in New York . My daughter claimed my wife's Subaru WRX STi
and we are left with a skate board, sneakers and one Triumph motorcycle . Ok, part of that story is untrue my wife has a new BMW X3 and I have the skateboard .

Those skate boards can be wily creatures!

i had an impreza sport and traded it in for a WRX. subaru's aren't to popular where i'm from. i'm thinking it's the opposite where you live.

Yes, my wife had the WRX STi actually, now my daughter has claimed it. Subaru is well represented in Canada overall but there is no dealer in my city.
The older Subaru car used to be a great car, now that they have gone the way of others the quality has slipped.

Where are you, I though Subaru was popular everywhere ?

Sure are popular here in Aus, although its curious the sports car that they make with Toyota, Toyota out sells Subaru 6 or 7 to 1, yet they are really the same car, and as its a Subie engine, I would probably opt for the real deal to service it. But I don't own a subie. Even though I am a car nut. Have had the hots lately for an Abarth 500. Need to get over it?

I used to stack two skateboards on top of each other and then ride down the hill doing a handstand on top of this stack. Hmmmm, maybe I should try this again
Then again, maybe I will

Seems I remember a photo of you doing a hands stand after a long hike on the edge of one of your countries gorgeous overlooks.
Hmmm maybe a few practice tries with a couple of spotters might be in order, eh? Or how about instead a nice glass of wine while watching a spectacular sunset. Don't pay any attention to me... you do what lights your fire my friend... just please be careful and no mistakes!

Had to Google Abarth 500, never heard of that before. Looks like the Fiat 500 they are selling in North America, well, in Canada anyway. Looks like a lot of fun for sure and as they say, "whatever turns your crank."

My car is a Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth. Was very popular in Europe way back in the mid to late 80's. My car actually started life as the North American version, a XR4Ti Merkur . I bought it originally in the 80's and used
it as a family car for 20 + years. It took me almost 10 years to find all the parts and rebuild it as the European version, the RS500. I keep it in the garage and drive on special occasions only, next summer will be 30 years
since I purchased it . Both me and the car are officially antiques, I believe the car is looking the better.

You know what, that handstand has been my thing. Every mountain climbed, major landmark or city, skyscraper , etc. has been photographed with me doing the handstand. At thirteen doing that on a skateboard
was easy, forty years later, it's starting to get a little more challenging but..............I'm not stopping yet. Freakiest occasion to do it was on the glass floor of the CN tower in Toronto. Looking down through a glass
floor 1500ft above Terra Firma was a challenge but I did it and have the picture to back it up. Next ??????

The Abarth has a forged crank shaft, forged pistons and puts out about 180kw in a tiny car. You can bolt on a turbo for $1500 to get 240 kw. Actually there is also a Ferrari version of that fiat, but thats very serious money.

That Abarth with 240KW would be quite nimble I'm sure, looks like the car could be in the 1000KG range so that would make it VERY lively . My RS500 is only 1000kg and 260 KW , also rear wheel drive which makes it quite fun
to drift.....I mean drive

Hmmm, German rear engine could be Benz, BMW, Fiat or VW but I'd put my money on Porche since you like "fun Car" , then again all are fun I suppose, just for different reasons.

Well until 10 years ago I had a pristine 2002 BMW tii - 1974 model year. I passed it on to my son, who has kept it the last ten years. I was fortunate to buy a new 2002 in London in 1972 and have loved them ever since. Seen a few 2002 turbos on offer, but the issue with a pristine classic is you cant do much without affecting the value. But they look awesome.

ALways liked the BMWTii though I didn't know the model number until you mentioned it here. There are a few of those around my city, some older guys who know and can appreciate the vehicle I suppose.

Wow, that looks fantastic. I wished Halloween was such a big deal around where I live. I love the creativity.

Not everyone in my home town does this, it started for me almost twenty years ago after my own kids grew out of Halloween .
I keep saying I will not do this again the next year but every year it just becomes more sophisticated . Most of my visitors
now come from other neighborhoods and other cities so the pressure is on me to continue. I'm still relatively young and healthy
so I'll probably keep doing this or be forced to stop after I am sued for causing emotional and mental trauma .
