We had such a beautiful Sunday today. So we went outside to visit a nearby protected natural reserve. It was better than expected! Returned with a few interesting shots.
Insects have something magical to them.
I wonder what's out there?
Butterfly beauty
Yummi, yummi, yummi...
Hoverfly masquerading as a wasp
Some bug occupying a yellow flower
Can I post this here?

Or shall I be banned herefrom?

I'm a tad worried about the spider Robert, he isn't poisonous is he??
The top insect I always see around here too and it's usually bright green.
The kids call them stink beetles, but I think they're cute, especially when
one lands on me and seems content to stay there.

I've always sort of had good feelings towards the stink beetle too. They seem to want to come inside in the fall and who can blame them in the Northern US. But truly as far as insects go...adorable.
I'm a bit of a spider "nutter" too. We have some mildly poisonous black house spiders living above the kitchen window. I am hoping to catch them in a spot where I can scoop them up and take them outside here in the next couple weeks . Otherwise with a flat inspection looming on the horizon, I will have to use the evil vacuum cleaner.
love,
Sandy

I would guess he is. But as long as he lives in the forest and not in my apartment, I am kind of cool about it...

Found it on Wiki (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stink_bug)
Pentatomidae, Greek pente meaning five and tomos meaning section, are a family of insects belonging to order Hemiptera including some of the stink bugs and shield bugs.[1] The scutellum body is typically half of an inch long,
green or brown color, usually trapezoidal in shape, giving this family the name "shield bug".
Notice the traces of mud on the leave and the beetle. Probably done by a passing by biker...

Thanks Robert.
I was asking on another thread about binaural beats and your name cropped up.
Could you please give me advice on this subject? Either in a PM or
