Hi guys, I usually think twice before asking for prayers or healing since I don't like involving others with my problems, but I feel it is necessary this time. My dad has been suffering from severe back pain for three days now and is going to a specialist on Monday. He may have to get surgery on his spine. He is pretty healthy, so it is not like the life and death situations we sometimes get on here. I'm just asking for you guys to send healing in order to counteract the pain he is going through. His name is Craig. We live in Durham, NC, if that helps. Thanks!

Oh dear, back pain is so debilitating, making you miserable as it seems every muscle is somehow connected. You don't realize this until your back is in trouble and every little movement is a cause for pain. I hope he doesn't need surgery. So we will do what we can, pray for him and send energy healing . If you would like, we could send him to the progress healing circle. All George would still need is a rough idea of his age if this is okay.

That would be great. His full name is Craig Charles Hill. He is 56 years old. He's on pain meds right now, I suppose they would be muscle relaxants. George (if in the Akashic Construct) may also notice that he has an old shoulder injury, which was from when he played football in high school. While this is an occasional problem for him, it is not the priority.

Sending healing prayers for your Dad, overmind!!! I appreciate a request like this -- pain is pain! It's just awful the way he's suffering, and I'm glad you posted this request even though it isn't life and death! My heart really goes out to your dad. I'll be on the case!!

He was put on pain medication, the doctor is waiting to see if the problem will fix itself before there is any surgery. It is probably a herniated disk.

Oh that's good news! That means there's time for the healing energies to take over! We can just sort of picture a nice cushiony layer between the discs, and the disc righting itself. Thanks for the update!

Remember George's one transmission - ? He was talking about a friend of his who wasn't making much sense during a phone call . . . George went into the AC and found a bleed in his brain. He took it out. And the guy went back to normal again. It just took a while for the healing miracle to show up, so to speak. I think your dad's back can heal without the surgery. We can all focus on it.

Sorry to be so late on this, but I wanted to add my prayers for Craig. I loved Michele's idea of envisioning soft cushy layers between the discs! I am praying for not only the relief of pain and healing, but also his peace of mind. I got a strong sense that there was a need for him to pause and rest at this time in his life. I will be thinking of him and praying for him as I go about my day.
I'm so glad you asked for prayer. It truly does bless us as well. I know that every new prayer request is a chance for me to connect with another soul and "get out of myself" and enter the Divine. Yes, I know I can do this anytime, but a prayer request is like a "STOP, RECONNECT WITH SPIRIT" sign for me.

Cassandra, I was just thinking something similar(but not as beautifully put ) after I was praying for someone. I have been pushed over here and it has been easy for me to do what needed done in the physical while putting the all important spiritual nourishment on the 'back burner." It truly is a blessing to drift into those divine spheres and call upon the energies to heal. I felt completely relaxed and peaceful myself afterwards.

Thank you for the information, Arthur. I will do as Michele suggested and envisage a nice, thick, cushiony layer between you Father's disks. Hoping he feels better soon!

We finally figured out the source of the problem (well, the doctor did). My dad has legs that are two different sizes, and this has been putting pressure on the muscles around his lower spine for years. Eventually they just gave out. Dad now has something in his right shoe to correct the difference.

Thanks for the update, Arthur! I am so glad that the solution to your dad's pain and problem turned out to be as simple as placing an insert in one of his shoes. I hope he can once again return to an active and pain free life.

Yep, he also got an inversion table to stretch out his back. It's pretty fun to use because you can hang upside down.

I always wanted to do that...hang upside down on one of those things.
