More Deep Sleep Prompts & Voices

Last night I was sleeping, I sleep deep every night, but they prompted me while I was sleeping, and automatically woke up and opened my eyes to look at the digital clock, and it was 11:11, and it just turned 11:12 a few seconds later, then I closed my eyes.
Do they want me to meditate that minute because they're leaving me a message?
I don't understand why they like waking me up from really deep sleep just to prompt me, not that I don't enjoy the signs, I do!, but I'm just wondering if they are trying to send me a message.
I read that 11:11 just means 'hey, were here' or similar. But why would they prompt you if you were sleeping?
Later that night I could hear a man talking inside my head, the voice was not of my own, which sparked my awareness to snap back to reality, I was aware, but my eyes were still closed, sleeping. I never really remember what these voices say because I usually fall back to sleep, and I'm off dreaming again.
I also tend to wake up abruptly and notice a large translucent spider walking across my wall, but after a few seconds it disappears. Is this some kind of phenomena where I'm partially aware in the dream world?

When I hear a voice that is not my own, it is crystal clear, non-threating, and it is not inside my head but audible as if somebody came up to my ear and spoke.
To me it sounds like you are dreaming.
Here is a question to ask yourself; How do you know that dreams take place in your head?

I never said dreams take place in my head. I said I heard a voice from within my head. When I dream I feel like I leave my body, because I can actually feel disconnected from my body while asleep, or remember such detail from the dream world as If I was standing right there.

mmm okay, so do you think that you are dreaming when you see the spider?
I had a dream one time that i was dreaming and that I woke up only to wake up again to discover that I was dreaming. It was so real it was confusing so I laid back down and went to sleep.

We're all different and simply because our own experience leads us to one conclusion doesn't mean the experience is the same for another. I must admit I may not always know that I am dreaming, but I always know when I am awake. (If that makes any sense

)
It becomes difficult in trying to judge the validity of what someone describes because we are not that person and we are trying to judge it from our own repertoire of knowledge and experience which may or may not apply. But I have seen/heard enough to know the universe, both physical and spiritual is filled with many things my tiny mind does not understand at this time. But hopefully some day I will and it will all make perfect sense. So my meager advice, Jhartsocks, is to keep doing what you are doing that is furthering your own spiritual development...these things you are experiencing will be understood on a personal level as you progress...
Love,
Sandy

Hi J,
Have you tried meditating when they wake you up in the middle of the night with a prompt? I would say it's worth a shot. I have had this happen on occasion, but I usually drift into sleep before I can get anything meditating.
I have also heard a voice in my head from time to time. Funny, I was going to tell you it has happened only 3 times and send you to a link where I have previously shared the experience on the board. But when I did a search, it appears I have heard voices several times and I had forgotten about them. I have heard voices both clearly, where they startled me but I was able to recall at least part of what was said, and many many times where I can hear a voice but it is very garbled or vague. As best I recall, the first voice gave me a message that was prophetic - it said "give the boy extra love he is dying of cancer" - a couple of weeks later a very young male cat I was fostering was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Some of the messages sounded just as prophetic yet I have never seen any "proof" of what they were referring to. My favorite one (sorry to all y'all who've read this one 1000 times...) was when the voice of Marvin Martian said "If we could all manifest God then" ...that's all I heard...perhaps the voice wanted the statement to be a "fill in the blank".
As for the dream vs. reality vs. meditation, I can only agree with what Sandy said. I know when I am awake, but I don't always know when I am dreaming. And again, so much of all of this, meditation included, varies from person to person.
It would be SO nice if someone had nice concise answers to share, but apparently that is not how God wants us to learn. Frustrating at times, isn't it!
Good luck!
LOVE!!!!
