Hello White Light,
Most of what people do they do in an effort to control their environment. If they have control then they hold their happiness in their hands. But the truth is happiness is a choice. It's always there for us to embrace. Even some people in the most impoverished areas of the world are happy. Or at least they can feel joy at any moment in their life. And they do. So the reality is life is more about the moments we share with loved ones than the type of goverment we live under.
Yes, there are some leaders who are corrupt. It is unfortunate they feel the need to control their world to the detriment of its citizens and for those leaders they will understand one day how counter productive their behavior is. But for the most part I rather see most leaders as normal everyday people who think they are doing what is right. They sometimes get it wrong but that is not their intent. But in the end they and everyone else are just here in an effort to find happiness. Think about what that means to you, find your reasons to be happy and nothing in this world can bring you down.
