"Karen Holt of Edwards, Mississippi, was with several people asking lawmakers to adopt a new banner with a magnolia, which is both the state tree and the state flower, and with stars to represent Mississippi as the 20th state. She said it would represent 'joy of being a citizen of the United States,' unlike the current flag."

All reflections of the glories of past wars can be retired ... eventually.
But like most emotive symbols/symbolism, it's less controversial to
introduce the new vision before rapid destruction of the old,
still cherished by many citizens.
But retaliation toppling of statues can be therapeutic.

"he was inside the rally for about 6 hours on Saturday at the BOK Center and that he wore a mask
and mostly practiced social distancing, except for when he went to the concourse to get a snack"

That he has no symptoms ("asymptomatic") is great! ...
except he can now infect others who might develop symptoms.
The world's focus on "masks" rarely discusses the effectiveness
of the MANY different (some homestyle) masks now being worn.
NO TESTING of these hints that they're just symbols of protection.
Then there's the problem of masks being reworn without cleaning.

"Finite dimension of the Neighborhood"
Decreasing Transition Values (for sqrt(2) continuum)
A = Area, D = Diameter, SoCS = Side of Circle's Square
Circle to square: D = 2, sqrt(2), SoCS = 1, A(C) = Pi
Square to circle: SoCS = sqrt(Pi), Pi/2, D = 2/sqrt(Pi), A(c) = 1
Circle (D=2) to circle (Circumference=2)
D(C) = 2, SoCS = sqrt(Pi), A(C) = Pi
D(c) = ((2/sqrt(Pi))^2)/2, SoCS = (2/sqrt(Pi))/2, A(c) = 1/Pi
1/Pi = 0.31830988618379067153776752674503..
Pi/2 = 1.5707963267948966192313216916398..
sqrt(Pi) = 1.7724538509055160272981674833411..
2/sqrt(Pi) = 1.1283791670955125738961589031215..

Re: MC Square design
(Morbus Cyclometricus Square, "impossible" geometry tool)
aka "Entertainment = MC Squared", SoCS = Side of Circle's Square

"Calculates" squared circle's diameter or area (SoCS) of circle.
Long side, hypotenuse of right triangle have identical increments.
Arc drawn across both sides performs the calculation.
As accurate as a slide rule, depending on precision of construction,
but more popular as a spoof of "impossible" Quadrature.
Dimensions of circle-squaring right triangle (for angular reference):
hypotenuse (diameter) = 2, long side = sqrt(Pi), short side = sqrt(4-Pi)
