Sorry for being cryptic. I was sort of silly that night.
Here's the translation:
Knock, knock, hello. I wonder what has happened to the meet up plans?
The baby to little smile to great big smile is the passing of time until the plan to meet up becomes a firm date.
and, lastly when? George when?
It's pretty much the same thing as everyone here has expressed. Meeting up would be so awesome and it's hard to wait for news of when it will become a reality.

I was just wondering how many Canadians were on this site and right away here you are . I too was thinking
about a 1111 get together but for me, even though I too am Canadian, anywhere in North America is about the
same price as I have to fly from here. I'm as East in Canada as you can go .
Nope we never got back on the plan it fizzled out when the economy went downhill in the good ole USA. I'm getting ready to relocate in New Mexico and its not too far from Sedona, so you never know. I'm looking to start a safehaven that would surely fit all my family here on the MB but its only been in the dream stages, so I'm going to get there and make it my reality. Being one of the original people working on this meet up maybe we can revive it again I'll have to emerse myself in with the metaphysical folks out that way and see what we can come up with.

It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end.
Aww Laura...I can just see you setting up something for us and others at your place.
When it's complete I'll come. (Field of Dreams: "If you build it, They will come!!" )
Pet,
It will be my pleasure having you and yours and tell Teeta will get her some mossie repellant. I cant wait to get started. I'm going to see my kids and grandkids in Louisiana and than I need to get our car and stuff so I'll pick up my sis and will do a roadtrip. See some relatives on the way and get there before hubby takes his vacation. I wanted to do the trip with him but it might be better I go ahead and get us set up. I need to get off this truck I look like a buddha and cant get exercise or eat very healthy. I'm going to break out my tai chi video and start a eating healtier.
Love and Peace Always,

Hi little Buddah,
Oh I bet you are ready for some solid ground beneath your feet. As much fun as tooling around the country sounds, I bet after awhile it does get old.
And I've got a bit of a spead myself...the remnants of Christmas with the family in the US. (My goodness, we love to eat when we are all together! )
I look forward to the day when we get to visit with each other face to face!
Enjoy your grandkids and the road trip with your sis, Laura.

So, I just read the last 6 pages of this thread...has anyone secured a date and a place for the the "Meet Up"? It's a wonderful idea and we should make it happen. This thread started in October of 2007. I want to do some traveling too!!!

Hello there. Page 11!
This is a great idea to meet up, but I cannot attend. I'm tooo far away. As a matter of fact, I'm in another continent, Europe here. So....but you should definitely take some photos and let us the rest 'taste the atmosphere' of the meeting.

It would be a bit tough to get the planet together but maybe we could coordinate a meet within our respective
countries with a mission to do an international meet at a later date. Even a meet up at the state or provincial
levels may be possible. Given that I am from a province with a small population, I am probably the only 1111'r
around so the meeting could be a my place I believe.
Ah there you go again Roxie!
If I'm ever in your neighbourhood, I'll.........climb that table top mountain with you and your
wife, if she wouldn't mind!!
Personally, I don't think we'll ever all meet up, but....one still hopes!

Hi there Rose. I've been to NS a few times this year. I picked up an airplane from Bear River last fall and flew it down this
past spring. I was also in the Halifax area for a few days the third week of July. So you heading this way next spring ?

Petra,
how did you know about the Table Top mountains, you've been checking out the Gros Mourne Park?
I actually flew over that area on Monday and have a lot of pictures. The Table top mountains are the mountains
that scientists proved the existence of tectonic plates .The mountains are made of peridotite a rock which belongs
two kilometers below the ocean . When on the mountains it looks like your on mars really. It's a mustard, orange and
red coloured landscape with no vegitation . Oh and the range is actually called the Tablelands .

Hi Roxie - I may be coming over for the Atlantic Paddle Symposium which is being held in Terra Nova National Park this year. The Symposium will only be for a weekend in May, but If I can swing it I'll hopefully take some extra time to do some exploring and try my hand on some of your amazing whitewater & creeks and see some different areas of Newfoundland. I've only been to St. John's for a short time with work, but it was lovely to be able to walk a few minutes from downtown and be able to hike & see fjords and feel as if I was in a different world!
Next time you're coming over, drop me a line!

Hello Roxie, I mentioned Table top mountains because I thought you'd mentioned that
you and your wife often climb that area...
It sounds fabulous and I'd really love to see it with my own eyes. Pictures are so superb
but not the same as being there, eh?

If you are a kayak owner the place to be is the West Coast of Newfoundland. This is where the Fjords, Mountains and abundant river systems are.
See the video clip below. I'm the male hiker in this video BTW except for the old guy in one scene. I also drove the motor home LOL .
