Good discussion about racial stereotype history. :roll

 What's lost in this new perspective is that these stereotypes sold a lot of product for decades,
suggesting that there were things quite positive in the associations - not racial degradation!

From a nutrition perspective, any product requiring a promotional stereotype
is probably more advertising than product quality (essential nutrition).

The world is heading toward no-effort mobility (personal transportation without walking),
making the journey just a visual experience ... if you pay attention to what's passing by. ;)

Forget how to walk long distances? AI will instruct ... with video! and/or robot trainers
(and the robot can carry you if mobility with effort gets too difficult).

That's so "last century!" ... apparently.

Evidence that this coronavirus infected skin cells in the nose and throat,
cells then suffering damage from immune response to the infection?
 Interestingly, this hints that the ACE2 mechanism is the secret to limiting coronavirus severity:

Once a cell is infected with this coronavirus, it's history as far as the immune system is concerned.
And limiting ACE2 receptivity* might be beneficial once coronavirus presence is detected
(infected cells help the virus to replicate and infect other cells via their ACE2).

* short-term while the immune system gets control of the infection.

 Somehow this "debate" about reparations for long-past racial injustice
seems tantamount to negotiating with diaphanous Public Opinion ...
with the defendants better known (usually labeled by the media)
than the victims (descendants of many generations long past)
who collectively (via the media) create this Public Opinion.

 Where to go from here? Formal representation with documented evidence
of the injustices, realistic deliberations, and specific plans for fair reparations.
Considering that every generation of every race accumulates debts
to the past, "reparation" itself becomes more diaphanous ...
when intelligently examined.

"Muslim males have the highest rates of death involving COVID-19 among all groups,
with a risk of dying that is 2.5 times higher than males who have no religion."

"those identifying with 'no religion' ... had the lowest rate of death,
with 80.7 deaths per 100,000 males and 47.9 deaths per 100,000 females."

 Obviously, God prefers to welcome Muslim males sooner ...
another way such statistics can be interpreted.

Seriously, such statistics prove that race and religion are secondary
to characteristics of people who are vulnerable to COVID-19, such as
living conditions, social habits, employment, diet, weight, age.

 However, one commonality that seems more telling:
whoever is exposed to the virus for several minutes (or more)
will likely contract it and produce symptoms ... eventually. :(
Their asymptomatic period (when in contact with others)
may also explain why friends/family contract the virus
and inflate the figures for their group(s). ;)

"When the coronavirus outbreak was discovered on the Roosevelt, Crozier sent an email to several commanders pleading for more urgent Navy action, including the removal of nearly all sailors from the ship to protect their health."

"Admiral Michael Gilday, chief of naval operations, said Captain Brett Crozier, who was fired as captain of the USS Theodore Roosevelt in April,
was guilty of 'questionable judgment' in handling an outbreak of COVID-19 aboard the nuclear-powered ship in March."

"Gilday likewise faulted Rear Admiral Stuart Baker, Crozier's direct supervisor as the carrier's strike group commander, for poor leadership.
they did not do enough, soon enough, to fulfill their primary obligation' to keep the ship's 5,000 crew members safe, he added.

 Since this article does not identify what Crozier (and Baker) should have done ...
and Crozier had "pleaded for more urgent Navy action", logical conclusion would be that
Crozier should have pleaded sooner ... and not by email!

:duh And considering that, in March, the entire world was still trying to evaluate
this unique coronavirus, Crozier (and Baker) should have been studying ALL information
communicated by experts - worldwide - and forwarded this (but not by email).

"Chauvin was charged with second-degree murder. The other three officers at the scene --
Lane, Kueng and Tou Thao -- were charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder."

 The point of law (charge of "second degree") is that murder was intentional -
not occurring because of failure to recognize the suspect's health problems.

The court deliberations should be interesting since this type of restraint
is (was) common to many police forces (murder is not intentional).
The many news reports hint that all four officers might be guilty
... of manslaughter - not murder (IMO).
