(aka, "the scalene ABCs of squared circles")

All those numbers! :stars:

A pre-bedtime alpha level (after a nourishing late-night snack) must be the explanation for such "wiggly" numbers.
Today, easy online access to the design is "good & sufficient" geometric nourishment for these ABCs:

:farao: I still suspect some "downloading" after the 3:33 visit a few days ago,
since neuronal buzz during recent days was a bit intense.

 A next-day review of the design hinted that something was still missing in the geometry.
Hours later, I was convinced that the square root of 2 needed more central presence.
Say what? Where? How? :?

 This rhyme came to mind and solved the problem:

Regarding the presence of square root of 2
a compass and square, obtuse but for you. ;)

:sunflower: Time for kitchen creativity

I recall a simple chocolate recipe created by Auntie Oxidant
(nickname for her generous use of a certain laundry detergent)
and stored in her ice box (now called "refrigerator"):

:study: Combine 1/2 cup of 100% Natural Cocoa with 1/3 cup hot water,
stir well, then add 2 tsp sugar and 1 tbsp melted coconut oil.

Stir like a roadrunner chasing his beep beep ... :bike: ...
then spoon onto the shiny side of foil. Cover with another sheet
of foil, then press flat and freeze in the ice box for several hours.

:D Break hardened chocolate into pieces and keep frozen.

"If you don't like my homemade chocolate, you can kiss
my beep beep!" always grinned Myth Auntie Oxidant.

You know, George just asked me today to make some chocolate as I hadn't made some in awhile. I have been trying to make a healthier version of an old favourite but it involved agave syrup that now has fallen out of favour and considered similar to corn syrup in nutritional value and that translates into Not so good for you.
Anyway, I must try Auntie Oxidant's recipe.
I wonder if I can substitute Stevia for the sugar...

Thanks Rod, it is just what I needed. :D

Sandy,

The Auntie Oxidant chocolate is not really candy but is still a satisfying chocolate treat (melts in your mouth)
... and couldn't be easier to make. Stevia should work but 2 tsp sugar is so little for a recipe that
makes about 8 servings (re: 100% natural cocoa antioxidants per day). 8)

;) For parties, serve in a chilled bowl resting on chipped ice.

:flower: Re: Ipso Facto Lite design (spirit presence?)
I should have known! A "compass and square" might be a living entity!

:bounce: When exploring the central geometry (specifically, 4:43 viewed as a prompt today;
0.4431134627.. = sqrt(Pi)/4) to find a line length related to .443, an outline of
a seeming spirit presence appeared.

 Whimsically, I wondered silently:
"Are you the elusive spirit of squared circles?"
"Yes, of course!" was the faint response.
"No, you are not!" I insisted. :!:
"Then, to whom are you speaking?" was proffered.
"Auntie Oxidant?" was my flippant response.
"She's on the other line - please hold."

 Since I can be quite vulnerable to suggestion when hungry,
I then headed to the freezer for a few pieces of Auntie's EZ Chocolate.

Rod ... :bike: ... (off to buy more 100% natural cocoa)

You are absolutely right of course, I've just gotten into a habit of leaving sugar out of things. Do you use raw cocoa or I think it is called cacao when its raw?
We really love the homemade chocolates and they are very delicate, melt in your mouth and hands etc.. The trouble is, limiting yourself to even one or two pieces
It's so good!

Sandy,

I've tried the raw cacao powder and even cacao nibs (made me think of coarse, chocolate-flavored, used coffee grounds).
So, (but still focusing on antioxidants) I compromised with 100% cacao cocoa powder, found in many large grocery stores.

 Also, the lesson learned about Auntie Oxidant's EZ Chocolate:
this is not candy but intense chocolate fudgesicle pieces. :D

I love fudgesicles!
I don't have quite enough cocoa on hand to make them yet but will do just as soon as we get to the store. The coconut oil is supposed to be really good for you too. So you can't go wrong with this recipe.

:flower: Re: Pieces of Eight (new design concept)

:study: Re: http://www.history.org/history/teaching ... 5/iotm.cfm
Pieces of Eight, one ounce silver coins (each, 8 reales) were the world's first global currency.

"In the eighteenth century, the value of a coin was not determined by its face value,
but by its weight in gold or silver." [compare to today's billowing fiat money]

:farao: While these designs are focused on the geometry of squared circles, allusion to world events sometimes occurs.
"Who can tell?" why Pieces of Eight came to mind as this allusion, but I was reflecting on 8 similar Pythagorean triangles
that correlate the geometry of two squared circles (diameters = 2 and the larger 2(sqrt(2)).

 The message may be that Pythagorean "pieces of eight" existed long before this first global currency
and (via inherent symbolism in the design), a celestial "global currency" remains the greater value;
not at all ephemeral like the still evolving currencies of the material world.

 Got gold? Is the mint above or below the celestial horizon? ;)

Almost lost in my creative poppycock* are the 8 points that started this research almost five years ago:
when a perfect square rests upon its circle, there are only 8 points of contact between circle and square.

 While some Poppycock may be tasty, squared circle geometry is "impossibly" precise. ;)

Thanks for posting that interesting article on pieces of 8 and money in the American colonies, Rod. makes me think of Colonial Williamsburg. Some day I would love to visit that place. My son and new wife went there on their honey moon and brought me back a cookbook with wonderful recipes from an elder time and some as modernized and served in restaurants in Williamsburg. I'd like to try my hand at a few of them... if I can find the ingredients.

Well, onwards and upwards with the geometry... after this tiny tea break!

Such a crosswind approaches ... apparently! :farao:

Why the helmet symbolism in the center of this design seems appropriate may relate to Pieces of Eight as currency, long associated with pirates because of their attraction to this planetary booty. "Batten down the hatches" and prepare to defend your Pieces of Eight (whether material or spiritual) forecasts this symbolism.

The symbolism is farsighted if the "helmet" and diagonal green lines
are perceived as a new era, integrated compass and square ;)
by which to chart another planetary course! :roll

:flower: Re: Pieces of Eight design
Such a crosswind approaches ... apparently! :farao:

 So, what's the message of the symbolism? Poppycock? Dangers of fiat money? Charting a new course?

And by what geometric magic do the two sets of similar, golden Pythagorean triangles (one set above the other) each square their enclosing circle [diameters = 2 and the larger 2(sqrt(2))]? What say your own neuronal Pieces of Eight? Maybe we can't get there from here ... in this dimension.

:geek: While the symbolism may be obscure, the geometry is not so elusive: The two sets of golden, Pythagorean triangles correlate portions of the scalene triangles that square their enclosing circle. Note the long side of the inner triangle whose length equals half of the base of the scalene that squares the next larger circle. 8)

Now, that's money in the Squared Circles Bank! ... but keep an eye on the storage fee.
"Aye aye, Captain" :salut:

Now, with the central "helmet" appearing as headphones
worn by a musician, today's vision is "Let it be music":

Speaking of Squared Circles Bank ...

 This geometry shows potential for revealing an "impossible endorsement" (proof that the circle is squared).

Of course, a simple "X" on the endorsement line does not qualify, but a geometric object set properly positioned
on a Cartesian X & Y axis at least secures the attention of the bank's many acute and obtuse controllers
... who all maintain that deposits to the Poppycock Account are still welcome.

Well ... this may take a while to isolate ("color code") the Lines of Interest (LOI).
Interestingly, LOI has texting complements: "laughing on the inside", "lack of interest"

 Well ... (and speaking of Squared Circles Bank), the second complement
is how I describe typical savings accounts.
