:hithere Hi everyone, I just spent a week in Lansing Michigan.Link. I added the Wikipedia link incase anyone wanted to learn more about the city. I stayed at Hampton Inn suites about 15 minutes away in the town of Okemos and then I drove to Lansing every morning. I was able to see my prompt for this trip while I was reviewing my receipts. I found it on the rental car agreement, near the bottom of the page I saw a charge for an 11.11% Concession Recovery Fee.

The real story is concerning my return trip from Rochester, Minnesota last week. I had been working on some elevators for the Mayo Clinic Mayo Clinic Link All went well at the clinic and I flew back to Newark airport Friday night and then I had that 2-hour drive home. While I was driving home I found myself about 10 to 12 miles from my home and that’s when I had the thought “Haven’t seen 1111 this trip” at that point I remembered that the mileage on my car had almost reached 1111** the week before, but I had not checked the mileage since then, so I looked down then and saw just how close I had been to missing the prompt.

Looking at the mileage that was displayed and knowing how far I was away from home I realized that I would be at 1112 ** just before I arrived home. I took a picture of the dial while I was driving and then I took the second shot while I was sitting in my parking spot at my house. The red color in the second shot is from my covering the flash. I wasn’t sure if the flash would be too bright, so rather then take the chance I covered the flash.

If I had not gotten that thought about not having seen a prompt, I know that I would not have checked my mileage. It’s really something I don’t do on a regular basis. I’m just glad that I did have the opportunity to see it and capture it for you as well.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Well, maybe I can do that as a Hobby.
memawlaura wrote:I'm glad your moms doing well, she's a strong womand.
Strong and feisty are real good descriptions of her, she just had another small stroke and is back in the hospital. She is 85 years old and still fighting. She is scheduled for 2 weeks of physical therapy and for speech therapy since she is slurring some words. But other then that she is doing well.
memawlaura wrote: What type work do you do Nick, I see you have a volt meter?
I work in tech support for an Elevator Controller manufacturer. When I don’t train mechanics, I troubleshoot problems they can’t correct. I have added just one type of our controllers below.

My last trip was to St. Louis Missouri ( Link)
I would have had another picture but decided not to take it. I didn’t want to take a chance that it would delay my trip. I had been waiting at one gate for our connecting flight from North Carolina to St. Louis when they announced a gate change. When we got to the new gate I was leaning against a wall and I looked across the rows of seats in the waiting area and in the opposite wall there was a door for an electrical closet. The number on the door was 1111ELC. If I had sat right down in a chair when I got to I would have missed it. I really didn’t think taking a picture of an electrical closet in an airport would be a good idea. But then again... I could have given the police the link to our board here and to this thread. :D

The receipt was from a vendor in that same airport. The trip to Missouri went well but I had started having some discomfort in my back and right leg. (That was the reason I had been standing in the airport waiting area.) There was a handrail on the wall that I had been leaning on and I was pressing this rail into the sore part of my back. Well, so far it turns out it may be my Sciatic nerve . I’ve been home for the last 1-½ weeks. Between the medication and also the care of a Chiropractor it is finally starting to feel better.

:D Nick,
I'm sorry to hear your having back problems and that your mom had a small stroke, but I'll include you both in my prayers for speedy recoveries. It sounds like your back on the mend. You get more 11:11 prompts, do you answer them :P .

Thanks for the prayers Memawlaura, always could use prayers.

I always give thanks when I get my prompts. I especially appreciate these special prompts that I am able to pass on. This could very well be what they want me to do.

Thanks again

Hi Nick,

Yes that sciatica is a 'pincher' for sure,,,,and very irritating,,,it doesn't take much of the wrong posture, to pinch that nerve...make sure to balance any load you carry.....once you start having problems with sciatica, it's really easy to irritate,,,so take care...hope you're feeling alot better by now...

Sorry to here you Mom has had a small stroke, she really is a fighter...

Your picture prompts are wonderful....

and since you're getting so many, are you meditating to find out what for???

there is a reason you're being prompted...and passing them on doesn't really do anything for someone else,,,,because they're 'your' prompts...

I think it's time you said HI, back!!!

take care, and many blessings especially for your Mom,,
(and you too)

love, pp

Hi PP, You are right, and the laptop bag I carry on my right shoulder is more then likely the culprit. I'll try to use the wheels whenever possible, especially now. I’m starting to feel some improvement.

My Mom is still doing pretty well. She is funny; every time my sister tells her she had a stroke she doesn’t believe it.

I’ll have to work on that meditation. You’re correct about the prompts being meant for the individual.

Have a great night

Love and Peace

Nick

Hi Nick

Yes, you probably are right too, finding out what the culprit is I mean...
and once you know what it is, it's easy to change shoulders more often, or like you said, just get down to 'wheels'...

The trick is, once you're feeling good, is to stay that way,,,and not think oh it's ok now, and carry on....

I've been just amazed at the different ways I've had to figure out to do things, since I pinched a nerve in my neck...

the Dr.s call it "life modifications",,,,,,modify is right,,,or learn the hard way...

Your Mom probably has an already fixed idea (which she doesn't want to accept), about stroke victims.....tell sis, not to tease her about it, or even remind her anymore, they tend to get easily upset over what seems nothing at that age.....and what's the point afterall...

loves to your Mom,

pp

:hithere Hi Everyone, Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

I quess my gift this year was an understanding Boss. I have not traveled since that last trip where I started having a problem with my sciatic nerve. I did go into Manhattan Friday to see how I would do. I still had alot of pain and when I stopped walking it felt like someone was running a Blow Torch from my foot up my leg to my lower back. That lasted afew minutes. Then I would walk a block and repeat the process. Lucky I only had to walk 3 blocks to the building.

Today has been a pretty good day, it's actually the best I had so far, so there is hope :D . It looks like I get to work out of my home office Wednesday as well, so that gives me even more time to recover.

Love and Peace to all
Nick

Suggest you ask for Dr. Mendoza to fix it. Two years ago I had "sciatic agony" and the Doc came -- told me to roll over in bed -- and he almost fixed the problem.

Two weeks later he cleared it completely.

God bless.......

Hi Peacockplume, I can cut down a lot on what I carry, but the Laptop is a necessity and that’s the heaviest thing in my one bag. But, you can be sure I'll watch how I carry everything and use those wheels on the bag as much as possible. Heck, I even let the young mechanics carry my Laptop bag when they offer. ( Now I know I'm getting old  ).

:hithere Hi everyone,
I hope everyone had a Happy New Year. January 2nd I took my First trip in a month. I’m doing better. I can walk without a cane now and actually sleep in a bed and not a chair.

I went to Miami, Florida. I must have brought the cold weather down with me. It was in the Forties while I was down there. I was working in a Radisson Hotel on Biscayne Boulevard. The hotel was going through some modernization ( it could use it. ) I was there Wednesday till Friday and every morning I met the mechanics in their workroom and the first chance I got I would lean up against this table by a wall that was near the entrance, so that I could rest my leg.

Well Friday morning a New mechanic was standing in that spot, so I went and stood across from him and now I was able to see the wall that had been behind me all that time. On the wall was a paper with all emergency numbers and I saw that my favorite prompt 1111 were the last 4 numbers of one of those phone numbers.

If that new mechanic had not stood in my spot I would have missed the prompt for this trip. I handed my cell phone to one of the other guys and asked him if he would mind taking a picture of the sheet of paper that was posted on the wall. My phone would not send the picture to my email address so no picture yet, but I’ll keep trying.

I had Dinner at Flannigan’s restaurant every night and totally enjoyed the Blackened Tuna steak. I’ll be working out of my home office on Monday so I still get time to heal. The sciatica is much better so your prayers are working.

sure wish I had done it 4 yrs ago.....

something to think about...

:hithere Hi PP, I know what you mean. Lucky for me my job is not that demanding. But, then again I never thought walking would be a challenge, so this was a wake-up call. I do have a five year plan (Actually 4 years 8 months now. :D ) to retire and I'm working toward that goal. If I can do it sooner I have no problem with that.
