The real story is concerning my return trip from Rochester, Minnesota last week. I had been working on some elevators for the Mayo Clinic Mayo Clinic Link All went well at the clinic and I flew back to Newark airport Friday night and then I had that 2-hour drive home. While I was driving home I found myself about 10 to 12 miles from my home and that’s when I had the thought “Haven’t seen 1111 this trip” at that point I remembered that the mileage on my car had almost reached 1111** the week before, but I had not checked the mileage since then, so I looked down then and saw just how close I had been to missing the prompt.
Looking at the mileage that was displayed and knowing how far I was away from home I realized that I would be at 1112 ** just before I arrived home. I took a picture of the dial while I was driving and then I took the second shot while I was sitting in my parking spot at my house. The red color in the second shot is from my covering the flash. I wasn’t sure if the flash would be too bright, so rather then take the chance I covered the flash.
If I had not gotten that thought about not having seen a prompt, I know that I would not have checked my mileage. It’s really something I don’t do on a regular basis. I’m just glad that I did have the opportunity to see it and capture it for you as well.
I hope everyone is having a good weekend.
