Hello PP, I was collecting Mathilda from a birthday party and clocked a load of birds of prey in my peripherals on the ground in the garden and thought: "If you're gonna be naff about it, why not gnomes?" It turned out that they were real!
Before I could say: "Mathi! Get yer coat!" the host's mom plonked that gorgeous bird on me and I shat myself, as you can tell by the hysterical grin on my face!!
The owner of those birds didn't half take the piss out of me because I was so surprised to be holding such a creature without any warning!
Oh and he was lovely! He looked at me straight in the eyes at one time while I was all but cowering towards the ground as if to say: 'Are you all right love?"

The DVD or the book Nimi? I have the book but not the DVD. I've been very matter-of-factual about the secret to my husband Phil. He often dwells on the negative and I all but shout to him when he does: "STOP right there! You're sending those vibes out into the universe only for them to return right back to you. " When you think of the end result as a done deal, then stop dwelling on it!

OK, bye bye Petra XXX

Hey Pet,
Well it couldn't have been a more beautiful picture,,,,,it's just incredible to look at,,,(let alone be there),,,,I bet he was a good weight too....
did she happen to say if she knew how old that one was???

I don't think I could hold the full grown one we've seen on our property, but the young one that I got pics of this summer, seems to be about the same size as the one you are holding....

We have a raptor farm in the area, although we've never visited it, it was closed the one day we drove by and discovered it....

I'm still flabbergasted by your experience, and I wasn't even there...

Hi nimi,

Glad to see, you're on to 'the secret',,,,,if you get the chance,,,,take a look at the book, that The Secret was based on.....

it's called, "Ask And It Is Given", by Esther and Jerry Hicks, channelling Abraham....therein you will find the actual process on how this really works,,,,and how to really make it work.....in depth.....

There's a thread by the same name in the misc,,,,,way down on the list now, because I haven't been posting anything lately....but it'll give you the starter basics.....

Enjoy the journey..

Hello all you dear beings ,

Wow, it's once again been a month since I've found the time to actually sit down and write in, but I've been checking in on this thread and the whole board in general frequently, and thinking of you all often, so I thought I'd pull up a chair, get a cup of hot chocolate (Dagoba organic hot cocoa is my favorite! Mmm!), and chime in on the ongoing coffee-table dialogue that this massive lovely thread has become famous for!

Sweet Sandy, thanks for writing in with your kind and encouraging comments right before your trip, and how cool to read about your synchronicity with the turkey vulture! I hope you're doing well out here in the U.S.A., and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we all miss you!

A lot of the art I've been doing has been incorporating local animals that we see in this area. One of the first silk hoops I painted was of a grey squirrel, then a couple days later, a grey squirrel just like the one in the painting started hanging around on our back deck, and still comes to visit regularly. It really seemed as if painting the squirrel had attracted him to us. So then I thought about it, and realized that in all the books I've read about communicating with animals, they say animals communicate a lot through mental images. When doing art of animals, I usually find photos of them on the Internet first, then look at them on my computer screen while drawing/painting them, so I am literally focusing on their image and holding it in my mind for an extended period of time. Ron and I started talking and thinking about this concept, and soon, other creatures began to show up outside near our back deck, posing right near us, turning all different ways as if giving us a full view of themselves from every angle, and looking right at us (including that encounter with the turkey vulture above), as if to say, "I'm here too! Paint me too!"

So now, any time a new creature shows up somewhere in the view from our back deck, I take it as a sign to make some art of it! This has happened so far with ravens, hawks, Steller's jays, snowy egrets, and hummingbirds in addition to the squirrel and the vulture, and some other as-yet-unidentified birds. Just the other day, I even saw, and heard the tap-tap-tap of, some sort of red-headed woodpecker in a nearby tree, so I'm adding him to the list too. It all seems like an interestng manifestation of the law of attraction as well! Perhaps I'll even add the raccoons that keep trying to get into our trash cans at night (even though I haven't actually seen them yet, just heard them, and seen their little paw prints all over the sides of the cans)!

The art gallery's still not quite open for business yet, though it's close. The folks doing the remodeling are rushing to get it open later this week or this weekend so we can bring our art in. We've been madly pricing, labeling and inventory-ing our pieces as part of the preparation, an educational experience in itself!

Once again, it's impossible to catch up on everything in this thread, and I imagine that I'll have to begin practicing the art of writing shorter, quicker posts so that it's easier to post more frequently! But I'll comment on a few things, at least:

Memawlaura
, I looked up that link you sent in on the energy vortex in Jacksonville, Oregon! Wow, that's fascinating!

Gypsie Deb
, I also Googled Mt. Warning. That really looks like a beautiful and powerful area, with the rainforests and all those tall trees, the volcano, and sacred land! Also, I haven't written in on the thread with the beautiful photos on your granddaughter yet, but I've been following it, and congratulations, she is lovely!

Oh, by the way, Nicola, last time I wrote in, I forgot to congratulate you as well on the new little angel you are expecting!

Dear Liz, I've seen many of your posts, but haven't said hi to you yet! Welcome to the boards, and I too have been enjoying your kind-heartedness, givingness, and enthusiasm! And it's true, all the pictures you've posted of yourself are indeed cute as a button!

Mo, that was a beautiful movie on blessing that you sent a link to; it had me in tears as well! Also, how wonderful that you got to see the Muir woods and the parrots on Telegraph Hill!

Petra, I love your current avvie with the owl, as well as your story about it and the characteristically humourous way in which you told the story! That must have been quite an experience! Maybe just seeing this owl in your avvie means I ought to paint him too, eh?

PP, Memawlaura, Mo and all, it's great to see all your work on the 11:11 get-together and the other threads you've started about it. In all honesty, due to a combination of several different factors, when it comes right down to it, I'm not sure whether I (or Ron and I) will actually be able to make it, so I haven't been chiming in with any further input or preferences. But I will be keeping an eye on the evolution of the plans, and just see how things evolve...

Welcome also Amy, Alesandro and Nimi! I hope I haven't missed anyone else!

Oops, time to go make lunch!

Much Love and Blessings to Every One of You,

Aqua Deb LUV2

Yay PeacockPlume!

Thanks for inviting us! This time I'm ordering a Schokinag hot chocolate -- this brand is very rich, and is made of little pieces of chocolate than melt, instead of powder. It also comes in a bunch of different flavors, like dulce de leche (caramel), as well as various kinds of chocolate. It's thick, smooth, creamy and excellent, but loaded with calories, so I don't usually drink it. But since this is a special occasion, well all right, twist my arm!...

On one of our Abraham DVD's, this issue comes come, and Abraham tells a story about how Jerry (the husband of Esther Hicks, the woman who channels Abraham, for those who don't know) can never remember his age (probably for that same reason!), and how he went to the dentist once, and the dental hygienist was getting annoyed with him because she was trying to fill out paperwork on him and he couldn't remember his age. So then she went and looked in their records and found the information, and told him. And he just replied, "I've forgotten already!"

Oh, and by the way:

H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y, L Y N N !!!!!

Have a great dinner out to celebrate!

Love,

Hi Kim,
Well, believe it or not, the glass in my hand was non-alcoholic...

and the hat,,,,well,,,,the last birthday I had with my Mom before she passed over, she was in the hospital,,and I had taken her down to the gift shop....she said, what do you want for your birthday this year. and I picked up the hat, and said 'This',,,,and it was my last birthday present from her....so it's very special....good name....birthday crown.. :queen: just pretend the top is orange....
..I like that.
I'm glad I got you laughing....

Every year, I'd get something to do with a pumpkin,,,stuffed toy pumpkins, ceramic ones,,,,and I'd carve quite a few also,,,,

I only bought one this year, and it's getting 11:11 carved on it for tomorrow.....

after dinner tonight, we went to the Casino in our small town (and a very small casino), I put in $5.00 and won $16.10 so i made 11.10 and said to Al, well there's the 111 numbers,,,,

it was fun, only stayed half an hr, gamblings not my thing....

so now, my day is almost wrapped up.....and you guys in AU and UK, are already into Halowe'en....careful with the fireworks everyone.

we're getting quite a group of birthdays, Aleah, Amelia, Jeremy (memawlaura's son is today also),,,,,I'm in good company.....

and celebrating my 500th post too....

Deb, is that hot choc drink, easily available, specialty shops maybe, I gotta find some... good luck with your gallery opening,,,,it will be successful, with all the energy from your friends who come to your deck to get painted. way too cool....

I hadn't heard the story about Jerry    of course being in a dentist office could make a person forget anything.....

much love to all, and thanks for all the birthday wishes. it was a really good one. :loves :loves :loves
pp :queen: (just remember the top is orange)

Hi Aqua Deb

:hithere :hithere :hithere :hithere :hithere :love :hithere

It'a so nice to see you, WOW you have been so busy, I don't even know what half those animals are  so when you get another moment remember to post a picture    That's rich coming from me I couldn't even post a picture of Amelia, Nasari what would i have done without you??? :shaking2:

Your home sounds like heaven on a stick (if that is possible) I hope you don't have any bears or crocs there  in Australia you can go hang the washing out and have a deadly spider come crawling out from under a rock :sword: be prepared the law of attraction is a powerful thing, only kidding.

Years ago we went on a family holiday and my cousin went to the loo out
the back, she came screaming into the house yelling

"I've been bitten by a snake on my backside"

My Dad grabbed a tourch and went out (hospital needs to know what has bitten you) he flashed the tourch into the old wodden lou and there was a chicken, sitting quite happily. That was until my cousin woke the chicken up  Nope she wasn't bitten by a deadly spider or snake, she was pecked by a chicken

Poor girl has lived with that story for almost 30 years

Hi to everyone else  big hugs to all

Love Gypsie

PS: PP my email is behind a firewall  well I think that is the problem,I will sought it out asap

Hi Again Everyone! :hithere

Here's my Exercise #1 in practicing writing quicker, shorter posts on this thread!

Memawlaura, thanks for your kind wishes and prayers! :D

PP/Lynn, I ove the 11:11 pumpin in your avvie -- what a cool idea! The North American website for that Schokinag chocolate (in particular, this is their "European Drinking Chocolate") is http://www.schokinagna.com. You can order it online, at least from the U.S., but they also list Canadian distributors somewhere on that site.

Amy, Thanks for the comments on my hair! If you look way back through this thread, you'll see that it's the result of several experiments with henna, kind of an ongoing process!

Gypsie Deb, You're right about that law of attraction thing -- I'll definitely not paint any poisonous spiders or the like! Fortunately we don't have crocs in California (though I think they do some places in the U.S., like Florida.) We probably do have bears though, but maybe more at higher elevations (hopefully, anyway!) What a hilarious story about the chicken in the loo. I just wonder, though, what chicken in its right mind would want to sit in a loo in the first place? Oh well, maybe it's just one of those species-centric things!

As you've requested, here are some pictures of those animals on the list I gave above that I've actually gotten around to painting so far. The others are on the waiting-list! I added feathers and beads and such to some of them to make Native-American-style power shields. In the picture, top row from left to right are hawk, raven, and turkey vulture. Bottom row, from left to right, are Steller's Jay and grey squirrel, then I also added in a smaller ocelot power totem I made for a friend of our who loves all types of cat, although there are no ocelots around here (but how cool it would be if there were!):

Much love to all,

:D Nice work Aqua Deb,

You did capture a native look with the top pieces, it reminds me of a dreamcatcher but with art in the middle.

They are just beautiful  I love them, you are very talented and the feathers are magical.

Happy to hear you have no crocs or bears running around the yard but I need to ask what is a ocelot? It's more than likely called something different over here

Yes, the chicken in the lou is a funny story and I agree if I were a chicken (I feel a poem coming on ) the lou would not be my hangout.
It was one of those old wodden lous (Auzzies call them bush dunnies) where there is a peice of wood which covers the hole in the ground, the chicken was , I guess, keeping warm from the cold. Or maybe it really was a a species-centric chicken (now I feel a song coming on    )

Thank God we have this thread Geoff would have thrown me out months ago :salut: OK all sorted I'm off to clean this house!

Hi ya Gypsie Deb,,,,and Aqua Deb and Memawlaura, and Amy,
Did I go far enough back.... anybody I missed, not on purpose,,,

so Hi ya all,,,,

yes this thread is off the beaten track,,,,,isn't it. good thing too, always need a place for the ladies to gather (ok, and the gents too), for some of those wonderful 'drinks' (almost typed drunks),,,,,
and I knows we ain't those...

Ocelots, I don't know if they're smaller than cougars, but from the cat family anyway, and they have markings,(where as cougars don't) but can't remember, and too lazy to look them up.....ho hum....

Debbie, debbie, debbie, gypsydebbie, pulheeze stop talking about those spiders,,,,,,,hallowe'en phony ones are the only ones I can handle, and we have wolf spiders out here in these woods, I go out with a stick and wave it in the air in front of me as I walk along my paths, or sure enough, theres a web, right at face level, and a 'good sized one " in the middle..... :sword: :sword: :sword:

When you finish house cleaning, c'mon over.....

I have the bears too (being another west coaster like A/D, nice black ones, they let me build my house, right on their path.....what nice bears,,,,it took them a couple of years to realize that pile of wood wasn't going to move, so they still go around, but higher up on the hill,,,,,I've seen them though....got some good bear stories, but not tonight dear ones.....not tonight....

Aqua Deb, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful artwork.....my favourite would have to be the raven, as it's a common bird of the west coast.....another story there, for another time.....we also have red tailed hawks too, but I really like the raven one....

Thanks for the Schokinagna site,,,,will check it out...

Well goils,,,,,it's almost 11, and I'm tired tonight, so not going to stay on the computer, even though there's a bunch of mails to answer, just don't think I can stay up much longer....

love pp
