Latest and Greatest

I am thinking about all the places people can find their spiritual home, something that appeals to them, this morning.

Perhaps we all feel we are on the cutting edge of spirituality, etc, like we have the latest greatest information...but do we? think about it for a moment. God is...WOW... indescribable, all knowing...Love on a scale we cannot fathom. Therefore, it stands to reason that, as evolving beings, we may eventually discover new information that seems previously unknown. But is it really new if God is Infinite, always been, and eternal? What entails the latest and greatest? What is it we need? Is it something to get us through this life with peace, dignity, and hope in our mortal lives as we look to the beyond? People are so different, and some want to know every detail of the eternal future... Maybe it boils down to finding a place and an interest where we feel we belong and a practice that reveals God to us in a personal way. I have a feeling God can work with that. I'm not sure why I am contemplating this morning; I'm just thinking out loud.

Sweet Sister. Thank you for taking your time with stillness and sharing your expansive feelings here. This means more to me than any answer, 'satisfactory' or otherwise.

Life tends to filter through the ego and material body. I believe we are more than these things. Still, we are only here for a moment and so the medium with which we experience is valuable.

The medium comes with presets and limitations, which are meant to be explored.

The information we receive, the realities we perceive may be interpreted any number of ways with relation to where we reside or what we believe- which are subject to change.

We can experience things that are lasting or transcendental.

Whatever any one person decides, I conclude what is real- is the relationship With.

With who or what is for the individual, with the sovereign bestowal of free will, to decide.

The way I understand it- God is the only reality. Everything else is relevant data for the purpose that we might know ourselves and know God.

My current belief system is- the experience continues even after the mortal body, our temporary dwelling, is returned to dust.

I am more and more surprised to find the concepts in the Urantia Book- with phrases like, 'Eternal Career' and 'Godward' in alignment with my being. I used to tell Mom as a kid, 'I'm always working' as a joke knowing full well it meant that I am engaged in the life after life endeavor to cultivate awareness and align my self with the very tenets found in the UB- Truth, Beauty and Goodness.

I think more so I align with beauty and goodness, because my current perception is this: Truth IS and I am having an experience with it.

Yes, the personal relationship With(to me) is the ultimate expression. And the beauty is, we all share this common bond- the experiential relationship With God.

Hi Sandy.

I agree with everything you wrote. Our own achievements always pale in comparison to God's fullness, and on top of this, the steepness of the mountain of growth should become more obvious the more we grow.

Lately I am being taught by Spirit, that some of the most important things in spiritual growth and consciousness development, are part of the unknown and the unseen. Wow that was a big lesson for someone like me who attempts to plumb the depths with the intellect, with greater or lesser success.

It seems the logic mind needs to be shoved out of the way sometimes in favour of raw intuition, the direct communion with the Spirit?

P.S. Our achievements of soul and consciousness are meant to contribute to the birth of the Supreme Being. Therefore even amateur levels of accomplishment stand for something.

Another brilliant fact: we can all tap into the achievements of Urantia's greats like Jesus, Enoch and Elijah by connecting with the Planetary Supreme in our meditations. This is tapping into the self-mastery that led to overcoming the harsh conditions we can find on our planet. There is an abundance of wisdom and insight to be discovered here. My understanding is She (the Planetary Supreme) can be discovered in a purple or violet light frequency. She is compassionate as She knows intimately, the best (and the worst) of humanity now and throughout history.
