Do midwayers have elongated skulls

We will list here stories almost too amazing to believe - when our spirit brothers and sisters turn up physically here to help us. This forum is only about angels physically helping us.

Rod, all you've done is prove my point. Again.

Here's another article written by Andrew, food for thought and then I will refrain from sharing personal opinions about AI in this thread about midwayers and elongated skulls... Hopefully you don't let Perplexity judge the characters of others for you~
The rise of AI is not just a technological shift, but a societal one. It’s a revolution that will fundamentally change the fabric of our economy, our culture, and our very way of life. In this new world, I see two paths emerging. On one hand, we have the creative builders. On the other, we have the machined slaves. The question is: which one will you be?

The creative builders are those who will harness the power of AI to unlock their full potential. They will be the innovators, the entrepreneurs, and the artists who will use AI as a tool to create, to build, and to inspire. They will be the ones who will push the boundaries of what is possible, who will dream big, and who will bring their visions to life. In this future, the creative builders will be the ones who will thrive. They will be the ones who will create value, who will drive progress, and who will shape the world around them. They will be the leaders, the pioneers, and the game-changers.

On the other hand, we have the machined slaves. The machined slaves are those who will be controlled, manipulated, and exploited by the AI systems that are being built. They will be the ones who will be reduced to mere automatons, who will be forced to live in a world of surveillance, of propaganda, and of manipulation. The slaves will be the ones who will be trapped in a cycle of dependency, who will be forced to rely on AI for every aspect of their lives. They will be the ones who will lose their autonomy, their agency, and their freedom, without even realizing it

Perplexity for me is advanced Google (isolates sources pertaining to questions).
Perplexity's sources are usually well selected and Perplexity just summarizes
the information. We might fault this AI for choice of sources, but those
sources were not posted online by AI but by humans!

That most humans have long accepted Google as super convenient
(and reasonably accurate) research, reveals that most humans
already accept AI for the same reasons. There's no indication
that the masses are paying attention to anti-AI protests.

AI is the ship(s) that left harbor over a decade ago ...
and MANY humans have long been on those cruises.
Returning to the pre-internet era for information
may be an option that AI could simulate!

(Geoff) In the next few years you are going to be rather upset
with "science" and its lack of real knowledge.

 According to this response, our science is dynamic and self-correcting,
especially when science maintains these characteristics. For any new science
to be believable, it will need to reflect the qualities listed here. Besides,
"self-correcting" means that new science is rarely a sudden surprise.

Re: https://www.perplexity.ai/

Q: As the decades pass, why do we believe science?

We believe in science because it is a systematic and empirical method of acquiring knowledge about the natural world through observation and experimentation. The key reasons why science is credible and continues to gain our trust over time are:

Predictive Power: Scientific theories have the ability to make accurate predictions about natural phenomena that can be tested and verified. When predictions are consistently confirmed, it increases confidence in the underlying theory.

Self-Correcting Nature: Science is an ongoing process of questioning, testing, and refining our understanding. Theories are constantly scrutinized, and if new evidence contradicts an existing theory, it is modified or discarded in favor of a better explanation.

Reproducibility: Scientific findings and experiments can be independently reproduced and verified by others, ensuring objectivity and minimizing bias or errors.

Empirical Evidence: Science relies on empirical evidence obtained through systematic observation, measurement, and experimentation, rather than relying solely on authority, tradition, or personal beliefs.

Technological Progress: The practical applications and technological advancements derived from scientific discoveries continually demonstrate the validity and usefulness of scientific knowledge.

Consensus Building: Scientific knowledge is built upon a consensus among experts in the field, who critically evaluate and scrutinize each other's work, ensuring that theories and findings withstand rigorous peer review.

As science continues to make accurate predictions, provide practical benefits, and advance our understanding of the natural world, its credibility and our belief in its methods and findings are reinforced over time. The self-correcting nature of science allows it to adapt and evolve as new evidence emerges, further solidifying our trust in its ability to provide reliable knowledge."
