"Ethereum blockchain slashes energy use with 'Merge' software upgrade"

"Most blockchains devour large amounts of energy and have come under fire from environmentalists and some investors.
Before the software upgrade, which is known as the Merge, a single transaction on Ethereum used as much power
as an average U.S. household uses in a week" :o

 Interesting revelation ... and creating one bitcoin uses even more power :!:
Apparently, costs are distributed across the platform and in bitcoin purchase.

"Beta Glucan: Supplement or Drug? From Laboratory to Clinical Trials"

"experts began to understand that every infectious disease is accompanied by a reduction
of food intake and the eventual changes in food composition, both of which result in
substantial changes or even inhibition of numerous immune functions." :o

 Apparently, less food variety/quantity (e.g., diets of elderly) and poor food quality
(like many fast- and processed foods) all contribute to decreased immune function.
A very pro beta glucan article with lotsa info! Emphasis is on reasonable quantity
of real food ... and not on supplements (vitamins, minerals, etc.). ;)

"Emojis that make you seem less likeable when flirting:

1. Pile of Poo (PoP)
2. Angry Face
3. Eggplant / Aubergine"

 Emoji 101/102 will soon be necessary courses in school since these are becoming
popular hieroglyphic symbols for communication. Some, like PoP, are multi-use messaging
for successful recovery from that debilitating nutritional deficiency (lack of fiber) ...
or for opinion about certain electronic communications. ;)

:bana: What's fascinating about PoP is that this has various meanings,
probably requiring clarification. However, PoP in a burning bag at your door
on Halloween is probably a prank; clarification is best any other day.
If not burning, "... and you don't light my fire!" may be the message. :?

Plan B (aka "Big Screen") would project views onto a wall. :roll

"Scorpions can detach a body part to escape a predator - a process called autotomy. But when they lose their tails,
they also lose the last portion of the digestive tract, which leads to constipation - and, eventually, death". :(

"At this moment we are literally witnessing economic implosions all over the planet,
and the stage is being set for an immensely painful 2023. :(

 The worldwide Feds' aggressive interest rate hikes to control inflation may be guided by outdated algorithms,
probably related to cost of energy (especially oil)! The costs to produce, package, transport, and present for sale
all the merchandise that humans buy are HUGE! Demand (spending) for these products necessarily increases
with these energy-related costs. ;)

And drop in demand necessarily indicates that many people cannot afford even basic necessities :!:
That "Pain is necessary to control inflation." is like saying "You'll need to give an arm or leg, literally!"
to have a better life in subsequent years; give more for an even better "after" life!

'1960's art of cow getting abducted by UFO in midwest' "

 Good indication of what AI art is (or is not), could be (depending on) ...
AI (Artificial Intelligence) art contrasts with NI (Natural Intelligence) art.

 Next thought ...

A human, well attuned to guidance "from above", will paint the better picture since a computer has not access to such guidance.
Nevertheless, AI, as art tool (e.g., paint, brushes, paper, etc.) is promising! but is electronic manipulation of artistic expression.
However, an electric paint brush is in the gray area (depending on color selected) ;)

:study: Re: https://www.wired.com/story/the-joy-and ... ut-limits/

"Some fans of AI art worry about the effect of removing guardrails from image generators.
The host of a YouTube channel dedicated to AI art ... claims that the Unstable Diffusion community
is also creating content that might be considered child pornography. 'These are not AI ethicists ...
these are people from dark corners of the internet who have been given the keys to their dreams.' "

:duh Negative aspect of AI art. Not prevented in human art, but easier to create and share with the world.
"Have AI art? Have it to yourself!" could become a slogan for some AI genre once "guardrails" are removed.
Unlike human art where you know what you're going to create, text input to AI image generators might cause
surprisingly undesirable (or not) images. Who can tell? Let children try these sans guardrails generators
to discover what parental supervision might be needed. :o

The real skill in creating this AI art is creating text that causes desired (or not) images.
