Hi Rod,

I thought the baby Yoda cake was a solid effort in the above article. :)

I've had some real home made birthday cake doozies that would have made all those "not so beauties" in the article look like works of art. The infamous "volcano cake" comes to mind and the gingerbread house cake that collapsed as if it had been condemned during the Happy Birthday Song is another one. Still I agree with you... the true value of any cake is how good it tastes. And my disasters always tasted great! :bana:

"Dreaming of winning the lottery? These horror stories may change your mind."

"Money doesn't always buy happiness. In fact some lottery winners have experienced bankruptcy, divorce, prison time and have even been murdered. Experts say if you win and don't contact a reputable tax professional and a reputable investment adviser, you could land yourself in big financial trouble. If your first step is to tell family and friends you won, it could lead to close people in your life demanding money. Lottery winners who aren't equipped with how to wisely save their millions often blow through their cash."

 Instead of happily wondering "What if I win the lottery?",
seriously contemplate "What if I win the lottery?"

Apparently, the greater portion of it needs to be immediately controlled
by a reputable someone else who provides your reasonable needs & wants
... with some of this available for sharing sooner than later. ;)

Or at least provide "evidence" of this arrangement.

"(Governor) signs law forcing stores to have 'gender neutral' sections

 I've long depended on gender-traditional toothbrush colors
(now including other genders) to eliminate any toothbrush bias ...
but favor certain colors to remind of local times of the month.

"Could Laundrie still be alive if he's in Florida's Carlton Reserve?"

 Logically, even a "mediocre survivalist" would know the difficulty
of surviving in this Reserve ... but would appreciate that others
think he could and keep searching there.

 This adventurer seems to prefer distance travel
over shorter periods of time (not easy in this Reserve).
It's conceivable that he told his parents he was going
to the Reserve but didn't go there. ;)

Final update, October 21 ...

"(Laundrie's) remains recovered from the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park in North Port, Florida"

 Apparently, high water in the park infested with snakes and alligators,
created unsurvivable conditions for this "mediocre survivalist". :(

"requires stores to have gender neutral areas"

:hithere Intriguing concept, this "gender neutral" ...
considering the many genders that now exist :!:

Obviously, some products associate with gender-traditional themes
like bras, jockstraps, "feminine" cosmetics, facial shaving, etc.

Apparently, gender neutral areas may not display such products
as learning aids for children who become adults that use them
... despite their preferred pronouns. ;)

"DC’s new Superman comes out as bisexual" :o

 According to new gender identification rules,
Super"man" is no longer accurate. :?

 A gender bender pill (or vaccine) would be more believable

today's humans re-orient in their teens (or before).

 No Fridge Diet comes to mind (timer limits access).
And timer can be connected to a "punishment meter"
that accumulates fines for after-hours access. :o

Of course, timer could also send warning
to a gate keeper's smartwatch or cellphone.

Tip: In the White House, a servant (aka "enabler")
would have been the gravy train conductor. ;)

Now, investment in low-elevation coastal properties
should probably wait a few decades (and considering

 Apparently, many bodys have known about this for a long time
... proving the great research value of today's internet:

:study: According to the internet, the function of antibodies has been known for decades!
They're part of "acquired" (adaptive) immune system - not "innate" (first line defense);
antibodies defend against a virus after infection has started (which helps explain
how they can reduce symptoms: immune system response is less aggressive
because the antibodies have neutralized some of the virus). 8)

"first phase of 50,000 living residents to be welcomed into the city by 2030" :finger:

 Diversity of sexual orientations, religions and political affiliations hints that
residents will need to be committed to such diversity when they arrive ...
for it cannot easily be mandated by societal rules and laws.
