"Six Dr. Seuss books — including 'And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street' and 'If I Ran the Zoo' —
will stop being published because of racist and insensitive imagery"

While it's appropriate - even commercially sensitive - to stop publishing such books,
increasingly popular
Cancel Culture (
CC) could rationalize discarding other insensitivity:
Animals do not naturally wear people clothes and should not be depicted this way!
And "Green Eggs" hints of improper food handling! Even the Grinch and Christmas
could be sidelined because Christmas has traditionally been a religious holiday
(but not for many religions).

What's especially intriguing about
Cancel Culture in commercialism
is that products sans popularity typically disappear from the shelves
CC morality dictates that popularity is not justification for sales.
Cancel Culture could even focus on what's offensive to seniors ...
like young men with pants drooping over their butt, revealing underwear
(insensitive because seniors' butts need to be well-covered).

Who knew?! that
Cancel Culture can coordinate a positive movement:
erasing all of the graffiti - worldwide - often offensive to some people!
... and then consider the cave drawings of early humans.
BTW: The Seuss books are for children

Were children interviewed
to determine their awareness of this purported insensitivity
