"almost no one on the street is practicing proper infection control with regard to COVID-19."
"The mask you wear all day gets contaminated from within by your exhalations and from without by the exhalations of others. Is anyone putting on a new mask every hour? Of course not. Even the best N-95 mask is a hotbed of germs, inside and out, after just a few hours. Paper masks degrade even faster, and cloth masks and bandanas are effective only for bank-robbing. They're literally sieves when it comes to microscopic bugs."
"And don't even get me started on the 'six-foot social distancing rule.' It's a made up, arbitrary distance. Someone sneezing sends droplets much farther — someone yelling, farther still. The length of a football field is probably the ideal for social distancing."
Apparent best plan: Maintain a good immune system;
6' distance is still good if the wind's behind* ... and no one's there.
This virus' mantra: "All behinds are mine in due time."
* If you be sick, stay home

"The 5-4 ruling is a win for supporters of abortion rights who argued that the law was not medically necessary and amounted to a veiled attempt to restrict abortion. The law barred doctors from performing the procedure unless they had admitting privileges at a nearby hospital."
Essentially, a technical point of law (while abortion is still legal).
Opponents had devised a way to limit abortions: deny admitting privileges to doctors who perform abortions.
This ruling just means that abortion opponents need to find other ways to limit these procedures.

"It took three months for the first one million people to become infected, but just eight days to clock up the latest million.
The fast-climbing rate, especially in the US, is the result of governments relaxing lockdown restrictions too early"
Most likely, the first lockdown kept the incubating viruses confined to families and close friends.
With premature lifting of lockdown, many incubators (most asymptomatic) rushed out and shared the virus,
of course, not intentionally but still ignoring the mask rule and contributing to the "eight days".
However, sharing must have been occuring a week or two before these eight days,
considering the typical asymptomatic period before any symptoms appear.
And continuing influence on statistics is the increasing rate of testing.

Good counter-point but overlooks that Roe v Wade became law, followed by similar rulings
which support the majority opinion about Louisiana. Roe v Wade will have to be overturned first
before the Louisana law can be invalidated ... apparently.

Note the mask that Hidalgo is wearing (not "medical grade"),
OK for brief encounters (?) - not for close contact in offices.

Lost in this debate is that the law prevented more doctors from performing abortion,
but did not consider why more doctors would be willing. Perhaps, like street drugs,
both users and pushers are related problems (no demand - no sales).

"Indoor dining was scheduled to resume Thursday along with several other big reopening steps including Atlantic City casinos, amusement parks, boardwalk rides and arcades ahead of the busy July 4th weekend. "Why American life went on as normal during the killer pandemic of 1969"
However, H3N2 was not COVID-19 (a more contagious virus)
and H3N2 is a "flu virus" whereas COVID-19 is a "coronavirus",
apparently bio-engineered (not a mutation of existing flu).
Evidence to date hints that COVID-19 is not going to be seasonal
because this virus keeps spreading whenever allowed ... and because
it's contagious during the multi-week period where asymptomatic,
newly infected people go on with life as normal.
From the economic perspective (and popular view), it's better to allow
the disease to spread than try to prevent it with lockdowns; a view
complementary to belief that the world is overpopulated.

Their common symptoms hint that virus quantity and time of exposure are significant (they're roommates!).

That non-medical masks can be somewhat protective hints that this virus spreads mostly by asymptomatic people

after exposure ... because they don't know that they were exposed (unless a sneeze or cough occurred).

"A company named Mobilewalla released a report titled, 'George Floyd Protester Demographics: Insights Across 4 Major US Cities.'
It produced 60 pie charts detailing what percent of protesters in these demonstrations were male or female, young adult (18–34);
middle-aged (35-54), or older (55+); and 'African-American,' 'Caucasian/Others,' 'Hispanic,' or 'Asian-American.' "

"Microsoft is banning the use of the confederate flag in the racing game, Forza
... It also banned Nazi symbols and imperialist Japan's rising sun flag.
Players who use the flag must be reported before being banned."

(head device will be available first, then brain implant).
Not to worry! Taboo thoughts, by then, can be erased
or replaced by politically correct thinking (chip in the brain).
Apparently the flags will be left in the game to test you.
(May the Forza be with you! ... or against you)
