QQ Burgers (pronounced "Double Q Burgers")
Pre-baked Quintessential Quinoa with extra ingredients
to create burger-like texture. Serve hot as a loaf or cool
then refrigerate; then briefly fry patties in oil to reheat.

Then top with melted cheese?
Does a bear sit in the woods?!

Ingredients:
1 2/3 cups water, simmering
1 cup tri-color quinoa, rinsed
1/2 tsp garlic granules
2 tbsp dried parsley
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup light oat bran
3 tbsp virgin olive oil
1/3 cup brown rice flour
1/3 cup egg whites
1 med. sweet onion, diced
(or half diced, half minced)

Directions:
Add water to a large sauce pan and heat.
When water is simmering, briefly rinse quinoa
then stir into simmering water. Cook until
water is absorbed (about 20 min.).
When QQ is almost cooked, heat oven to 350F;
lightly oil 8" x 8" baking dish.
Turn off QQ heat but leave pan on burner.
Stir in herbs & spices, then well stir in
remaining ingredients in order listed
(helps moisturize properly).
Spoon mixture into baking dish,
press down firmly with a spatula,
then cover with foil and bake 45 min.
Remove foil and bake 10 min. to brown.
Serve hot ... or cool, then refrigerate
in a covered container for later use.
