Subtle understatement about masks: their greater value is to prevent the spread of the virus - not to avoid it.
We might assume that local prevention is minimal if a small percentage of people in a group are wearing a mask,

Logically, "coronavirus free" would be impossible unless everyone had immunity - worldwide,
since international travel and goods transportation will continually bring in more of the virus.
Apparently, significant "herd immunity" is the real goal to keep the virus well-controlled.

The protocol to limit spreading of coronavirus seems simple: If you're sick (have symptoms)
or have been exposed to someone with symptoms, be cautious (wear a mask, at least).

Apparently, in the seasonal flu - for years, worldwide - the media has not reported on overwhelmed ICUs (and medical staff), crematoriums, and grave diggers, as well as all the protective equipment/protocol mandated for this unique coronavirus. Comparing this coronavirus to the flu (a different virus) is not good analysis ... IMO.

Apparently, "lockdown" is society's best solution for a virus that was so unknown in the beginning months. However, a better
compromise now seems to require no (or less) lockdown ... especially when the greater percentage of a population wears a mask
(since the MANY asymptomatic carriers are the main ones who spread the virus, according to latest analysis from experts).

"Few people are wearing masks now!" They're ready for another wave.

One's immune system tries to eliminate the virus when detected.
Thereafter (according to many studies), excessive immune response

Gambling to get even more money occurs all the time, even by those who desperately need what they're "investing". The problem is that this is not perceived as gambling - it's investing! (stocks always go up ... eventually. "Buy the dip!").

Maybe this was the real behind-the-scene justification for a government stimulus: a probable percentage of the stimulus would be lost by those "buying the dip" (the savvy investors trim their losses by selling into the dip before the stocks continue downward).

Chickens (and other animals) are "euthanized" when killed for disposal,

Makes sense - major grocery stores are usually cold with clean, dry air inside (less opportunity for virus particles to float in the air).
And for those workers reported to be infected, that infection probably occured before they came to work, such as in ride sharing ...
