Both Mocco and Hussain believe the coronavirus is causing blood clots that block or narrow the blood vessels."

:study: Re: https://www.the-sun.com/news/759445/cor ... -lockdown/

"Hokkaido eased restrictions on March 19, allowing businesses and schools to reopen after cases fell to one or two a day.
But 26 days later, the island has re-enforced its lockdown after 135 new cases were reported in a week."

 Obviously, this virus will spread however it can ... and with its characteristic longevity (including on surfaces) and the many asymptomatic people, generous reopening of society now is probably not wise. However, neither is severe lockdown the answer ... apparently. :duh

A compromise seems critical with those "at risk" most isolated from those more likely to be asymptomatic. After all, the real stress on medical resources (according to the news) is usually from "at risk" patients who develop severe complications. And until widespread societal testing occurs, what data sources benefit the prediction models? Statistical Ouija Boards?

Incidentally, air seems to be the more consistent means of transmission (IMO), suggesting that indoor air conditioning can be just as problematic as breathing air contaminated from an infected person nearby (or recently nearby). :o

"I would rather not open at all then at 25 percent and wait until we get to 75 or 100 percent."

 Considering that this choice is only between profitable big business and healthy customers/staff,
it might be a good time to let the smaller restaurants (aka "Mom & Pop") achieve survival first,
restaurants that have more flexibility in their economies of scale. ;)

However, a quickly increasing percentage (e.g., 25% two weeks, then 50% two weeks, then 75%, then 100%)
might be tolerable while the government, et al., document how well the virus is being controlled. :finger:

If not solution, then probable indication of the near-term cost of decreasing use of fossil fuels.

 This far into the pandemic and still no ability to test this government's chamber
strongly suggests (IMO) purposeful control of testing ... but for what agenda :?: :!:

"the Frankfurt-based bank - which itself is in dire financial straits - has capitulated and to avoid paying the ECB's punitive rate
will soon introduce negative interest rates for even its medium depositors." :(

 Interestingly, even positive interest can be "negative" if the rate is less than the money would earn in another bank (or investment asset). From a different perspective (of a property owner), negative interest is like the owner paying a renter a small sum to rent his property without a renter's payment required. Quick analysis: Got property or money? Here today - gone tomorrow! ... slowly, without spending.
