Re: https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/ ... r-believed

"Based on the initial data, researchers estimate that the range of people who may have had the virus to be between 48,000 and 81,000 in the county of 2 million - as opposed to the approximately 1,000 in the county's official tally at the time the samples were taken."

 This suggests (IMO) that more people were asymptomatic, acquired some immunity to the virus, and would therefore help prevent a later reoccurence (or not so problematic reoccurence). The evidence how far a sneeze or cough carries the virus supports this research. ;)

He did not explain what he meant, but appeared to be referencing speculation — so far unproven — that the virus was accidentally released from a laboratory in Wuhan conducting research on the pathogen."

 This attitude complements reports that other countries were financially supporting the Wuhan research (for legitimate reasons). :o

Isolating asymptomatic carriers can help minimize virus spreading!

"Acute kidney injury from COVID-19 coronavirus has compounded with the vulnerability of chronic kidney disease patients (CKD) to infection,

 More evidence that this is a new virus, unlike previous coronaviruses and flu viruses (acute kidney injury is rarely mentioned in seasonal flu episodes, especially regarding insufficient big-city dialysis resources). Patients now starting dialysis daily (peritoneal) or weekly (hemodialysis) will also keep hoping that some day it will be "time to start living again". :finger:

"Coronavirus lingered in woman’s eyes long after it cleared from her nose"

 This might explain why people tested as free of the virus but had it again later
(how/where it was tested is important) ... and suggests that having COVID-19 is not
"all or none" but varying quantities of virus particles (and where located in the body?).

Apparently, an immune system needs lotsa time to find all the particles and kill them.

 So, that's why we're instructed to take ALL of our antibiotic prescription
(bacteria also are not suddenly eliminated). With no proven cure yet for COVID-19,
giving an immune system lotsa time seems reasonable. ;)

"we are seeing an alarming explosion in the number of newly confirmed coronavirus cases in Singapore, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Peru, India, Brazil and Russia. So while it is true that the lockdowns have temporarily slowed down the spread of the virus in some areas of the globe, it appears that we are witnessing the emergence of a 'second wave' in other areas. :(

"And of course the countries that have been successful in slowing down this pandemic could see another huge surge in cases once their lockdowns are ended. Sadly, the truth is that we are still in the early stages of this crisis, but most people don’t seem to realize that."

 Apparently, severe lockdowns are successful in keeping good control of the virus, but the lockdown world desperately wants to "start living again". Bottom line: Until good vaccines are available and/or significant immunity acquired by those exposed, this virus will continue to spread ... especially if lockdown rules are relaxed too fast. After all, worldwide transportation will guarantee that existing pockets of the virus continue to seed "second waves" ... or more. :o

"Herd immunity is when 60% of a population is immune to a disease or virus, which is usually achieved through vaccination."

"sampling data and models indicate that about 20% of the population in Stockholm, Sweden's capital and the location of most of the country's 15,000 confirmed cases, is already immune to the coronavirus."

 Good news about this virus, albeit Sweden is a "Scandinavian nation with thousands of coastal islands and inland lakes, along with vast boreal forests and glaciated mountains" and is lightly populated (10 mil. as of 2019) ... with this immunity based on statistical sampling.

"Data taken from March to early April showed that the median age of patients was 63 years old and 53 percent of all coronavirus patients suffered from hypertension, the most prevalent of the ailments among patients."

"42 percent of coronavirus patients, who had body mass index (BMI) data on file, suffered from obesity while 32 percent of all patients suffered from diabetes. The study also revealed that the overwhelming majority of patients who were on ventilators eventually died ... and those who did more often had diabetes." :o

 More research hinting that good health is required to avoid serious complications of this virus ... and "good health" nurtures a robust, disease-complementing immune system! Interestingly, ventilators might also be more problem than solution. However, these data percentages are not that significant (47% did not have hypertension, 68% did not have diabetes, and median age includes both older and younger patients). ;)

:hithere Speaking of good health ...

Few articles about virus prevention and recovery ever mention the role of dietary fiber,
the primary means by which toxins and other immune system debris are eliminated.
Fiber and beneficial bacteria are also necessary components of "good health".

The great seduction of COVID-19 (and most viruses) may be one-sided focus
on not contracting the virus contrasted with the necessary complement:
not spreading the virus.

 Fortunately, masks promoted to prevent breathing the virus
also help prevent spreading it with coughs and sneezes ... :finger:
since spreading is dependent on human participation.
