"FaZe Jarvis has been permanently banned from "Fortnite" after the game's creator, Epic Games,
discovered that he had been using a hacking method to cheat in the game."

 On the other hand ... a gamer's mindset is one of using technology - all technology - to play the game.
In this venue, "cheating" is arbitrary definition, mandating fines or community service - not banishment!

Re: http://news.trust.org/item/20191106063148-co2y1

"Solein is made by putting microbes into a liquid and feeding them small bubbles of hydrogen and carbon dioxide, a process similar to making beer or wine, apart from the lack of grapes or grains. As the liquid thickens, it is dried into a very fine powder which is about 65% protein and tastes much like wheat flour."

 Seems to me (despite so much media attention to faux meat) ...

The human body was engineered (several MYA ; - ) to extract amino acids from foods and recombine them - as needed - into its daily protein; several decades have now passed where quality research supports the reality of this "engineering". Whatever we consume as "protein" is still converted to amino acids before they're recombined - as needed - by the body. ;)

More about amino acids ...

Re: https://www.nestandglow.com/life/complete-protein-vegan

"The good news is modern studies have debunked the thinking that every meal needs to contain all EEA and concluded there are no concerns over amino acids in a plant based diet. All whole foods contain amino acids - as long as you eat a wide variety of minimally processed whole foods over a day then you need not worry about amino acids or complete proteins."

:sunflower: While faux meat may be a substitute for meat, it's not a good substitute for plant based foods ...
and faux meat is more expensive than meat. Why consume faux meats? Ask the investors.

Re: https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news ... re-clothes

"Jane Fonda to fight climate change by ‘not buying any more clothes ... it gives me a lot of free time.' "

 I tried this with work shoes (at home), but had to replace my worn-out shoes when I ran out of Gorilla tape
(excellent wear for one season of yard work). But the time required to properly clean then tape the shoes
was about the same time required to buy a pair. :(

For some clothes, underwear, and socks, cloth medical tape works well!
... then there are safety pins, clothing glue, and needle & thread.
Tip: Use colored marker to blend taped holes with the fabric.

"'Boomer' is the N-word of ageism,' the 60-year-old wrote Sunday. 'Being hip and flip
does not make bigotry OK, nor is a derisive epithet acceptable because it is new.'"

 Who knew :?: :!:
that "ageism" was an epithet category of words (re: "Boomer").
... and yet "grandpa" and "grandma" are not age-related :?:
(maybe by context, "OK grandma" would be an epithet)

 Amongst friends and family, epithets are "colorful language"
with no bigotry intent, but not in public ... apparently. :o

Then logically, "OK" itself is an epithet because it communicates
that the recipient is not worthy of the longer "alright, that's fine". ;)
This trend hints that an AI interpreter will soon be required
to communicate without the slightest offense.

 Intriguing story since you pay when you receive your food ...

And consumed weed usually doesn't cause a quick high like smoked weed. ;)
However, the "10-piece chicken McNugget and a double cheeseburger" order

"The court found it legal for women to appear topless anywhere it was legal for a man to be topless."

 The court's argument is like comparing apples to oranges (or bananas),
since men cannot nurse babies at their breasts.

"Woman are equal, we should be able to do what a man can do and that's it."

... and this may be why transgender surgery has such public support. :o

 On the other hand, anatomy of men and women is hardly a secret now
(to any age group), so laws about obscenity in public should refer less to
natural appearance and more to actual or symbolic sexual activity.

Perhaps, lighten the laws so that a crime is committed only if a verbal warning
by a local offical (or public sign) to "cover up" is ignored. Good opportunity
for volunteer Parts Patrols (PP) to keep the neighborhoods "decent". ;)

"A discounting mistake on burger deals cost one of the U.S.'s biggest Burger King franchisees more than $12 million"

"Carrols Restaurant Group (operates 1,032 Burger King restaurants) says they mistakenly gave customers a double discount. The discounting error resulted in a revenue reduction of $12.4 million for the franchisee in the first nine months of this year and a net loss of $8.2 million."

"The customers were supposed to be charged normal prices for fries and drinks but were instead given them for lower value meal costs.
It caused the restaurants to lose roughly $1.50 on every sale."

:duh The burger franchise business (selling real meat) must be complicated if it takes 9 months to catch a "non-accounting mistake".
Maybe the year's poor tally finally convinced corporate HQ to redefine the discount as a "mistake".

"In one video, Hunger told Stella that it was time to lay down, but Stella responded with the word 'water.' When her human went to her dish, it turns out that it did need to be refilled. After Stella drank the water, Hunger again tried to get her to go to bed. Stella countered with 'toy ball want' to communicate that she wanted her Kong toy—something that is always in her bed with her. Once the Kong was found, Stella showed her gratitude by saying 'all done happy!' "

:bana: Did you know? ...
These single word buttons are quite similar in function to Chinese (single word) characters. ;)

"Historical evidence has pointed out that it was in the Middle Kingdom that domestication of dogs was first appeared. This can be traced as far back as 15,000 years ago, where scientists have identified maximum genetic variation. There was also a time in Chinese history when certain breeds were patronized by the rich and elite.

Unlike the yesteryears, people in China have grown to love dogs. Now it’s common for a Chinese family to have a pet dog, despite stringent government regulations."
