It's getting too difficult to know what to do with your fingers when gesturing ...
every finger can send a message as well as a fist
At least, putting your hands in the air with palms open and facing forward
has few meanings: "Pass the ball to me!", "I give up!" or "I'm preparing to bow down."
You might put your hands in your pockets, but that could mean:
"I'm searching for something." or "I have to scratch."
"The Chinese regime announced a new rule which requires residents to pass a facial recognition test
in order to apply for an internet connection via smartphone or computer."
... which should remind owners of that phone or computer (having a unique internet address)
that any user of their phone or computer is identified on the internet as the owner ...
and that ALL internet activity is collected for an audit trail in the Social Credit System.
"A doctor donated sperm 30 years ago. Now he has at least 17 kids, lawsuit alleges"
Is it possible?! that sperm alone does not indicate "father" but simply "DNA source".
When sperm can be created in a lab, there would be a "DNA source" but no "father" ...
suggesting that intent to create one's child also defines "father".
... albeit "effective intent" (oops!) might be a point of law.
"A woman identified on Twitter as Harukom recently took to both Twitter and TripAdvisor to call out Antico Caffè di Marte
for reportedly charging her and her friend about $471 (429 euro) for two plates of the dish and two glasses of water"
"restaurant owner Giacomo Jin told local media that the establishment was not misleading in its pricing,
and that Harukom’s order cost as much as it did due to the type of fish she ordered."
Probably actual cost, but not apparent the way the tourists ordered.
"Pub burger that is half Beyond Meat, half beef draws criticism: 'All or nothing'"
Uninspired marketing! Just place the BM over a real beef patty
and sell as a "Halfway To Meat Burger" or "Halfway to Faux Burger",
with pricing according to local popularity.
Or allow two diners to share, each selecting their preferred patty
and promote it as an "I'll Meat You Halfway" date.
"But the researchers hypothesized that the pathogens were disseminated to the clothing after the washing process, via residual water on the rubber mantle [of the washer] and/or via the final rinsing process, which ran unheated and detergent-free water through the detergent compartment."
"The research has implications for household use of washers, Schmithausen said, noting water temperatures in household washing machines typically reach a maximum of 140 degrees F or below for energy-saving purposes. The cooler temperatures do not kill potentially harmful pathogens as effectively as higher temperatures."
Recent articles about household washing machines suggest a frequent cleaning cycle with no clothes, hot water and bleach.
$1,050-a-month to live in a SHED! Outrageous listing in San Diego boasts one tiny 200sq ft room -
and the property realtor demands potential renters have a credit score of 650 or more"
Nice mini house - probably sleeps 4-6 (BYO sleeping Bag).
Maybe a good job for Elon Musk's mini submarines:
Tow nets of collected plastic to a dumping station (barge),
especially since collection would occur much quicker.
Drones could monitor the subs and prevent their theft.
This advice needs to include "in your 70s and 80s" ...
since some retirees are going back to work to retire again later
(or not at all), given shrinking economies - worldwide.
A dreamy, creamy job ...
but no history of consuming this fudge will limit applicants
... and diabetics (or pre-diabetics) can fuhgetaboutit Skinny people are not convincing about "history".
For your role in seriously promoting this candy,
you will not need to wear a red suit with horns.
Look past the probable first label of "garbage collectors" because these subs have the potential of becoming
the mechanical dolphins of the oceans and large bodies of water ... in the service of mankind!
And everybody loves a dolphin! (ask Flipper).
Seems to make sense ...
- There's "me" time (sleep alone) ...
- then there's "us" time (couples sleep togther) ...
- then there's "them" time (children snuggle in for a while) ...
- then there's "whatever" time (pets or whatever* snuggle in).
"Bugs, rodent hair and poop: How much is legally allowed in the food you eat every day?"
"dismembered creatures and their excrement are the unfortunate byproduct of growing and harvesting food."
What's the problem
Insects (etc.) are the new food for the millennium ... apparently.
... and call any non-food stuff "trace minerals (etc.)"
"New research shows that people dealt two or more blows to their income
had worsened thinking abilities and poorer brain health years later."
This hints that increases to income should produce better brain health years later
... but income increases and income blows might have similar results.
Who can tell Pass the money around and let's find out!
... since more people are now familiar with income blows.
"The flying reptile had a 12-foot wingspan. Its fossil was found in ironstone in a town in Queensland --
and it's the most complete peterosaur specimen found in Australia"
Scary! If you could have flown on the back of this peterosaur,
YOU might have been the in-flight meal. Watch out
if the captain turns around to check on you.
"Research reveals how many calories different positions burn - with standing up
landing first place at 350 calories and 'lazy' spooning ranking last"
OMG! With some restaurant meals (including soda and dessert),
you could be standing up for hours!
Waitperson: "May I inquire if you'll be standing up for dessert?"
Diner 1: (stopping a cell phone conversation) "No, my date will be paying."
Diner 2: "Standing up and leaving if my date doesn't put down that cell phone!"
"Leaves take up space and they also can break down with other organic waste to create methane,
a potent greenhouse gas which contributes to climate change"
With most city lawn care so intent on removing leaves in the Fall, it's good to see new environmental perspective!
(albeit removal of the higher mounds of leaves is the solution with in-place mulching of the remainder)
